No New Employees New employees shall not be hired until those laid off have been given an opportunity of recall.
New Employees a) The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect and with the conditions of employment set out in the Articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-Off.
Replacement Employees (a) A replacement employee is an employee specifically engaged or temporarily promoted or transferred, as a result of an employee proceeding on parental leave.
Probation for Newly Hired Employees A newly hired employee shall be on probation for a period of six (6) months from the date of hiring. During the probationary period, the employee shall be entitled to all rights and benefits of this Agreement. After completion of the probationary period, seniority shall be effective from the original date of employment.
EMPLOYER AND UNION TO ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES (a) At the time of hire new employees will be advised that a collective agreement is in effect and of the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-off.
