Vacancy Notice. When a vacancy occurs, each eligible Faculty Member may be sent a vacancy notice, which shall include the number of faculty having higher priority for recall for that vacancy.
Vacancy Notice. Any vacancy or new position that occurs during the school year or during the summer vacation shall be publicized internally. Such vacancy is to be posted as soon as administration determines that a vacancy exists and shall include the description and location of the position as well as the credential requirements. In the event that no unit members are appropriately credentialed for the opening, or they are designated as “hard-to-fill” subjects (Math, ELA, Science, Special Education), the District may advertise externally at the same time.
Vacancy Notice a. Whenever a teacher vacancy exists or a new position is created the Superintendent or his/her assignee shall post notice of the vacancy within three (3) working days. Posting shall be made in each office and to each teacher (through voice mail, email or in mailboxes) and a copy given to the Association President. Vacancies occurring over the summer shall be communicated to the Association President in a timely manner.
b. Teachers with proper certification who are interested in such vacancies shall apply to the Superintendent in writing within five (5) working days of the date of posting. Except in an emergency, the Board shall make no assignment to such posted vacancy during the ten (10) working days following the initial posting.
c. Faculty members will be sought and considered prior to making extracurricular assignments. Extra compensation shall be in accordance with Appendix C and D.
d. Any extracurricular vacancy or newly created position will be posted as stated in 3.11a.
Vacancy Notice. All vacancies or new jobs will be posted in each school building, the School District office, and externally. Any employee shall be eligible to apply in writing for said vacancy or new job, unless a current interview list is present. If a current interview list is present, the School District may utilize said list in lieu of posting if the vacancy occurs in the job for which the interview list was established. An interview list will expire 4 weeks from the date the candidate from said list began working. Copies of all postings will also be sent to the chief xxxxxxx of the exclusive representative. All eligible employees bidding a vacancy will receive an interview. It is the intention of the parties to fill any vacancy with the best qualified candidate. If qualifications, including veteran's preference, are deemed equal, the position shall be awarded according to seniority. The School District shall make such determination. Employees shall be moved to said positions on the basis of seniority provided that they are the best qualified for the position. Nothing herein shall, however, prevent the School District from considering application for said positions of others not presently employees of the School District. Current employees not selected will be provided the reason(s) in a conference with the responsible administrator at the employee’s request. The employee may bring a representative of the exclusive representative to this conference. A position vacancy shall exist when there are enough hours for a position to be included in the bargaining unit by class and covered by this Agreement as defined in ARTICLE III, Section 2. In addition, any increase in hours of more than 2 hours per day in a position shall be posted.
Vacancy Notice. The Administration will post a vacancy notice in all buildings. In addition to posting, notice of teaching vacancies and promotional vacancies shall be communicated by the following methods: (1) department meetings, (2) faculty meetings, and (3) notice in mailboxes to all teachers.
Vacancy Notice. The Superintendent will notify the Association President, in writing, of all administrative, teacher, and extra/co-curricular vacancies, as well as vacancies for curricular or instructional projects initiated by the administration for extra compensation reasonably expected to exceed $750 in one contract year. The notice will include, if known, the title of the position, qualifications, salary, and deadline for application. The Superintendent's Office will be responsible for posting the notice on the Association bulletin board in each building.

Vacancy Notice. Notice of all vacancies shall be posted and employees shall be given five (5) days in which to make an application to fill the vacancy. Consideration shall be given to the senior employee provided he/she can perform the duties and is qualified.
Vacancy Notice. When the City requires the hiring of additional Core Team employees for the positions defined in Section 1.1. Recognition, the City shall notify the Union Business Agent by email that such vacancies exist.
Vacancy Notice a. The District will announce vacancies as soon as there is knowledge that a vacancy exists.
b. The District will announce any tentative class closures as soon as practical.
c. No teacher shall be overtly or indirectly pressured to seek a voluntary transfer
d. Requests for voluntary transfers into the vacant positions shall be made within six (6) days of notification to the membership.
e. All requests for voluntary transfers shall be considered on the basis of three equal criteria:
1. District credential needs and compliance with state and federal regulations.
2. District-wide seniority.
3. Experience in the subject matter.
f. In the case of equal qualifications, experience in the area under consideration will be the determining factor.
g. If a voluntary transfer request is denied, the teacher shall be provided with the specific reasons for the denial in writing.
h. If no request to transfer is received following the window of notification of vacancy to the membership the District is open to seek qualified applicants from outside of the District in order to staff the vacant position.
