Vacation Administration. The Company shall have the final determination as to when each employee shall take such vacations, but will cooperate in an endeavour to arrange a mutually satisfactory time.
Vacation Administration. The allotment of vacation time shall be at the discretion of the Management, but wherever possible, an Employee's wishes will be considered, and seniority will be the governing factor. Vacations must be taken in the vacation year and cannot be accumulated or advanced except by permission of Management. The Plant will shut down for a two week period beginning at the end of afternoon shift on the Friday two weeks prior to the annual Civic Holiday, and will recommence normal operations beginning with the night shift immediately following the Civic Holiday. In May of a given year, a posting will be made for a two-week period requesting volunteers to run specified equipment during the shut down period. Prior to June 1, the volunteers will be confirmed and if openings exist, the most junior qualified employees will be appointed and immediately confirmed. Those employees so appointed will be offered an alternate two weeks in the July to August period if they wish. Vacation schedules will be published prior to the second Monday in February and no changes will be made after this date unless mutually agreed to. The Company will consider requests submitted after the second Monday in February in a timely manner. In order to facilitate the scheduling of vacations and operations throughout the summer months, Management can employ temporary help. Temporary help would only be used in the event that there are no Employees on lay off. Such temporary employees will not accumulate seniority or be eligible for benefit coverage. The vacation shut down will not effect scheduling of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth weeks or the supplementary vacation that the Employees are entitled to.
Vacation Administration. The vacation schedule shall operate on straight seniority based on the date the employee entered the Fire Department. The employee will select either his/her vacation or his/her splits the first time around. After the complete list has been gone through, then the second and third choice will be made under the same procedures.
Vacation Administration. (1) Calendar-Year Basis Notwithstanding the qualifications which must be met with respect to each year of employment, but subject to refund or adjust ment of vacation pay in the event such quali fications are not met, each full-time employee covered by this Agreement shall take each vacation on a calendar-year basis, that is. between January 1 and December 31, in ac cordance with the following schedule: Number of Weeks’ Calendar Year In Which Vacation Service Anniversary Falls With Pay 1st anniversary 1 2nd through 8th anniversaries 2 9th through 14th anniversaries 3 15th through 19th anniversaries 4 20th and subsequent anniversaries 5
(2) Vacation Pay— Employees covered by this Agreement shall receive fifty (50) hours straight-time pay including night shift premium when appli cable for each week of vacation entitlement at the employee’s rate of pay at the time the vacation is taken.
Vacation Administration. The maximum number of Fire Prevention Officer I/IIs scheduled to be on vacation, CTO, PTO, holiday credit accrued, or a 9/80 day off each working day shall not exceed fifty percent (50%) of the filled FTEs in each Fire Prevention Unit.
Vacation Administration. 12.1.3.1. Vacation Schedule: Vacations shall be scheduled between January 1st and December 31st, allocated in preference by seniority. All vacations must be taken prior to December 3 1st of the vacation year. It is the policy of the Town not to grant payment in lieu of vacations.
Vacation Administration exempt employees may use vacation leave in increments of not less than one (1) day. 17 FLSA non-exempt employees may use vacation leave in one-half (1/2) hour increments, at the 18 discretion of the appointing authority.

Vacation Administration a. The time at which the employee shall be granted a vacation is at the approval of the Department Head or designee. However, in an effort to accommodate the employee's requested vacation schedule, the Department shall open to bid vacation scheduling prior to January 1st of each year. Classification seniority shall govern where more than one employee bids for the same period.
b. Non-career (+1040) employees shall be eligible to bid for vacation after all career employees have bid. Date of last hire shall determine seniority for non-career employees. Non- career employees shall bid for vacation on the basis of said seniority.
c. The final vacation schedule as approved by the Department Head or his/her authorized designee shall be permanently posted in the employee work area not later than the first Saturday in January.
d. Annual vacations applied for other than during the open bid period will be granted with the approval of the Department Head or his/her authorized designee.
e. Where a career employee sustains an injury covered by workers' compensation and has utilized all of the one year IOD/Section 4850 time and consequently is receiving straight workers' compensation temporary disability payments, the employee will be allowed to utilize (while off work) accrued vacation time in addition to receiving workers' compensation payments. The employee must take a full day's vacation pay for each day off work. As a condition of so using such accrued vacation, however, the employee is required to continuously utilize accrued vacation until accrued vacation is exhausted or he/she returns to work, so that the employee is off the City payroll at the earliest possible date. This provision also applies to holiday pay accrued and vested.
