Preliminary Design Plans. Xxxxxx will develop preliminary (approximate 30%) plans that provides the Airport and FAA with the new alignment of the fence and drainage structures for review and approval before providing full design for the budgeted amount. Preliminary plans shall include the following, please note that additional sheets will be provided at later submittals: Cover Sheet General Construction Notes (FAA and City of Pueblo) Design Legend, Abbreviations and Sheet Index Project Quantities Sheet Project Site Plan Contractor Staging and Storage Area – including the airport access location and contractor’s haul route Survey Control Sheet (establishment of survey control) Construction Phasing and Barricade Plan Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Fence Line and Grading Plans (20 Sheets) Drainage Plans at Xxxxxx Crossings (12 Sheets) Drainage Structure Details (6 Sheets) Fence and Wildlife Gate Details (3 Sheets) Pedestrian and Vehicle Access Gate Details Geotechnical Boring Location Map Boring Logs (5 Sheets) Estimated Total Sheet Count for Preliminary Submittal = 57 Total sheets
Preliminary Design Plans. Once Garver receives written approval on the final PDR presented to the Owner at the PDR Review Meeting, Garver will begin developing 30% plans. The preliminary set of plans will include gravity interceptor, forcemain, lift station design. The preliminary design phase will represent approximately 30 percent of final construction contract plans. This submittal will not include technical specifications or “front end” contract documents. This task includes the following:
Preliminary Design Plans. CONSULTANT shall prepare preliminary design plans for the channel bank protection alternative which may include modular concrete block retaining walls or concrete riprap. Preliminary design plans will include a title sheet, demolition sheet, a project layout for proposed capital improvements, horizontal control sheet with proposed channel alignments, drainage area map, preliminary hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, preliminary plan and profile sheets for proposed channel improvements, conceptual channel wall cross sections, pavement repair/reclamation sheets and quantity sheets. Preliminary plans will be of sufficient detail for submission for franchise utility review. The requirements for preliminary plans will be in accordance with the City of Arlington Design Criteria Standards. An preliminary opinion of probable construction cost for proposed capital improvements will be submitted. The CONSULTANT will perform QA/QC of preliminary plans. A preliminary plans review meeting and project walkthrough with the OWNER will be conducted. Preliminary plans must be approved by OWNER prior to CONSULTANT commencing with the preparation of final design plans.
Preliminary Design Plans. 30% DESIGN
1. Based off coordination with West Xxxxxxx Borough, PennDOT and Stakeholders revise the preliminary design, as necessary.
2. Prepare the following Preliminary Plans in PennDOT HOP Plan format: o Title Sheet o Existing Conditions sheet o Construction Plans o Elevation and Drainage Plans o Signing and Pavement Marking Plans o Typical Sections and Roadway Construction Details
Preliminary Design Plans. A description of those areas ("Program Space") within the Club that are proposed to be developed as a Program Facility, which description will identify, without limitation, any area (i) to be used to provide Program Services, (ii) required for conducting administrative tasks (including office space) and (iii) which will be a shared or common space within the Club.
Preliminary Design Plans. The DISTRICT will complete preliminary design plans at the 30 percent design level including necessary information such as topography, land boundaries, and the location of utilities (both underground and aboveground). A recommended course of action for management of utilities will be provided. Estimates for pollutant load reductions (TSS, TN, TP, and metals) will be provided. A preliminary cost estimate will also be provided at this time. The DISTRICT will hold a design review meeting of the preliminary design phase and will provide a formal evaluation.
Preliminary Design Plans. After written authorization to proceed with the Preliminary Design Phase, the CONSULTANT shall:
3.1 On the basis of the data and information obtained under Item 2, or for any defined TASK ORDER, prepare preliminary engineering data including basis of design, sketches, drawings, maps, opinions of probable cost, time of completion and outline specifications to develop and establish the scope of the proposed construction.
3.2 Make a personal examination of the proposed Project site, and as may reasonably be discoverable, note site conditions and impediments that pertain to or might adversely affect the timely, efficient, and economical completion of any phase of the Project or the Project as a whole. The CONSULTANT shall promptly report any adverse site conditions to the CITY.
3.3 Prepare Preliminary Design documents consisting of final design criteria, preliminary drawings, outline specifications, and written descriptions of the Project.
3.4 At a minimum, provide the CITY with a 50% and 90% complete document(s) for preliminary review during the development and submission of the Preliminary Design Phase report. In addition, CONSULTANT will meet with the CITY to discuss preliminary submittal reviews by the CITY.
3.5 Provide services to investigate existing conditions of facilities or to verify the accuracy of drawings or other information furnished by the CITY or others to the CONSULTANT. Such verification services shall be set forth in the applicable TASK ORDER.
3.6 Advise the CITY if additional data or services are necessary for preliminary design and assist the CITY in obtaining such data and services.
3.7 Based on the information contained in the preliminary design documents, submit a revised Total Project Cost estimate to the CITY.
3.8 Make on-site field investigations as necessary to become familiar with the conditions affecting the TASK ORDER.
3.9 Furnish three (3) printed copies and one (1) electronic copy in latest AutoCAD version, if requested, of the Preliminary Design Documents.
3.10 Assist the CITY in obtaining preliminary approval of the proposed work from any Local, State or Federal Agency having jurisdiction over the TASK ORDER.
Preliminary Design Plans. After written authorization to proceed with the Preliminary Design Phase, the CONSULTANT shall:
Preliminary Design Plans. Engineer shall submit preliminary design plans for review and approval by the City. Preliminary plans must be approved by the City prior to Engineer commencing with the preparation of final design construction plans. Engineer shall prepare preliminary design plans at a horizontal scale of 1"=20' and a vertical scale of 1"=5' (horizontal scale of 1"=40' and a vertical scale of 1"=4' may be used with prior permission by the City) on 22" x 34" sheets. Preliminary design plans shall include the following:
1. Standard City title page with location map and revision block in the lower right corner showing date of revision, description of revision and initials of the revisor.
2. Preliminary plan and profile sheets of water and/or sanitary sewer improvements incorporating existing improvements as outlined in Sections III.A. and III.D. (A breakdown of the pay quantities shall be indicated for each plan and profile sheet. The breakdown may be shown on a summary of quantities sheet or may be indicated on the individual plan profile sheets.)
3. Preliminary detail and standard sheets.
4. A preliminary opinion of probable cost of the project.
5. All plans, documents, provisions, specifications, attachments and correspondence that leave Engineer’s office shall be dated.
6. Street addresses and legal description.
