Accrual of Vacation Credit. Employees shall start to accumulate vacation credit upon completion of their pro- bationary period, retroactive to their date of employment. Vacation days may not be taken during the first six (6) months of employment unless otherwise mutually agreed. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Employer an employee shall not accrue va- cation leave for any pay period during which they are on layoff nor shall an employee accrue vacation leave while they are on an unpaid leave of absence. Accrual of vacation credit shall also be subject to the provisions of Section 22.13.
Accrual of Vacation Credit. Unit employees accrue vacation credit on a monthly basis based on established criteria. Vacation credit for each month is accrued and reported at the end of the month, except that terminating employees eligible to accrue vacation credit accrue proportionate credit through the last day on pay status. Any career employee eligible to accrue vacation may be granted an advance of vacation leave of up to forty (40) hours to cover unusual circumstances with the approval of the Associate Director for Facilities and Infrastructure or the Security Director. Such vacation leave advance is granted only when the employee does not have sick leave or vacation credits to cover the absence.

  • Vacation Credit Any outstanding vacation entitlement for a person going on LTD will be paid in cash upon expiry of sick leave. The cash payment will be calculated on the base earnings at the expiration of sick leave for the prorated days of vacation entitlement, any outstanding lieu days, any outstanding floating statutory holidays, and banked time for 40-hour per week employees. No vacation entitlement, floating holidays, or banked time for 40-hour per week employees accrues while a member is in receipt of LTD benefits.

  • Vacation Credits All employees shall participate in the County’s Terminal Pay Plan (Plan). However, only the terminal paychecks (including unused vacation) of those employees who have reached the age of fifty-five (55) shall be placed into the Plan. These terminal paychecks shall be placed into the Plan on a pre-tax basis in accordance with the Plan, all applicable laws and all rules and regulations applicable to the Plan.

  • Accrual of Sick Leave a. A full-time employee shall accrue four (4) hours of sick leave for each biweekly pay period, or the number of hours that are directly proportionate to the number of days worked during less than a full-pay period, without limitation as to the total number of hours that may be accrued. b. A part-time employee shall accrue sick leave at a rate directly proportionate to the percent of time employed. c.   • Vacation Payout Where an employee requests in writing to have a specific number of vacation days paid out, and the Employer agrees to the request, the Employer will issue pay in lieu of vacation.
