WORK DAY, WORK WEEK, WORK YEAR. A. The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours per day.
B. All office professionals shall be entitled to a duty free uninterrupted lunch period. The lunch period shall be scheduled near the midpoint of the office professional’s workday. For office professionals who work an eight (8) hour day, the lunch period shall begin no earlier than three (3) hours after beginning work and no later than four (4) hours before ending work. Exceptions to this schedule may be approved by the office professional’s supervisor.
C. Office professionals who work an eight hour day will be provided a fifteen (15) minute relief period in the morning and in the afternoon. The morning relief period may be taken no sooner than one (1) hour after beginning work and no later than 1 (one) hour before the lunch period begins. The afternoon relief period may be taken no sooner than one (1) hour after the end of the lunch period and no later than 2 (two) hours before ending work. Within the limitations specified above, this relief period shall be taken at a time determined by the office professional. Exceptions to this schedule may be approved by the office professional’s supervisor. Employees who work up to six (6) hours per day will be provided one (1) fifteen (15) minute relief period.

WORK DAY, WORK WEEK, WORK YEAR. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a day’s work. Forty (40) hours shall constitute a week’s work Monday through Friday, or any five (5) consecutive regularly assigned days. The BOARD shall pay time and one-half for all work performed after eight (8) hours in any one day, and/or any time exceeding forty (40) hours in any one week.
WORK DAY, WORK WEEK, WORK YEAR. A. Work Day The normal work day for nurses shall be seven (7) hours coinciding with the student day. Any time beyond the normal work day will be compensated in accordance with federal and state compensation and hour laws. Prior approval to work beyond the normal 7-hour work day must be obtained by the Superintendent or his/her designee. Extra hours may be required in extraordinary circumstances as determined at the discretion of the Superintendent or his/her designee.

The normal work day for all secretarial staff shall be determined by the Board of Education or the Superintendent of Schools in their sole discretion from time to time. The Board of Education expressly reserves the right to assign all work schedules and to modify same as may be necessary to accommodate changing work loads or conditions experienced by the Intermediate School District, and to do so at any time that the Board may deem such action appropriate. The secretarial staff is eligible for a fifteen minute break for each four hours of uninterrupted assignment and an unpaid thirty minute lunch break with timing to be mutually agreed upon by the immediate supervisor and secretary. The normal work week for all secretarial staff shall be Monday through Friday. The normal work year for the secretarial staff shall be school year and fiscal year. Classification of assignments shall be as follows: School Year Employees – are defined as those who work all days of the school year calendar plus any additional days at the discretion of the Superintendent or his designee. If the School District receives a grant or grants that will provide funds to compensate a School Year Employee at his/her hourly rate, the employee may also be employed for working days during the summer months between academic years to be designated by the School District and compensated for such at his/her hourly rate.
WORK DAY, WORK WEEK, WORK YEAR. The standard work day for full-time employees of the bargaining unit shall consist of eight (8) hours and the work week shall consist of forty (40) hours. The normal work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days of work and two (2) consecutive days off. When an employee, at the request of the employing agency, works other than five (5) consecutive work days, said employee may be scheduled to work less than an eight (8) hour day. An employee shall be given seven (7) days written notice of any change in his/her regularly scheduled work day, work hours or work week. The work year for full-time employees shall be two thousand eighty (2080) hours per calendar year except for employees at the Schools for the Deaf or Blind, where the work year shall continue to be the academic year. No article or provision of this Agreement shall prevent the Employer from limiting the number of persons to be scheduled off work at any one time.
