- SENIORITY, LAYOFF AND PROMOTIONS. 13.01 Seniority of employees shall be recognized because the parties agree that job opportunity should increase in proportion to length of continuous service. New employees shall be placed on a full-time or part-time seniority list, as applicable, upon completion of their probationary period and their seniority shall be dated back to the date of their most recent hiring.
- SENIORITY, LAYOFF AND PROMOTIONS. 10.01 The parties agree that rules respecting seniority and work opportunities are necessary in recognition of the principle that job opportunity and security should increase in proportion to length of continuous service. In order to promote awareness of work opportunities that may arise in the various components, the Employer will circulate a Memo for Posting on a periodic basis and/or whenever such work opportunities exist.
- SENIORITY, LAYOFF AND PROMOTIONS. 11.01 Seniority is defined as a driver's length of service in the bargaining unit and shall be applied on a division/branch basis. New drivers shall be placed on the seniority list at the end of their probationary period and their respective seniority shall be dated back to the date of beginning of employment. Other things being equal, seniority shall be applied in determining preference for job postings, promotions, shifts and preferred hours, transfers, demotions, layoffs, recall, vacation and as set out in other provisions of this Agreement.
- SENIORITY, LAYOFF AND PROMOTIONS. SECTION 1 - Seniority - Seniority shall mean the amount of seniority accumulated by the employee as a regular employee of the school district, whether outside or within the bargaining unit. Unit seniority shall mean the amount of seniority accumulated by the employee within the bargaining unit. For employees hired on the same date, the employee's birth date will determine seniority with the oldest being senior.
- SENIORITY, LAYOFF AND PROMOTIONS. 10.01 a) Full-time employees shall accumulate seniority at a rate of forty-hours (40) per week for each week worked in a full-time position, regardless of actual hours worked. When a full-time employee is absent from work due to vacation, pre-approved leave of absence, Worker's Compensation due to an injury suffered when working for the Employer, short-term disability, long-term disability, sick leave of less than eight (8) days, maternity or parental leave, the employee will continue to accumulate seniority at the above rate for the weeks of absence.

New employees shall be placed on the seniority list at the end of three (3) months worked probation- ary period and their respective seniority shall be dated back to the date of the beginning of employment.

- SENIORITY, LAYOFF AND PROMOTIONS a) Seniority shall be defined as length of service with the Employer Tank Lines Valley Transport and Transport since the last date of hire. Seniority of employees shall be recognized within the respective job classifications that the employee holds. New employees shall be placed on the seniority list at the end of the probationary period, and their respective seniority shall be backdated to the beginning of employment. Part-timers will have a separate seniority list, and if posting into a position, will be placed at the bottom of the full-time seniority list. Such placement at the bottom of the full-time seniority list shall not negatively affect the employee’s rate of pay. Part-time drivers will not be eligible for or the Health Care Benefits provided for in the Collective Agreement. The Employer shall maintain separate seniority lists for the Valley and the Xxxxxxxxx locations. For the Valley operation there shall be separate seniority lists for the milk-run, the run, and general freight including tanks. The seniority lists shall be dovetailed only for the purpose of avoiding lay-off as per Article and filling positions as per Article The Employer shall maintain up to date seniority lists. A copy of such a list will be provided to the Union in order for it to ascertain the seniority status of an employee within its jurisdiction. Seniority rights shall cease for an employee who:
