APPRENTICE REQUIREMENTS. Screening and evaluation of apprentice applicants shall be used prior to accepting any applicant into the program, provided the screening and evaluation process shall not conflict with or violate any Federal, State or Local laws governing acceptance of apprentice applicants. All apprentices shall enter into a written agreement with the Apprenticeship Committee and said agreements shall be registered with the State of California. All new applications for apprenticeship shall serve a probationary period of not more than one hundred and eighty (180) days. Failure on the part of the apprentice to satisfactorily complete this period will result in the automatic cancellation of his/her application.

APPRENTICE REQUIREMENTS. A. The person appointed to an apprentice position shall be on probationary status whilein this position. B. The maintenance supervisor shall conduct a written evaluation of the apprenticeduring the first ninety (90) days, and thereafter every six (6) months. C. The apprentice will be required to earn forty (40) credit hours of employer approved course work during non-duty hours. Each credit hour is the equivalent of fifteen (15) contact hours of class time. The apprentice is required to earn six hundred (600) course work equivalency contact hours, and four thousand (4000) contact hours as an apprentice in assigned areas within the maintenance department. The apprentice must complete all the training within four (4) years. Under mutual agreement, the employer and the association have the option to reduce the contact hours based on prior experience. D. If the apprentice fails to complete the requirements on time, or is removed from, orquits, the apprentice program, the following shall apply: During the first year of service as an apprentice, the apprentice shall have the right to return to his/her former position. After the first year of service, the apprentice shall be permitted to return to his/her former classification by bumping the least senior person in suchclassification. E. Upon completion of the required coursework with a grade of “C” or better, theapprentice shall be reimbursed for the cost of tuition, text books and required reference materials. Textbooks and reference materials paid for by the Employer shall be the property of the Employer and shall be placed in a resource library for use by all maintenance employees upon course completion. F. If a maintenance position is not available after completing the training and coursestudy requirements, the apprentice shall remain in the apprentice position and be paid at the maintenance rate. G. If a maintenance position becomes available before, or after, the completion of the apprentice requirements, the apprentice shall be awarded the position. If this position becomes available before the completion of the requirements, the apprentice shall be awarded the position and is still required to complete the remainder of the training, as outlined in Section 4 of this Agreement. At the point in time that the apprentice position is vacated, the apprentice understudy shall assume apprentice status, and the vacated apprentice understudy position shall be subject to the testing procedure, as outlined in Section ...

All new applicants shall serve a probationary period of not more than six months. Failure on the part of the Apprentice to satisfactorily complete his obligations in this period will result in the automatic cancellation of his application.
APPRENTICE REQUIREMENTS. Contractor and its subcontractors are required to meet the apprenticeship ratio of one hour of apprentice work for every five hours of journeyman work per Title 8 California Code of Regulations, §230.1 for its public works projects exceeding $30,000, with the exception of design build projects, which have a higher ratio requirement that graduates from 20% to 60% between 2016 and 2020. California Labor Code §1777.5 requires all public works contractors and subcontractors to submit contract award information to applicable apprenticeship programs that can supply apprentices to the site of the public work, employ registered apprentices, and make training fund contributions to approved apprenticeship programs.

All new apprentices shall serve a probationary period of one thousand (1000) hours of work in the trade, pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. Failure on the part of the apprentice to satisfactorily complete the apprentice’s obligations during such probationary period shall result in automatic cancellation of such application and agreement. (a) The JAC shall, in cooperation with the local Board of Education, determine the establishment and scheduling of related and supplemental instruction classes. (b) All apprentices shall attend these related classes, as assigned by the JAC, and shall be afforded sufficient time off from employment in order to do so. (c) The JAC shall have the authority to exercise disciplinary action, including but not limited to layoff or removal from the job, for failure to attend these related classes or otherwise to meet the minimum requirements established by the JAC in accordance with the terms of the Apprenticeship Standards and addendum thereto.

  • Apprenticeship Requirements The Contractor shall comply with Section 230.1(A), California Code of Regulations as required by the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards by submitting DAS Form to the Joint Apprenticeship Committee of the craft or trade in the area of the site.

  • Overtime requirements No contractor or subcontractor contracting for any part of the contract work which may require or involve the employment of laborers or mechanics shall require or permit any such laborer or mechanic in any workweek in which he or she is employed on such work to work in excess of forty hours in such workweek unless such laborer or mechanic receives compensation at a rate not less than one and one-half times the basic rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in such workweek.

  • SPECIALIZED SERVICE REQUIREMENTS In the event that the Participating Entity requires service or specialized performance requirements not addressed in this Contract (such as e- commerce specifications, specialized delivery requirements, or other specifications and requirements), the Participating Entity and the Supplier may enter into a separate, standalone agreement, apart from this Contract. Sourcewell, including its agents and employees, will not be made a party to a claim for breach of such agreement.
