PAID EDUCATION FUND. 30.01 The Employer agrees to pay into a special dues fund the amount of two (2) cents per hour per employee for all paid hours. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a fund established by Service Employees’ International Union Local 1 Canada and shall be utilized by the Union at its discretion.

30.01 The Employer agrees to pay into a special fund two (2) cents per hour per employee for all paid hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of union functions. Such monies to be paid on a quarterly basis into a fund established by Service Employees’ International Union Local 1 Canada.

PAID EDUCATION FUND. 35.01 The Employer will pay $0.02 per hour for all paid hours to be paid into a trust fund established by SEIU Local 1Canada for the purpose of providing upgrading members skills in all aspects of union functions.
PAID EDUCATION FUND. The Employer shall pay into a special fund three cents ($.03) per hour per employee for all compensated hours, for the purpose of providing paid education leave. The purpose of such leave will be to upgrade employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. PAID EDUCATION FUND. 44.1 The Employer agrees to pay into a special fund 3 cents per Employee per hour worked for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Said paid education leave will be for the purpose of upgrading Employees’ skills in all aspects of Trade Union functions. Such monies are to be paid on an annual basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW, and sent by the Employer to the following address: CAW Paid Education Leave Program, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxx Xxxx, XX X0X 0X0.
44.2 Members of the Bargaining Unit, selected by the Union to attend such courses, will be granted a leave of absence for class time, plus travel time where necessary, provided the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for wages paid to employees. There shall be a bank of 20 days available to the Union to divide among those selected members of the Bargaining Unit. Employees on said leave of absence will continue to accrue seniority and benefits during such leave, provided they qualify under the insurer’s policy.
44.3 No more than three (3) employees per year will be eligible for the Paid Education Leave Program and no more than two (2) employees will be on such leave at the same time.
44.4 The Employer agrees to contribute to the Paid Education Fund no later than August 15 of each year.
PAID EDUCATION FUND. The Employer agrees to make a payment to the Union’s Education Fund in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) during the month of December in each year. Such contributions shall be sent by separate cheque.
PAID EDUCATION FUND. The Company agrees to pay five cents (5¢) per hour into the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union, Local 175, Education Fund.
(a) Benefit coverage for employees on leave of absence in excess of thirty (30) calendar days to a maximum of sixty (60) days which commences from the first (1st) day to the fifteenth (15th) day of a month, shall be continued until the end of that month. When a layoff or leave of absence commences after the fifteenth (15th) day of a month, benefit coverage shall be continued until the end of the following month.
(b) Benefit coverage for laid-off employees shall be continues for a three (3) month period at the established arrangement. The three (3) month coverage will commence the first (1st) of the month following date of lay-off.
(c) Employees on layoff or leave of absence of thirty (30) calendar days duration or less shall have their benefit coverage continued.
(d) Benefits will continue for approved maternity leaves of absence.
(a) The Union and the Employer shall cooperate in maintaining regulations which will afford adequate protection for the Employees, in conjunction with the Occupational Health and Safety Act – and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Xxx xx Xxxxxxx, 0000.
(b) A Health and Safety Committee shall be established, comprised of one representative appointed by the Union and at least one (1) representative appointed by the Employer, in units with more than 10 Bargaining unit Employees.
(c) The Health and Safety Committee shall hold at least one (1) meeting quarterly of each year and all unsafe or hazardous or dangerous conditions shall be taken up and dealt with at such meetings. The Minutes of all Health and Safety Committee meetings shall be kept, and copies of such Minutes shall be sent to the Union and the Employer, and one (1) copy to be posted.
(d) In units with less than ten (10) Bargaining Unit Employees, the Employer will recognize one (1) Bargaining Unit Employee designated by the Union as Health and Safety representative for the Union in that Unit and will respond to issues raised, on Health and Safety matters, by that Representative, as per the OHSA and the WSIB (Workers Safety and Insurance Board). Such Representative will be, if requested by the Union, allowed leave of absence as required by the Union to attend the Health and Safety training, providing such leave is restricted to a maximum of two (2) one (1) day leaves per year and provided the operations are not negatively affected.
