Requests for Reassignment. 107. In Departments with no shift/assignment bid, employees may request consideration for reassignment to a vacant permanent position. Vacant permanent positions shall be posted for a minimum of five (5) days.
Requests for Reassignment a. An employee may request, in writing, permanent or temporary reassignment to a different position or a different supervisor at any time.
b. When the request is due to conflict with his or her work supervisor and the employee has tried to resolve the conflict, the employee may request the assistance of higher level Management.
c. Management will consider the request and will respond in writing, stating the reasons for the decision, within 28 days.
Requests for Reassignment. Prior to June 1, (for Fall Term), November 1, (for Spring Term and May 1, (for Summer Term), a unit member may request a change in work site. Unit members who wish to apply for a change in work site shall submit a written request to the appropriate Vice President specifying the worksite and assignment desired. The Vice President shall acknowledge the request in writing. Requests will be retained and considered by the receiving administrator for the current academic year. Unit members who have requested reassignment shall be notified of open assignments.
Requests for Reassignment. Employees covered by this MOU shall be given preference for reassignment within the facility based on seniority, overall performance and ability.
Requests for Reassignment. A. Teachers who desire reassignment to another school, grade or subject must send a written request directly to the Assistant Superintendent with a copy to the building Principal and their immediate supervisor stating their desire for reassignment and indicating where they wish to be reassigned. This written request should include the particular qualifications of the teacher for the requested assignment.
B. If a vacancy occurs in a position in the area of reassignment indicated by the teacher, the teacher shall be given consideration as an applicant for the position in accordance with the selection procedures in Article 15.
C. If the reassignment request is not granted, and the teacher requests it, the principal will meet with the teacher prior to making the assignment to discuss the reasons why the change could not be accommodated.
Requests for Reassignment. Non-probationary employees who have more than six (6) months of service shall have the opportunity to file a written request for reassignment with the supervisor. As vacancies occur, such employees who have submitted requests relevant to a vacancy and who are qualified to perform the duties required in the position will be interviewed. If three (3) or more employees have requested and are qualified for the reassignment, selection shall be made from these employees. If fewer than three (3) employees have requested and are qualified for the reassignment, the COUNTY shall consider the employees requesting reassignment but may elect to post the position for employment applications.
Requests for Reassignment a. Officers or Sergeants requesting a team reassignment for reasons of hardships during their scheduled shift bidding year shall submit their request to the Chief and/or their designee. The request will be considered in accordance of Article 14(I) of the Agreement.

(a) Permanent employees who wish to be reassigned to another assignment via an employee initiated lateral transfer shall submit their request on a specific form designated for that purpose to his/her permanent manager with a copy to the Chief Xxxxxxx of the Union and the Human Resources Department. Employees may modify their request at any time by giving notice to the Human Resources Department, the current manager, and the Union on the specified form. A current and updated copy of the Transfer Request List shall be maintained by the Employer.
(b) A "lateral transfer" means an assignment of duties in the same Job Classification and Position title in a different work unit.
(c) When an employee is promoted, transferred, reassigned, or granted an approved leave of absence for greater than twelve (12) months or, terminates employment and a need exists, the Employer shall use the Transfer Request List to determine if any employees have requested a lateral transfer to that particular unit.
(d) If more than one employee has requested a lateral transfer to a particular unit, subject to Article 11.15 (h), the Employer shall select the employee on the Transfer Request List with greatest length of seniority.
(e) Employees normally shall not be eligible to request a further lateral transfer unless they have worked at least twelve (12) months in their current assignment due to a previous transfer.
(f) The Employer shall use the Transfer Request List and the transfer process to fill all vacant positions which result from the first lateral transfer. The transfer process shall be repeated until no employees remain on the Transfer Request List.
(g) At that point, if a position or assignment is still unfilled, the Employer shall post a vacancy pursuant to Article 11 of the Collective Agreement. The job posting shall indicate the work assignment and its work location. Positions shall not be posted until the lateral transfer process and list has been completed. DRAFT
(h) If the Employer does not select the most senior person from the Transfer Request List for the assignment, the Employer shall inform the employee of the reasons for its decision in writing. The employee will maintain his or her position on the Transfer Request List.
