STATUTORY AND GENERAL HOLIDAYS. 13.01 STATUTORY HOLIDAYS Regular employees shall be paid four point eight percent (4.8%) of straight time hours paid on each payday in lieu of statutory holiday entitlements for eleven (11) statutory holidays and one (1) floating holiday per year.
STATUTORY AND GENERAL HOLIDAYS. 14.01 Employees who have accumulated thirty (30) working days shall be paid without performance of work for the following holidays: New Years Day Thanksgiving Day Canada Day Victoria Day Boxing Day Labour Day Remembrance Day Good Friday Christmas Day Family Day (lieu day)* (lieu day taken at straight time) *Family Day shall be taken outside of prime time with prior approval from management.
14.02 Conditions of entitlement for holiday pay and the calculation of holiday pay on the above named holidays are as set out in Sections 199 – 202 of Division V (General Holidays) of the Canada Labour Code, R.S.C. 1985,c. L. 2, as amended, as the Employer falls under the category of “continuous operation”.

17.2 No work shall be done on Labour Day except in an emergency as necessary for the protection of life and property.
17.3 Any other day, which is proclaimed by the Federal or Provincial Government as a Holiday, shall also be observed.

22.02 One (1) floating holiday will be granted per calendar year, to all active employees that have satisfied their probationary period. The floater day must be arranged at least five (5) days prior and must be approved by the Company. In the event
22.03 With agreement of the Company and the Union, when Canada Day falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, the existing floating holiday as outlined in this Article may be taken on the Monday preceding the Tuesday or the Friday succeeding the Thursday, in addition to the Canada Day holiday.
22.04 All employees who have completed the probationary period as described in Article 8 shall receive payment for such statutory and general holidays based on their regular current hourly rate (lead hand premium to be paid for time not worked on a paid holiday where applicable), multiplied by eight (8), subject to the following conditions:
(a) To be eligible for holiday pay an employee must work the full work day immediately preceding and the full work day following such holiday, unless absent with permission of the Company.
(b) Holiday pay will not apply to employees on compensation or to employees absent due to illness for a period longer than one (1) week immediately prior to the holiday.
(c) Should any of the above holidays fall during the vacation period of an employee he/she shall be paid for such holiday at the regular hourly rate in addition to his/her vacation pay or he/she may take an additional day off with pay in lieu of the holiday by prior arrangement with his/her immediate superior.
(d) Employees that have not competed their probationary period will not be eligible for general holidays and floaters. COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT 17

6.2 Any employee working in the Yukon Territory shall further receive payment at the rate of double time for hours worked on Discovery Day or any new holiday declared by the Government of the Yukon Territory.
6.3 Any holiday falling on a Saturday or Sunday shall be observed the following work day(s). No employee shall be required to work on Labour Day except for the preservation of life or property.
6.4 The Joint Conference Board holds the right to determine the terms and conditions for Industry Holiday Shutdowns. Whereupon their decisions on these terms are final and binding upon the Parties involved.

The third Monday in February (Heritage Day) and the Friday preceding Labour Day may be worked at straight time rates, with an alternate day scheduled off in lieu, as mutually agreed between the Employer and the employee.
