Part-Time Entitlement, Qualifiers and Calculation of Payment. Any provision related to part-time entitlement, qualifiers and calculation of payment that existed in the hospital's expiring collective agreement will be continued in Article 17.01(b) except as amended by the September 29, 1989 improvements in the four, five, and six week entitlement for full-time employees plus the equivalent time off. In addition, the following provision will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provision related to progression on vacation schedule (part-time) that existed in the hospital's expiring collective agreement: "Effective October 10, 1986 part-time employees, including casual employees, shall accumulate service for the purpose of progression on the vacation scale, on the basis of one year for each 1725 hours worked. Notwithstanding the above, employees hired prior to October 10, 1986 will be credited with the service they held for the purpose of progression on the vacation scale under the Agreement expiring September 28, 1985 and will thereafter accumulate service in accordance with this Article."
Part-Time Entitlement, Qualifiers and Calculation of Payment. (The following clause is applicable to part-time employees only) Subject to any superior conditions:
Part-Time Entitlement, Qualifiers and Calculation of Payment. All part-time employees shall be entitled to vacation pay based upon the applicable percentage provided in accordance with the vacation entitlement of full-time employees. Vacation pay will be accrued as a percentage of gross salary for work performed on the following basis: A part-time employee who has completed less than 3,450 hours of continuous service shall receive 4% vacation pay. A part-time employee who has completed 3, 450 hours but less than 8,625 hours of continuous service shall receive 6% vacation pay. A part-time employee who has completed 8,625 hours but less than 22,425 hours of continuous service shall receive 8% vacation pay. Effective September 29, 2012, a part-time employee who has completed 8,625 hours but less than 20,700 hours of continuous service shall receive 8% vacation pay. A part-time employee who has completed 22,425 hours but less than 36,225 hours of continuous service shall receive 10% vacation pay. Effective September 29, 2012, a part-time employee who has completed 20,700 hours but less than 34,500 hours of continuous service shall receive 10% vacation pay. A part-time employee who has completed 36,225 hours but less than 48,300 hours of continuous service or more shall receive 12% vacation pay. Effective September 29, 2012, a part-time employee who has completed 34,500 hours but less than 48,300 hours of continuous service or more shall receive 12% vacation pay. A part-time employee who has completed 48,300 hours of continuous service or more shall receive 14% vacation pay.
Part-Time Entitlement, Qualifiers and Calculation of Payment. For the purpose of calculating vacation pay, the vacation year shall be from May of the previous year to April of the current year. Employees shall receive no later than May as vacation pay, a percent of their earnings during the previous vacation year as prescribed in the following vacation schedule. An employee who has worked less than hours of continuous service as of April of the year shall receive as vacation pay four percent of his earnings during the previous vacation year. An employee who has been continuously employed and has worked hours but less than hours as of April of the year shall receive as vacation pay four percent of his earnings during the previous vacation year. An employee who has been continuously employed and has worked hours but less than hours as of April of the year shall receive as vacation pay six percent of his earnings during the previous vacation year. An employee who has been continuously employed and has worked hours but less than hours as of April of the year shall receive as vacation pay eight percent of his earnings during the previous vacation year. An employee who has worked or more continuous hours as of April of the year shall receive as vacation pay ten percent of his earnings during the previous vacation year. Effective October part-time employees including casual employees shall accumulate service for the purpose of progression on the vacation scale, on the basis of one year for each hours worked. Notwithstanding the above, employees hired prior to October will be credited with the service they held for the purpose of progres- sion on the vacation scale under the Agreement expiring September and will thereafter accumulate service in accordance with this Article. For purpose of calculating vacation pay, the following formulas will apply: A regular part-time employee who has worked less than hours will receive four percent (4%) of his gross applicable earnings in a calendar year. A regular part-time employee who has worked hours or more will receive six percent (6%) of his gross applicable earnings in a calendar year. Casual part-time employees will be paid four percent (4%) of the gross applicable earnings in a calendar year. Regular part-time employees will be granted time off for vacation purposes at the discretion of the employee s Department Head and will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time. Notwithstanding the above, employees hired prior to October will be credited with the service they held for the purpose of progression on the vacation scale under the Agreement expiring September and will thereafter accumulate service accordance with this Article an employee who has commenced his scheduled vacation and agrees upon request by the Hospital to return to perform work during the vacation period, the employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times his basic straight time rate for all hours so worked.
