Preferred Hours Sample Clauses

Preferred Hours a) The hours of work are determined by the employer in consultation with individual employees taking into account the personal, study or family commitments of individual employees. b) If the employee has a genuine preference to work hours that suit his or her personal, study and/or family circumstances, the employee shall initiate his or her choice by completing the Preferred Hours of Work Request form (see Schedule 2). If a written request to work preferred hours of work is made, the nominated hours will constitute ordinary hours of work for which the Employee will be paid at his or her ordinary hourly rate of pay (as per Column B in Schedule 1).
Preferred HoursThe employer will have regard to the impact of working hours on the personal circumstances, study requirements and family requirements of employees when arranging the roster. Where an employee makes a request to regular work at preferred times that are suited to the employee, that have neither been arranged or requested by the employer, the employer may agree to offer such preferred hours of work. In order for preferred hours to be worked: i. The employee must initiate the request for the preferred hours in writing to the employer for the employer’s consideration; and ii. The employer must agree to the employee working their preferred hours. If the employer accepts the employee’s request for preferred hours of work, the employer may pay the employee for such preferred hours at the ordinary hourly rate. If at any time the employee seeks to revert from their preferred hours to the standard hours in this Agreement then the employee should advise the employer in writing of the requested change. An employee may work their preferred hours without receiving penalty payments up to a maximum of 38 hours per week averaged over a 4 week cycle. Hours in excess of 38 hours per week will be subject to overtime (Clause 4.5) in this Agreement.

Employees who choose to work voluntary additional hours shall initiate his or her choice by completing the Preferred Hours of Work Request Form (see Schedule 2). If a written request to work preferred hours of work is made, the nominated hours will constitute ordinary hours of work for which the Employee will be paid at his or her ordinary hourly rate of pay in Schedule 1.
Preferred HoursThis Agreement offers Employees a choice to work Preferred Hours.
Preferred HoursWhere an employee seeks, in writing, to work hours other than ordinary hours and the employer agrees, then payment will be at ordinary time rates of pay. Provided that both parties can elect to revert to their usual arrangements at any time.
Preferred Hours. (a) This clause does not apply to casual or junior employees. (b) An employee may genuinely prefer to work on Saturday, Sunday, public holidays, overtime, or between 12 midnight and 6am (Monday to Saturday, inclusive) (“Preferred Hours”) due to their personal circumstance. (c) An employee may voluntarily request to work Preferred Hours and be paid an appropriate minimum rate provided that: (i) the Employer agrees to the request; and (ii) both the employee and the Employer complete a Preferred Hours Consent Form. This form is referred to as Attachment 1 in this Agreement.
Preferred Hours a) The hours of work are determined by the employer in consultation with individual employees taking into account the operational requirements of the business and the personal, study or family commitments of individual employees. b) The employee has the opportunity to specify the times at which he or she choose to work his or her ordinary daily and /or weekly hours and he or she can also work additional hours when available. c) If the employee has a genuine preference to work hours that suit his or her personal, study and/or family circumstances, the employee shall indicate his or her choice by completing the Preferred Hours of Work Request form (see Schedule 2). If a written request to work preferred hours of work is made, the nominated hours will constitute ordinary hours of work for which the Employee will be paid at his or her ordinary hourly rate of pay (as per Column A in Schedule 1). d) The employee may choose not to define his or her preferred hours of work. If this is the case his or her standard ordinary hours will be worked within the span of 1.00pm to 7.00pm Monday to Friday, and he or she will be paid at the rate prescribed in Column B in Schedule 1.
Preferred HoursWhere an employee advises that he/she prefers hours of work that are outside the span of ordinary hours prescribed in clause 6.1 and the employer agrees, then the applicable rate of pay is equivalent to the ordinary time rates of pay. Provided that the employee can revert that preference during the life of the agreement and work within the ordinary span of hours.

Preferred HoursEmployees may chose to work preferred hours or voluntary additional hours at any time or day of the week to suit their circumstances; this means ordinary hours may be worked on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays and paid at the ordinary rate of pay. Employees who elect to work preferred hours must have two consecutive days off in any one work week. Employees who do not elect to work preferred hours and who are required to work on a Saturday, Sunday or Public holiday will be paid the penalty rates described in Clause 8. Casual employees may be engaged for work on an hourly basis, at any time or any day of the week. The minimum period of engagement for casual employees shall be two hours on any day.
