Professional Relations Committee a. There shall be a standing committee comprised of five representatives of district leadership and five member representatives of the GVTA appointed by the GVTA executive.
b. The committee shall meet monthly during the school year unless mutually agreed by the superintendent and the GVTA president.
c. The purpose of the committee shall be to promote mutual understanding, discussion and collaborative resolution of contract-related and professional concerns of a general nature including those which may potentially lead to grievances and to provide advice.
d. The responsibility for chairing and agenda setting shall be shared.
e. The functioning of this committee shall not prejudice the operation of the collective agreement, including the grievance procedure.
Professional Relations Committee. The Board and the TEA will establish a committee of not to exceed six members, three from each party, which will meet on a regular basis during the school year to discuss and study matters of mutual interest concerning the Xxxx School District which fall within the provisions of this contract and/or other matters of mutual concern. The purpose of these meetings shall be to provide a means whereby:
A. The items of concern to the TEA may be brought to the attention of the Board representatives for consideration.
B. The items of concern to the Board may be brought to the attention of the TEA representatives for consideration.
C. A high level of mutual understanding may be maintained.
D. To clarify and/or assist in interpreting the language of the contract. The operating procedures and meeting times for discussions of the committee shall be determined by the committee. However, the committee shall not meet while negotiations for a successor collective bargaining agreement are in progress except to complete a project.
Professional Relations Committee. 1. The Professional Relations Committee shall consist of four (4) representatives of the employer and four (4) representatives of the Association.
2. The mandate of the committee includes the following:
a. Promoting better relations and communications between the employer and members of the Association.
b. Investigating and analyzing suggestions regarding district-wide issues brought by the Association and the employer through their representatives.
c. Seeking clarification on practices within the district.
d. Identifying practices and initiatives to improve pro-active communication and problem solving within the district.
e. Making recommendations to the district regarding district wide issues.
3. The committee shall be jointly chaired by the Association and the employer. This committee shall meet a minimum of three (3) times per school year and minutes from each meeting shall be circulated to all schools. Meetings may be cancelled or additional meetings may be called as mutually agreed.
4. Co-chairs will develop the agenda for each meeting and shall circulate the agenda to committee members one (1) week prior to the meeting date.
Professional Relations Committee. The Executive Committee of the Association shall meet with the Superintendent and such administrators as the Superintendent selects, normally once a month, unless it is mutually agreed to extend this period of time, to review and discuss current school problems and practices. These meetings shall in no way disrupt the educational program. Matters that pertain to grievances or negotiations shall not be subject of these meetings. Individual school Administrators shall meet with the Association representative from that individual school building, normally once a month, unless it is mutually agreed to extend this period of time. The Association and the Principal shall agree on a calendar of meetings. These meetings shall in no way disrupt the educational program. Matters that pertain to grievances or negotiations shall not be discussed at these meetings. The Association representatives and the Administration representatives shall not number more than three (3) each.
Professional Relations Committee. 61 - ARTICLE 21. OTHER PROVISIONS . - 63 -
Professional Relations Committee. The Board of Education and AFSA will establish a Continuing Collaboration Committee not to exceed four (4) members, two (2) from Central Administration and two (2) from AFSA. The committee will meet within ten (10) business days of a request by either party or by mutual agreement of the co-chairpersons. The purpose of this committee is to discuss and study matters of concern to either party, in a collaborative environment of mutual respect, in an effort to arrive at solution or mutually agreeable positions. The committee shall be co-chaired by a member of AFSA and Central Administration. The co- chairpersons shall have the sole authority to convene meetings, set the agenda and invite additional persons to a meeting.
Professional Relations Committee. A Professional Relations Committee shall be established which shall consist of the President of the Association plus six (6) members which the Association President shall appoint, and the Superintendent and six (6) members which the Superintendent shall appoint. This Committee may meet at mutually agreeable times once per month to discuss all matters of professional relations and teaching interests which are not covered by this Agreement. Topics which this Committee may discuss include but are not limited to: teacher facilities, teacher administrative liaison, teaching techniques, curriculum, testing, etc.; determination of textbooks and the discussion of other materials and supplies, sabbatical leave policy and recruitment. Minutes of each meeting may be taken by a member of the Committee and transmitted to the Board of Education. Any jointly agreed upon recommendations will be transmitted by the Committee to the Board and the Board will give serious consideration to such recommendations. In addition, at each school a Professional Relations Subcommittee shall be established to consist of the Principal and such staff as he/she may wish to add, plus four (4) delegates designated by the Association. Individual school committees shall discuss any matter of professional interest pertaining only to that school and may make recommendations to the Superintendent and the District Professional Relations Committee where appropriate.
Professional Relations Committee. Section A: Purpose. It is the objective of the parties:
1. To improve the communications between the Board and the teachers, and
2. To provide for appropriate participation by teachers in the development of recommendations for the consideration of the Board in all areas in which the teachers have a professional responsibility. There is therefore established an advisory committee to be known as the “Professional Relations Committee.”
Professional Relations Committee. A Professional Relations Committee (PRC) shall be composed of three (3) representatives from the Administration and three (3) representatives from the Union. The purpose of this Committee is to provide a method of communication and recommendation regarding matters of mutual concern and interest with respect to library practice, professional development, technological changes and the effects of management decisions on the bargaining unit. Generally, the Professional Relations Committee will meet bi-monthly or as requested by either party for approximately one hour during regular library hours and members scheduled to work at that time shall receive release time.
Professional Relations Committee. A Professional Relations Committee shall be established and shall meet at mutually scheduled times. The purpose of the Committee shall be to allow the Association to bring concerns to the attention of the administration and to attempt to resolve those concerns.
