Know what your student is doing with technology. Technology can be a great tool and resource, but also has the potential to be a big distractor. Help your student learn to focus on completing tasks or assignments prior to engaging in other Internet activities. Screen Time. Children will not be allowed to use computers, smartphones, or tablets while in our care. Our Behavior Agreement provides a framework for creating a safe and respectful environment in which the children are assisted in helping to understand the consequences of their actions when the Social Agreement guidelines are not followed. The agreement will be implemented when repeated unacceptable behavior is displayed with the intention to assist the child in making better choices or if safety concerns arise with the same child. Unacceptable behaviors that would be addressed through the Behavior Agreement: • Deliberate physical aggression or verbal disrespect directed at a child or adult. • Deliberate disobedience or defiance towards a staff member’s request. • Deliberate damage to the facility and/or equipment. • Leaving the program without permission. • Taking part in an unsafe act or endangering others. If a child is showing any behaviors indicated above, our Behavior Agreement policy will be: • Verbal Warning: Staff will speak with the child about our Social Agreement and what the next step will be if the behavior is repeated. • The parent will be informed about the incident and what their child’s role was in it. If the Centre Manager decides to implement the BA form, they will review it with the child and the parent at pick-up time. The parent will be asked to sign the form each time an incident is documented. • The signed copy will be kept in your child’s file.

The District expectation is that screen time in the classroom should be limited to instructionally relevant use only, and that instructional time should be focused on maximizing student learning including a mixture of face-to-face discussion and hands-on activities. Screen Time. Here at Genesis Family Child Care It is our intent to provide your child with many opportunities to investigate the world around them with concrete, hands-on learning activities while in care. While screen time can be fun and engaging , we feel that TV and digital media time should be limited to no more than 30 minutes per week while in care for ages 2 years and older . We feel young children learn best with hands-on activities using all their senses throughout their day. If you have a little one under the age of 2 years old, alternative activities will be given such as tummy time , story time, movement or more will be provided . All screen time will be listed on the weekly lesson plan . All of the media that is being used in the daycare is to enhance the child’s learning environment and will remain commercial and ad free. Media will not be provided during rest time or meal times . We are more than happy to help with potty learning provided the parents initiate the process at home first, whether it is over a weekend or during vacation. We expect parents to work with me in this process which means once potty learning is initiated we want the child in training pants or pull-ups at all times. Putting a child in a diaper for your convenience because you are going out or for whatever reason will only confuse the child and delay the learning process. We require that all potty learning children wear clothing that they can handle successfully on their own. Elastic pants are the most appropriate. Parents will be asked to supply extra sets of spare clothing during the training period.
Screen Time. As a Parks & Recreation Department, we prioritize outdoor time and active play when offering activities to program participants. In the event of unusual circumstances such as extended periods of inclement weather, “screen time” activities such as movies or computer lab time may be offered. All movies shown will be rated G or PG only and will be reviewed by a staff member beforehand.   • Crib Time (i) When an Employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, he/she shall be allowed to take, without deduction of pay, a crib time of twenty minutes in duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work, he/she shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes in duration. (ii) In the event of an Employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of twenty minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked twenty minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly.

  • Flex Time Upon agreement of the supervisor's immediate supervisor, an individual flex-time schedule may be established.

  • Break Time For daily work assignments of six or more hours, permanent and probationary employees (except bus drivers and bus aides) shall be entitled to one 15-minute break for each half of the work assignment. For work assignments of less than six hours, such employees shall be entitled to one 15-minute break. Employees who spend a majority of the workday working with a Video Display Terminal (VDT) shall be permitted to perform other job-related duties (i.e., work not involving use of a VDT) 10 continuous minutes out of each hour. Such time shall not be cumulative and shall be in addition to break time established above.

  • Central Time After all Parties have been notified, the provisions of paragraphs (b) and (c) of this Section 2.1 shall apply.”

  • Show Up Time An employee who reports to work in the usual manner without having been notified that there is no work available and is sent home because of lack of work before having worked four (4) hours shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay at their prevailing hourly rate. The employee shall also receive their full accommodation allowance if and when applicable. Each employee must inform the Employer of a means of being contacted on short notice. If an attempt is made by the Employer at least two (2) hours before the employee’s shift commences by way of the contact information provided, in an effort to inform the employee of a lack of work, and the Employer is unable to do so, the employee will not be entitled to show up time.

  • Pacific Time If enabled by Platform, the Same Day ACH means that the transfer will be performed within one (1) business day. Any same day ACH transfer scheduled after the cut-off time will be treated as if it were scheduled as next day ACH transfer. In some circumstances, transactions may be delayed for risk or compliance reasons.

  • Eastern Time Upon receipt of Instructions, and upon your determination that there are good funds with respect to Instructions involving the purchase of shares, you will calculate the net purchase or redemption order for each Portfolio.

  • Work Time Work time is defined as all hours actually spent in pay status including travel time required by and at the direction of the Employer before, during or after the regularly-assigned workday.

  • Boxing Day If another Federal, Provincial or Municipal holiday should be proclaimed during the term of this Agreement, such additional proclaimed holiday will replace one of the above-named holidays as agreed by the parties. The intent is that there will be no more than twelve (12) paid holidays per calendar year for the duration of this agreement.

  • Banked Time The implementation of these provisions shall not be considered to be a layoff. 8.
