TEACHER MENTORING PROGRAM. The Avoca Central School District and the Avoca Teachers’ Association agree to participate in a teacher mentoring program. The parties also agree to adapt the program, through future memorandums, to meet the State Education Department Requirements effective in February, 2004.

TEACHER MENTORING PROGRAM. The District and the Association agree to participate in a teacher mentoring program, in part, to fulfill the proposed NYS Education Department’s requirement to have such a program for a candidate for a professional certificate in the first year of employment, unless the unit member has formerly successfully completed two (2) years of teaching experience in which case a mentor will not be assigned. If at any time during the life of this Agreement the NYS Education Department abolishes or fails to implement this requirement under part 80.3.4 of the Commissioner’s Regulations, the provisions of the Agreement relating to this mentoring program shall be null and void.
TEACHER MENTORING PROGRAM. The Teacher Mentoring Program will assist newly employed teachers as they acquire the knowledge and skills appropriate to working in School District 201 and which are essential for the improvement of teaching and learning. Each initial certificated (Level I) teacher will participate in the Teacher Mentoring Program for a minimum of two years. Each Level I teacher will be partnered with a mentor for two (2) years. Each new teacher to the District with a Standard Certificate (Level II) will participate in the program for one year. The mentor teacher shall be chosen from volunteers by the Building Principal. The mentor teacher, insofar as possible, shall be a tenured teacher with a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience. Each mentor teacher shall receive a yearly stipend as stipulated in the extra duty schedule in Appendix B. Both, the mentor and the mentee shall participate in the activities outlined in the District Mentoring Program. No changes shall be made to the program without input from the WTA. Mentor teachers shall not be involved in the evaluation of the mentee.
TEACHER MENTORING PROGRAM. 1. The District will require all new probationary teachers to participate in an internship program during their first year of teaching. The internship model shall be developed by the Professional Development Team established pursuant to the Commissioner Regulations 100.2(dd), subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education. 2. There will be an annual district posting describing the number of mentor positions anticipated at each building in order to solicit the mentor candidates. Candidates at the building level will be interviewed and selected by the principal and the N.T.A. head delegate, subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education. A panel of teachers in each building adequate in number to meet the mentoring needs, as determined by the principal and the human resources office, will be trained to be mentors. Tenure status shall be a requirement for being a mentor. 3. Training of the mentors shall be completed by August 31st of each year. The training will be conducted under the auspices of the Newburgh Teacher Center. The District will provide the necessary funding for the training program. If N.T.A. unit members conduct the training, they shall be paid at the rate set forth at Appendix III, Schedule P of the N.T.A. Agreement for all hours of work. 4. The District and the N.T.A. will investigate and apply for resources to help support this program, including both state and private sources. Sources may include but are not limited to the NYS Mentor/Teacher Internship Program and the Workforce Development Grant Program.
TEACHER MENTORING PROGRAM. For all new teachers hired to the District, including part-time teachers, and for all non-tenured teachers except part-time teachers that have taught in the District for more than five (5) consecutive years, there is added, at no additional compensation, to the adopted school calendar, a requirement that said teachers attend an orientation workshop each year during their non-tenured years, five (5) days before the commencement of school and five (5) days after the last day of school. Each such teacher shall be assigned a tenured teacher by the Superintendent. The Superintendent shall solicit volunteers from the bargaining unit, and pay such teachers One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,750.00) annually for said additional days at the beginning and end of the school calendar, to mentor such teachers. The mentoring program shall be developed by the individual teachers chosen as mentors, the Superintendent and the Building Principals, with observation by the Association. Every year, each mentor will have no more than three (3) mentees.

Each Level I teacher will be partnered with a mentor for two (2) years. Each new teacher to the District with five (5) or more years’ full-time teaching experience (Level II) will participate in the program for his/her initial year in the District. The mentor teacher shall be chosen from volunteers by the Building Principal. The mentor teacher, insofar as possible, shall be a tenured teacher with a minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience. Each mentor teacher shall receive a yearly stipend as stipulated in the extra duty schedule in Appendix B. Both, the mentor and the mentee shall participate in the activities outlined in the District Mentoring Program. No changes shall be made to the program without input from the WTA. Mentor teachers shall not be involved in the evaluation of the mentee.
TEACHER MENTORING PROGRAM. The Teacher Mentoring Program is designed to assist newly employed teachers as they acquire the knowledge and skills appropriate to working in School District 102 and which are essential for the improvement of teaching and learning. Depending on their hire date, newly hired teachers will participate in the Teacher Mentoring Program for up to a year as a year one protégé. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Superintendent, or designee, for part-time teachers hired late in the year. Selected teachers will be asked to participate as year two

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Computer Equipment Recycling Program If this Contract is for the purchase or lease of computer equipment, then Contractor certifies that it is in compliance with Subchapter Y, Chapter 361 of the Texas Health and Safety Code related to the Computer Equipment Recycling Program and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality rules in 30 TAC Chapter 328.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Educational Program A. DSST PUBLIC SCHOOLS shall implement and maintain the following characteristics of its educational program in addition to those identified in the Network Contract at DSST XXXX MIDDLE SCHOOL (“the School” within Exhibit A-3). These characteristics are subject to modification with the District’s written approval:

  • Orientation Program The Company will allow a designated representative of the Local or Bargaining Unit up to one (1) hour per calendar month for the purpose of conducting the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union New Members’ Orientation Program. Such meetings will be conducted during the probationary period of employees, and will be held on Company premises. Employees participating in Orientation Program meetings during their normally scheduled working hours will not suffer loss of pay at their regular rate. Orientation Program meetings will be scheduled by Management and a Management representative may attend as an observer.

  • STATEWIDE CONTRACT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM If the maximum amount payable to Contractor under this Contract is $100,000 or greater, either on the Effective Date or at any time thereafter, this section shall apply. Contractor agrees to be governed by and comply with the provisions of §§00-000-000, 00-000-000, 00-000-000, and 00- 000-000, C.R.S. regarding the monitoring of vendor performance and the reporting of contract information in the State’s contract management system (“Contract Management System” or “CMS”). Contractor’s performance shall be subject to evaluation and review in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Contract, Colorado statutes governing CMS, and State Fiscal Rules and State Controller policies.

  • Staffing Plan The Board and the Association agree that optimum class size is an important aspect of the effective educational program. The Polk County School Staffing Plan shall be constructed each year according to the procedures set forth in Board Policy and, upon adoption, shall become Board Policy.

  • Quality Management System Supplier hereby undertakes, warrants and confirms, and will ensue same for its subcontractors, to remain certified in accordance with ISO 9001 standard or equivalent. At any time during the term of this Agreement, the Supplier shall, if so instructed by ISR, provide evidence of such certifications. In any event, Supplier must notify ISR, in writing, in the event said certification is suspended and/or canceled and/or not continued.

  • Configuration Management The Contractor shall maintain a configuration management program, which shall provide for the administrative and functional systems necessary for configuration identification, control, status accounting and reporting, to ensure configuration identity with the UCEU and associated cables produced by the Contractor. The Contractor shall maintain a Contractor approved Configuration Management Plan that complies with ANSI/EIA-649 2011. Notwithstanding ANSI/EIA-649 2011, the Contractor’s configuration management program shall comply with the VLS Configuration Management Plans, TL130-AD-PLN-010-VLS, and shall comply with the following:

  • Quality Control Program Engineer shall have a quality control program in place that ensures that all deliverable work is of high quality. Engineer shall submit a plan detailing its program to the Inspection Branch of the TxDOT Bridge Division for review and approval prior to beginning work. State may review or audit the programs.
