Specialty Teams. The Employer retains the discretion to determine the need for specialty teams and the staffing of said teams.
Specialty Teams. Specialists on the Tactical, Underwater Recovery, Crisis Negotiation and Bomb teams who are subject to emergency call out will receive a $500.00 annual payment. Commanders and Assistant Commanders on the Tactical, Underwater Recovery, Crisis Negotiation and Bomb teams who are subject to emergency call out will receive a $750.00 annual payment. Members receiving this payment who are covered by the FLSA will have any stipend paid on an hourly basis rather than annually or semi-annually. Members who are exempt from the FLSA will receive this payment on a semi-annual basis, with half paid in January and half paid in July to eligible employees on the payroll at the time of the payment.
Specialty Teams. Any CPF employee who is trained by an accredited agency and a member of a specialty training group shall be covered by workers’ compensation or by the City when in training or deployed during an emergency call.
Specialty Teams. A. Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team All Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team members employed by the City shall be required to follow the Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team’s attendance requirements. Team members that are on duty at the City shall be released from their regular assignments to attend Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team activities and incidents. Members that are off-duty shall be compensated according to the collective bargaining agreement for time spent responding to incidents and hazardous materials training (awareness, operation, technician, and command) as well as any other training or activities approved by County Hazmat Team Leaders. The number of ▇▇▇ Arbor Fire Department members on the County Hazmat Team shall not exceed 15 without permission from the Fire Chief.
Specialty Teams. Citizens requires Specialty Teams for certain types of claims. The purpose of a Specialty Team is to provide additional consistency and efficiency for such claims through a team of Adjusters who work exclusively on that particular type of claim. Vendor shall establish Specialty Teams of Adjusters as required by Citizens. As of the Effective Date, Citizens requires Specialty Teams as follows:
a. Non-weather water cause of loss: minimum of two (2) years of experience adjusting water claims for both the Desk Adjuster and Residential Field Adjuster.
b. Residential large loss: high severity loss, such as total or near total loss with structural damage (typically, severity levels 4 or 5). Specialty Teams. In recognition of the recruitment and initiation of specialty teams within the County the parties agree to the following;
Specialty Teams. The Fire Chief reserves the right to assign employees to specialty teams. Effective on January 1, 2025, any future availability of slots on specialty teams will be emailed to eligible employees for a ten (10) day posting, and employees may submit their interest for a specialized team. The specialty team slots will be filled based upon seniority of those that are interested with the exception that an employee cannot be on both the Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team and Technical Rescue Team. If an employee has been on the Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team or Technical Rescue Team for five (5) consecutive years, the employee is then eligible to join both of these teams. The Fire Chief may remove an employee from a specialty team for just cause.

Members that are off-duty shall be compensated according to the collective bargaining agreement for time spent responding to incidents and technical rescue training (awareness, operation and technician levels) as well as any other training or activities approved by the Training Officer.
C. Peer Support Team Peer Support Team members shall be required to follow the Peer Support Team’s attendance requirements. With approval of the Fire Chief, team members who are on duty at the City shall be released from their regular assignments to attend Peer Support Team activities and incidents. Specialty Teams. Effective October 1, 2016, Employees covered by this agreement will only be eligible for membership on one specialty team for which additional compensation is available unless approved by the Fire Chief. The teams are Hazardous Material Team (HazMat) or Technical Rescue/Special Operations. Specialty Team Members shall be paid $1,980 annually, paid at $165.00 per month. Specialty Team Commanders shall be paid $2,280 annually paid at $190.00 per month.
1. Hazardous Material Team: Employees covered by this agreement may voluntarily elect to participate on the HazMat Team by successfully completing an interview process for open positions and by meeting certain requirements to remain a member of the team as outlined below.

Specialty Teams. All team members must obtain and maintain Technician level training.
Specialty Teams. Any specialty team established from time to time by the Martha’s Vineyard Law Enforcement Council, Inc. to include but not limited to TRT and Drug Task Force.
