Uniform and Laundry Allowance. (a) Where an Employer requires an Employee to wear a particular type or style of uniform then the Employer shall provide this at no cost to the Employee. Payment in lieu of providing the uniform is not permitted. (b) Where a uniform is not provided by the Employer the Employee shall be paid a uniform allowance at daily or weekly rate set out Schedule 2, whichever is the lesser amount in total. (c) Where laundering by or at the expense of the Employer is not provided, an Employee shall be paid a laundry allowance at the daily or weekly rate set out in Schedule 2, whichever is the lesser amount in total. (d) The uniform allowances but not the laundry allowance shall be paid to an Employee during all absences on leave, except absence on long service leave and absence on sick leave beyond 21 days. Where, prior to taking leave, an Employee was paid a uniform allowance other than at the weekly rate, the rate to be paid during absence on leave shall be the average of the allowance paid during the four weeks immediately preceding the taking of leave. (e) Where an Employer provides an Employee with uniforms, all articles so provided remain the property of the Employer. (f) The rounding provision does not apply to the calculation of this allowance.

Uniform and Laundry Allowance. Where the Employer requires an Employee to wear any special clothing or uniform, the Employer must reimburse the Employee for the cost of purchasing such special clothing or uniform. The provisions of this subclause 44.1 do not apply where the special clothing or uniform is paid for by the Employer.
Uniform and Laundry Allowance. Where an employee is required by the Employer to wear a uniform, the following arrangements will apply: (i) Subject to subclause (ii) of this clause, sufficient suitable and serviceable uniforms, including one pair of a special type of shoes per annum where applicable, which shall be of a recognised acceptable standard for the performance of nursing duties, and one cardigan or jacket, shall be supplied free of cost to each employee required to wear a uniform or part of a uniform. Replacement of items will be on a fair wear and tear basis. (1) In lieu of supplying uniforms and special type shoes to an employee, an employer shall pay the said employee the sum per week set in Item 10 of Table 2 - Other Rates and Allowances, of Part B, Monetary Rates, for uniforms and the sum per week set out in Item 11 of the said Table 2 for shoes. (2) In lieu of supplying a cardigan or jacket to an employee, an employer shall pay the said employee the sum per week set out in Item 12 of Table 2. (3) In lieu of supplying stockings to an employee, an employer shall pay the said employee the sum per week set out in Item 13 of Table 2. (4) In lieu of supplying socks to an employee, the employer shall pay the said employee the sum per week set out in Item 14 of Table 2. (iii) If, in any facility, the uniforms of an employee are not laundered at the expense of the facility, the sum per week set out in Item 16 of Table 2 shall be paid to the said employee. Provided that the payment of such laundry allowance shall not be made to any employee on absences exceeding one week. (iv) Where the employer requires any employee to wear headwear, the facility shall provide headwear free of charge to the employee. (v) The allowances referred to in subclause (ii) are also payable during any period of paid leave. (i) An employee required and authorised to use their own motor vehicle in the course of their duties will be paid an allowance per kilometre as set out in Item 6 of Table 2. (ii) When an employee is involved in travelling on duty, if the employer cannot provide the appropriate transport, all reasonably incurred expenses in respect to fares, meals and accommodation will be met by the employer on production of receipted account(s) or other evidence acceptable to the employer. (iii) Provided further that the employee will not be entitled to reimbursement for expenses referred to in paragraph 2 of subclause (iii) which exceed the mode of transport, meals or the standard of accommodation agre...

Uniform and Laundry Allowance. 2.1 Where the employer requires the employee to wear a uniform but does not provide the employee with a uniform the employer shall pay the employee an allowance of $5.25 per week. 21.2 For purposes of this clause a ‘uniform’: 21.2.1 is required to be worn where the employer specifies at least one item of clothing or footwear to be worn according to its type or colour; and 21.2.2 is not required to be worn where the only item, or items, specified by the employer to be worn is or are specified for the purposes of meeting the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1984 (WA) as amended from time to time. 21.3 If the employer requires the employee to wear a uniform but does not launder uniforms for the employee, the employee shall be paid an allowance of $1.37 per week in lieu. 21.4 The allowances prescribed in this clause shall be pro rated in the case of part-time employees in the proportion that the hours worked each week bear to 40.
