SALARIES AND RELATED COMPENSATION. Salaries and related compensation shall be covered in the master contract. The master contract shall be an attachment to the Professional Agreement.
SALARIES AND RELATED COMPENSATION. A. SALARY For the term of this agreement, the basic rate of pay for each day worked by a substitute teacher shall be the rate established by the State of Oregon Department of Education pursuant to ORS 342.610 (1). The basic rate of pay for each day worked by a substitute who receives the district monthly insurance contribution shall be the daily rate set by Oregon law for substitute teachers in lieu of the above higher daily rates.
B. ASSIGNMENTS
1. Half-day assignments shall be four (4) hours in length. Substitute teachers on half-day assignment will be paid one-half the daily rate provided in Article VI (A) for each day worked. Any assignment longer than four (4) hours will be considered a regular work day, and the substitute teacher shall work an eight (8) hour day including a thirty (30) minute duty free lunch. However, the substitute will not be required to work beyond the building work day ending time established for regular teachers. A substitute who is requested by the Human Resources Director and who reports for duty shallbe considered on not less than half-day assignment. A substitute teacher dispatched to a half-day assignment that begins after the start of the building student contact day shall be allowed at least 15 minutes of time before being directly responsible forstudents.
2. When a substitute is required to do lesson planning and/or grade papers as part of their assignment for a teacher, the substitute is to follow the teacher’s schedule. In assignments not requiring these duties, the substitute may be assigned additional professional tasks.
SALARIES AND RELATED COMPENSATION. 4.1.1 The 2010-11 professional salary plan shall be as in Appendix A. The 2009-10 salary schedule shall be increased by one percent (1%) effective July 1, 2010. The 2011-12 professional salary plan shall be as in Appendix A-1, and will reflect a reduction of 0.9%, and a 188 day contract year.

The 2013-14 salary schedule shall be increased by 0.5 percent (0.5%) effective on July 1, 2014. The 2015-16 salary The 2014-15 salary schedule shall be increased by one and one-tenth percent (1.1%) effective July 1, 2015. The 2015-16 salary schedule shall be increased by one and three-tenths percent (1.3%) effective July 1, 2016. The 2017-18 salary schedule shall be increased by one percent (1%). The 2018-19 salary schedule shall be increased by one percent (1%). The 2019-20 salary schedule shall be increased by one percent (1%). The salary plans will be adjusted for the work year as per Article 10.2.

4.1.1. The 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-20 professional salary plans
4.1.2. The amount of each horizontal and vertical step on the professional salary plan shall be three and seven-tenths percent (3.7%) greater than the immediately preceding step.
4.1.3. Step 16, only for columns MA+45 and MA+90, is three percent (3%) greater than the preceding step. Step 16, only for the first five columns, and Step 17 for the last two columns, is two and three quarters percent (2.75%) over the prior step.
4.1.4. New Top Step. Effective July 1, 2014, a new top step will be added to each column on the salary plan, which will be an increase of two and three-quarters percent (2.75%) over the prior step over the term of the contract as follows: one percent (1%) in 2014-15, one percent (1%) in 2015-16, and three-quarters of one percent (.75%) in 2016-17.
SALARIES AND RELATED COMPENSATION. 4.1 PROFESSIONAL SALARY PLAN: The professional salary plan for all unit members, except as herein provided, shall be as described below.

SALARIES AND RELATED COMPENSATION. A. For all unit members, with the exception of bus drivers: Employees shall be eligible for salary increases and performance awards of five hundred fifty dollars ($550) for employees whose performance is deemed exceptional. The granting of performance awards is decided by the Principal or Director of Facilities and Assistant Superintendent/School Business Official for the custodians and custodial workers. The performance award will be added to base salary. All evaluations shall be completed by the end of the school year, but any performance awards shall be retroactive to July 1st.
B. For all unit members, with the exception of bus drivers: For those employees whose performance is deemed to be less than satisfactory, they will remain at their current salary at the end of the contract year for six months. Reasons for such a freeze will be given in writing by the Building Principal or Director of Facilities. After six months, if the Building Principal or Director of Facilities and the Assistant Superintendent/School Business Official have evaluated the performance of said employee and found it to be satisfactory, the salary increase for said year will be awarded, prorated and divided equally among the remaining six months.
C. All unit members will be evaluated. The Building Principal or designee will evaluate the custodial staff and the Director of Facilities or School Business Official will evaluate the groundsmen and maintenance worker annually. The Transportation Supervisor or School Business Official will evaluate bus drivers. The current instrument will remain in use until further notified by administration. Such instrument will be used to substantiate worker performance. The District agrees not to assign unit members the responsibility of filing or handling employee evaluations and/or personnel files.
D. For all unit members: Employees completing six (6) months of service may be eligible for a salary increase, based upon satisfactory performance, the recommendation of their immediate supervisor, and District approval.
E. For all unit members, with the exception of bus drivers: Ten (10) month full time employees shall receive ten-twelfth (10/12 ths) of the corresponding regular twelve (12) month salary.
