Sleep Time. In recognition that staff may be too fatigued to resume their normal shift after spending a significant number of hours on campus during their on ‐ call period, the following will apply.

Sleep Time. (a) Any maintenance employee called in during the eight (8) hours immediately preceding his regular day shift shall receive time off at straight time to the extent of all actual time worked during that period of time, providing he is scheduled to work the regular day shift the following day. (b) Such time will be used to defer the regular starting time or to advance the regular quitting time.
Sleep Time. A. On-call employees who are mandated by management to be on-call for a shift immediately preceding their regularly scheduled work day may be entitled to paid sleep time in the following manner: Employees who work four (4) continuous hours or more anytime within the eight (8) hour window preceding the start of their shift shall be granted paid sleep time equal to the hours worked. At the employee’s option, the employee may leave early or come in late equal to the hours worked prior to their schedule shift. The timing of the hours off can be changed by mutual agreement of the Employee and the Employer. Employees who work four (4) or more hours preceding the next contiguous shift may be entitled to a full sleep day when opting to use their own PTO time. B. If on-call employees need a room to sleep, they should notify the Nursing Supervisor and the supervisor shall assign an available room for example: Rooms on Xxxxxxxx 5 East are the best option for nights and weekends.
Sleep Time. An employee must accumulate 16 hours work in a 24-hour period to be eligible for any sleep time. Once 16 hours in a 24-hour period has been accumulated, sleep time will be granted hour for hour for any hours worked between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. to a maximum of 8 hours to be taken on Monday.
Sleep Time. An employee shall be approved for sleep time under the circumstances outlined below and shall be paid at straight time for any hours that coincide with the employee’s regular scheduled shift. Sleep Time. Employees called back during the 10pm-7am shift and scheduled to work the immediate following day shall receive Sleep Time hours equal to actual hours worked, paid at straight time rate. These hours must be taken during the day immediately following the call back time worked. The sleep hours may be taken at either the beginning or the end of the scheduled shift as determined by mutual agreement between the employee and the manager.
Sleep Time. Sleep time of up to eight (8) hours shall be offered to employees required to take on call. The Hospital shall endeavor to find suitable sleeping arrangements for a nurse who is on call. Notwithstanding the above, management reserves the right to require the nurse to start their next shift as scheduled, provided that the nurse has a reasonable belief that such request allows him/her to work in a safe fashion.

The four (4) hours will start counting from the time the employee stops or from the time the employee ceases to be paid as described in Article (Call-out).
Sleep Time. An employee is eligible for sleep time when overtime is worked within eight (8) hours prior to his regular shift. Sleep time is equal paid time off for overtime actually worked, including travel time. A minimum of two (2) hours’ sleep time applies if overtime commences during the eight (8) hours prior to his regular shift. Sleep time is scheduled at the beginning or at a mutually agreed upon time during the employee’s regular shift. If the employee is requested to continue work or is called back during sleep time, he shall be paid the sleep time as additional straight time pay. (See Intents) An employee is not eligible for sleep time when the overtime commences within two (2) hours of the start of his regular shift.
Sleep Time. An employee who has been called in to the Mill between the hours of midnight and 8:00 a. m. or who has worked in the Mill on overtime beyond midnight and is scheduled to work the following day will have work starting time for that following day extended by the number of hours he worked in the midnight to 8:00 a.m. period. An employee may elect to take sleep hours earned from either end of the qualifying shift. Tour Workers working within eight (8) hours previous to their scheduled shift shall receive sleep time for each hour worked. (Night shift between 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Day shift 9:30 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.) The employee so affected will receive his regular straight time rate for the period by which his normal starting time has been extended or his quitting time has been retarded. This clause excludes any time worked on an exchange basis, or on the wire crew.
