Paid Meal Periods. Continuous duty schedules
Paid Meal Periods. An employee requested to work overtime beyond his/her regular workday shall be allowed a half-hour meal period paid at overtime rates, provided that:
(a) such overtime is in excess of two hours; and
(b) not more than one hour has elapsed between the end of his/her regular workday and the start of the overtime. The meal period may be taken before, during or after the overtime, subject to mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee.
Paid Meal Periods. Employees covered by the present Collective Agreement shall be entitled to a paid meal period of thirty (30) minutes after having completed four (4) hours of overtime work following their normal shift. For the purposes of calculating overtime, it is understood that this period is included with the hours worked.
Paid Meal Periods. Each employee who works more than four (4) hours in a row shall be given a one-half (1/2) hour paid meal period, to be taken with the individuals supported, who shall remain under the employee (s) supervision. Paid meal periods may be taken away from the workplace provided there is other staff to supervise individuals supported.
Paid Meal Periods. An Employee shall be paid for a one-half (1/2) hour meal period at double time (2X) rates, and the Employer shall provide a meal of reasonable quality or reimburse the Employee for reasonable meal expenses incurred, per Clause 18.05, in accordance with the following:
(i) where the actual overtime worked, exclusive of any meal period, is two
Paid Meal Periods. (Lunch Breaks). Paid meal periods will be eliminated, and affected employees will receive a pay increase of six point six-seven percent (6.67%) of the employee's base wage prior to any other increases provided by any of the provisions of this Agreement. Average hours for eligibility for specific benefits (other than health insurance; see Section 13.3.1) will be modified to reflect elimination of the paid meal period: 20 hours will become 19; and 32 hours will become 30. The Earned Leave accrual will also be changed to compensate for the elimination of the paid meal period: 0-2 years will change from .0730 to .0779. After the second anniversary to ninth anniversary will change from .0923 to .0985, and after the ninth anniversary from .1115 to .1189. 13.18 Selection of Insurers, Plans and/or Administrators. Nothing in this Article 13 shall be interpreted as prohibiting Employer from changing insurers, plans and/or administrators during the term of this Agreement as long as it does not result in any reduction in substantive coverage or benefits.
Paid Meal Periods. An employee shall be paid for a one-half (1/2) hour meal period at double time (2X) rates, and the Employer shall provide a meal of reasonable quality or reimburse the employee for reasonable meal expenses incurred, per Clause 18.05, in accordance with the following:
(i) where the actual overtime worked, exclusive of any meal period, is two (2) hours or longer before or after the employee's scheduled shift;
(ii) where an employee is called in and works four (4) hours overtime;
(iii) where an employee is required to work four (4) hours overtime beyond an overtime meal period already taken (Where the overtime follows a scheduled shift, the first meal period, regardless of when it is actually taken, shall be considered to have been taken immediately after the scheduled shift.);
(iv) where an employee misses a paid meal period to which they are entitled, such employee shall nevertheless be paid at the prevailing rate (see Clause 16.07 above) for such missed meal period in addition to all time worked.
Paid Meal Periods. When an employee is required to remain on the employer’s premises during their meal break, the employee shall be paid during the meal period at their basic hourly rate of pay. An employee shall be prepared to resume active duty during the meal period when required to do so.
Paid Meal Periods. When three (3) 8-hour shifts are in operation and a twenty (20) minute paid meal period is in effect for any one particular shift, the meal period will be considered duty time. To insure adequate coverage of their respective sections, employees must spend this paid meal period in their work area.
Paid Meal Periods. An Employee shall be paid for a one-half (1/2) hour meal period at double time (2X) rates, and the Employer shall provide a meal of reasonable quality or reimburse the Employee for reasonable meal expenses incurred, per Clause 18.05, in accordance with the following:
(i) where the actual overtime worked, exclusive of any meal period, is two (2) hours or longer before or after the Employee's scheduled shift;
(ii) where an Employee is called in and works four (4) hours overtime;
(iii) where an Employee is required to work four (4) hours overtime beyond an overtime meal period already taken (Where the overtime follows a scheduled shift, the first meal period, regardless of when it is actually taken, shall be considered to have been taken immediately after the scheduled shift.);
(iv) where an Employee misses a paid meal period to which he or she is entitled, such Employee shall nevertheless be paid at the prevailing rate (see Clause 16.07 above) for such missed meal period in addition to all time worked.
