Specialty Teams. Specialists on the Tactical, Underwater Recovery, Crisis Negotiation and Bomb teams who are subject to emergency call out will receive a $500.00 annual payment. Commanders and Assistant Commanders on the Tactical, Underwater Recovery, Crisis Negotiation and Bomb teams who are subject to emergency call out will receive a $750.00 annual payment. Members receiving this payment who are covered by the FLSA will have any stipend paid on an hourly basis rather than annually or semi-annually. Members who are exempt from the FLSA will receive this payment on a semi-annual basis, with half paid in January and half paid in July to eligible employees on the payroll at the time of the payment.
Specialty Teams. Any CPF employee who is trained by an accredited agency and a member of a specialty training group shall be covered by workers’ compensation or by the City when in training or deployed during an emergency call.
Specialty Teams. Citizens requires Specialty Teams for certain types of claims. The purpose of a Specialty Team is to provide additional consistency and efficiency for such claims through a team of Adjusters who work exclusively on that particular type of claim. Vendor shall establish Specialty Teams of Adjusters as required by Citizens. As of the Effective Date, Citizens requires Specialty Teams as follows: a. Non-weather water cause of loss: minimum of two (2) years of experience adjusting water claims for both the Desk Adjuster and Residential Field Adjuster. b. Residential large loss: high severity loss, such as total or near total loss with structural damage (typically, severity levels 4 or 5). Minimum of two (2) years of adjusting experience for both the Desk Adjuster and Residential Field Adjuster.
Specialty Teams. A. Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team All Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team members employed by the City shall be required to follow the Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team’s attendance requirements. Team members that are on duty at the City shall be released from their regular assignments to attend Washtenaw County Hazardous Materials Team activities and incidents. Members that are off-duty shall be compensated according to the collective bargaining agreement for time spent responding to incidents and hazardous materials training (awareness, operation, technician, and command) as well as any other training or activities approved by County Hazmat Team Leaders. The number of Xxx Arbor Fire Department members on the County Hazmat Team shall not exceed 15 without permission from the Fire Chief.
Specialty Teams. All specialty teams shall be operated strictly in accordance with each program’s Standard Operating Guideline (SOG), in effect as of the date of this Agreement. An SOG relating to a specialty team shall not be changed except by mutual agreement between the Union and the City.

B Members of the specialty teams shall pursue membership on their respective Macomb County Teams and shall remain active members of the team throughout their commitment period of three (3) years. C To receive the stipend, each member will be required to participate in seventy-five (75%) percent of the scheduled training each year. The Chief of Training, in conjunction with each Team Leader shall ensure that each member complete all required paperwork, evaluations, etc D. The Team Leaders will be selected as outlined in the SOG and will be paid a stipend of 2 % of base pay, instead of 1.5%, for each day serving as team leader in the stipend year. There will be one Team leader for each of the two specialty teams. Their responsibilities will also be outlined in the SOG. E. There shall be quarterly training for each team, despite grant funding to cover training costs. No training for either team will result in the shutting down of fire companies. F. There will be one additional position (13th member) to one of the teams, which can be filled by a member of the Training Division, with the right of first refusal going to the Training Officer. If the Training Officer does not accept, it would then go to the others in the Division through seniority in the Division.

Specialty Teams. 30.01 Certified bargaining unit members assigned to the Hazardous Material Team, Technical Rescue Operations Team, Water-Rescue Dive Team, or the Tactical EMS (“TEMS”) Team shall have forty-eight (48) hours made available to them annually based on available funds and at the Fire Chief’s discretion. Those hours shall be scheduled outside the member's normal work schedule and shall be made available for the purpose of allowing the members to maintain the highest level of skill necessary to perform their assignment.
Specialty Teams. Effective October 1, 2016, Employees covered by this agreement will only be eligible for membership on one specialty team for which additional compensation is available unless approved by the Fire Chief. The teams are Hazardous Material Team (HazMat) or Technical Rescue/Special Operations. Specialty Team Members shall be paid $1,980 annually, paid at $165.00 per month. Specialty Team Commanders shall be paid $2,280 annually paid at $190.00 per month. 1. All staff (including the Battalion Chiefs) permanently assigned to the HAZMAT designated Stations 3 and 7 shall be required to complete State Hazmat Technician Training with State Certification and be on the Hazmat team. Each full-time team member shall receive $1,500 per year for his or her participation on the Hazmat Team. This amount shall be paid in addition to the Team Member’s current pay step plan annual salary amount, calculated as an hourly increase for all pay periods that the Team Member serves on the Hazmat Team. B. Six (6) qualified combat personnel will be chosen to be alternates on the HAZMAT Team, two per shift. Alternate HAZMAT Team members, shall be compensated $600.00 per year for their participation on the HAZMAT Team. This amount shall be paid in addition to the Team Member’s current pay step plan annual salary amount, calculated as an hourly increase for all pay periods that the Alternate Team Member serves on the HAZMAT Team. C. Qualified full-time USAR Team members (Minimum of Six (6) per shift) shall receive $1,500 per year for his or her participation on the USAR Team assigned to Station 2. In addition, there will be one (1) full-time USAR member assigned from the Training Captain rank. This amount shall be paid in addition to the Team Member’s current pay step plan annual salary amount, calculated as an hourly increase for all pay periods that the Team Member serves on the USAR Team. D. Three (3) qualified combat personnel will be chosen to be alternates on the USAR team, one per shift. Alternate USAR Team members shall be compensated $600.00 per year for their participation on the USAR Team. This amount shall be paid in addition to the Team Member’s current pay step plan annual salary amount, calculated as an hourly increase for all pay periods that the Team Member serves on the USAR Team. E. Qualified full-time ARFF team members (minimum of four (4) per shift) shall receive $1,500 per year for his or her participation on the ARFF team assigned to Station 14. This amount shall be paid in addition to the Team Member’s current pay step plan annual salary amount, calculated as an hourly increase for all pay periods that the Team Member serves on the ARFF team. F. Twelve (12) qualified combat personnel will be chosen to be alternatives on the ARFF Team, four (4) per shift.
