Workplace Closings. A. When conditions are identified that affect hours of operation, employees will be notified as soon as possible after a decision is made to delay the opening of or close the facility. When the Coast Guard is the lead Agency, decisions will be made and notifications initiated as early as possible to permit as many employees as possible to elect to request leave; avail themselves of unscheduled leave, if unscheduled leave is authorized; telework, if applicable; or report to work via late arrival if delayed opening has been authorized.

Workplace Closings. 4.2.7.1 Whenever it becomes necessary to close a workplace because of inclement weather or other emergency situation, non-essential employees may be granted administrative leave per Agency policy. For telecommuting employees, administrative dismissals are based only on the workplace affected by the dismissal. Existing telecommuting agreements as of the effective date of this agreement shall not be modified by this section.
Workplace Closings. Whenever the workplace is closed or otherwise not operational, employees scheduled to work may be granted administrative leave for the duration of the closure. Employees who are telework ready and can perform their normally assigned duties may be required to perform those duties in a telework status.
Workplace Closings. A. Work place closing will be handled in accordance with the current policy on Hazardous Weather Conditions Closure Notifications. See the Appendix of this Agreement for further information.
Workplace Closings. A. All Agency employees are to presume that the office is open each regular workday unless specifically announced otherwise (see Article 34, Temporary Indoor Environmental Conditions and Inclement Weather Procedures). Emergency Employees are expected to report to work on time in the event of an unscheduled leave, delayed arrival or closure announcement. If emergency Employees are already at work when notification of an early dismissal is received, they are to remain at work through the end of their tour. These Employees receive annual notification of their emergency status.

  • Workplace Bullying Bullying for the purpose of this Article is any repeated or systemic behaviour which may be either physical, verbal or psychological including shunning, which would be seen by a reasonable person as intending to belittle, intimidate, coerce or isolate another person. Personal harassment and/or bullying does not include acceptable social banter in the workplace. Nor does it include actions occasioned through the exercise in good faith of management’s rights for bona fide operational requirements or progressive corrective discipline in a manner that is respectful of those involved.

  • Workplace Violence (a) It is recognized that at certain worksites or in certain work situations employees may be at risk of physical violence or verbal abuse from clients, persons in care or custody, or the public.

  • Safe Workplace A) The Employer and employees recognize the need for a safe and healthful workplace and agree to take appropriate measures in order that risks of accidents and/or occupational disease are reduced and/or eliminated. Employers will take all reasonable steps to eliminate, reduce and/or minimize threats to the safety of employees.

  • Workplace The Employee shall be required to perform work at or any other site of work for the Employer.

  • DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS Contractor will comply with the requirements of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1990 and will provide a drug-free workplace by taking the following actions:

  • Workplace Violence Prevention A. In order to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees, the State agrees to develop and implement "Workplace Violence Prevention" policies and programs.

  • Access to the Workplace Union health and safety staff or Union consultants shall be provided access to the workplace and to attend meetings of the committee or Union committee or for inspecting, investigating or monitoring the workplace.

  • WORKPLACE BEHAVIOR 3.1 The Employer and the Union agree that all employees should work in an environment that fosters mutual respect and professionalism. The parties agree that inappropriate behavior in the workplace does not promote the Employer’s business, employee well being, or productivity. All employees are responsible for contributing to such an environment and are expected to treat others with courtesy and respect.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.

  • Drug-Free Workplace Policy Consultant shall provide a drug-free workplace by complying with all provisions set forth in City’s Council Policy 100-5, attached hereto as Exhibit “D” and incorporated herein by reference. Consultant’s failure to conform to the requirements set forth in Council Policy 100-5 shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement and shall be cause for immediate termination of this Agreement by City.
