ASSOCIATION OFFICERS’ LEAVE. 1. The Board shall grant a full time or part time leave of absence to employees elected as officers of the Association for a period of one (1) year. An application for leave must be made in writing to the Superintendent or designate by June 7 of the school year prior to the school year in which the leave is being requested. 2. In cases where the June 7 notification cannot be met, such leaves shall be granted provided at least one (1) month’s notice is given. 3. The Board shall continue to pay these officers their salary and to provide benefits as specified elsewhere in this Agreement, provided the Association reimburses the Board for such salary and benefit costs upon receipt of a monthly statement. 4. For the purposes of pension, salary increment experience, sick leave and seniority credit, these officers shall be deemed to be in the full employ of the Board. The Association shall inform the Board of the number of days or partial days that they were absent from Association duties due to illness. Such sick leave shall be deducted from their accumulated sick leave credits. 5. An officer, upon return from leave, shall be assigned to the same or, if the position no longer exists, a comparable position to the one held prior to the leave.

ASSOCIATION OFFICERS’ LEAVE. A leave of absence of up to two (2) years shall be granted to any teacher upon 12 application for the purpose of serving as an officer of the Association or on its staff. Upon return from such 13 leave, such teacher shall be placed at the same place of the salary schedule where he or she left. ASSOCIATION OFFICERS’ LEAVE a. Upon request by the Association prior to June 1, the District will grant the Association President and Vice President a leave of absence without pay for their term of office. Such leave guarantees return to the same position or to a comparable position. Upon return to a District position, the SKEA President and Vice-President shall be placed on the salary schedule at the level which they would have achieved had they remained actively employed in the District. Furthermore, the SKEA President and Vice-President shall accrue all benefits in the same manner that they would have accrued benefits had they remained actively employed in the District. This unpaid leave shall be for the President and Vice-President to carry out the statutory duties of the Association as exclusive representative in collective bargaining, contract administration, grievance processing during the life of the contract, and related activities bearing a direct relationship to labor-management relationships between the Association and the District. i. If the Association President and Vice-President are on a full-time release they may resign from their Association position at any time for any reason. The District will place the employee in a position comparable to their previous District position within 60 days of notice from the Association. ii. In the event that the President or Vice President resigns from the full-time release position for a qualifying OFLA/FMLA medical leave, the District will comply with all state and federal leave laws and will apply their compensation per District policy and state and federal leave laws. iii. The Association shall reimburse the District the total cost (salary, payroll, and fringe benefits) of the average teacher’s salary for that year as determined on the October 1 scatter gram of the teacher salaries from All Funds or the actual President’s salary, whichever is less. b. The Association shall reimburse the District the total cost (salary, payroll, and fringe benefits) of the Vice President’s salary. c. The District agrees to process the differential salary provided to the SKEA President and Vice President by the Association as a part of the President’s and Vice President’s salaries which the Association currently reimburses and is now processed by the District.   • Union Officers Employees hereafter elected or appointed to full­ time Union office shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of sen­ iority but without accumulating seniority during the period of the leave of absence.

  • Data Protection Officer 10.1 The Data Processor will appoint a Data Protection Officer where such appointment is required by Data Protection Laws and Regulations.

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid release time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year. 2. The following provisions were not bargained and have been included for informational purposes only: a. Because of the many responsibilities imposed on the President of the Association, and in order to enhance the quality of instruction in the classes taught by him or her and maintain continuity, the Board will provide the building to which the President is assigned with a full-time aide who is also a certified substitute teacher. b. The building principal and the President will work out a mutually agreed upon schedule for the use of the aide. c. The presence of this aide will not be used to justify absences in excess of those authorized by the terms of this Agreement.

  • Association President The President of the Association has the right to visit schools. The President will coordinate the visits with the offices of the principals in order to facilitate the purpose of this visit. Visits that are made to solve special problems of teachers will be arranged in advance by notifying the office of the principal.

  • Association Leave The Association shall be allowed to use up to 5 days of leave each school year for use by teachers who are officers or agents of the Association. The Association shall reimburse Unified School District 434 for the loss of use of the teacher taking such leave by paying the daily cost of a substitute teacher. The Association shall notify the Superintendent not less than 5 calendar days in advance of using such leave.

  • Union Officials 1. The Union will notify the Company in writing of the election, appointment, or removal of Union shop xxxxxxx(s). The District Lodge will notify the Company in writing of the Committee members at that location. 2. Effective upon the Date of Signing of this Agreement, the Company will assume the cost of a total of 150,000 hours of straight-time pay per year, to be used by shop stewards and other employees authorized by the Union for the purpose of administration of this Agreement and all other collective bargaining agreements between the Union and the Company. a. Shop stewards and other employees authorized by District Lodge 141 must give prior notice and report all time spent on Union business to the designated management representative. b. The Union will apportion the total annual allotment of 150,000 hours among the Company collective bargaining agreements it administers. In the event of an increase or reduction in the number of such agreements, the parties will meet to discuss and agree upon a proportionate adjustment in the hours allotment. 3. The parties will work with each other in good faith to ensure both that: (1) employees are reasonably represented in grievances and (2) the Company’s operation continues without undue delay. 4. The Union will provide the Company with the names, addresses, and phone numbers of its official Union Representatives. 5. The Company will provide the Union a reasonable amount of time as needed (not to exceed 2 hours) to participate in new-hire orientation for employees covered under this Agreement. 6. If requested by the Union and agreed to by the Company, Local Committeemen may be assigned to the Day Shift and to Saturday and Sunday as regular days off. In the event a significant dispute arises and remains unresolved it may be escalated to the level of AGC and HR at that station and, if not resolved, to the VP of Labor Relations and the President and Directing General Chairman.

  • Additional Officers The Trustees from time to time may appoint such other officers or agents as they may deem advisable, each of whom shall have such title, hold office for such period, have such authority and perform such duties as the Trustees may determine.

  • Officers of the Company (a) The Manager may appoint a President, a General Manager, one or more Vice Presidents, a Secretary and such other officers of the Company (including, without limitation, Station Managers) as the Manager may designate. Officers of the Company shall exercise such powers and duties as provided or delegated in this Operating Agreement, including, without limitation, the power and authority to act for and on behalf of the Company and to bind the Company in the normal or ordinary course of its business, as such business has been conducted prior to the formation of the Company and proposed to be conducted by the Manager. Each officer shall hold office until his or her death, disability, resignation or removal or, if a term is specified, until a successor to such office is appointed upon the expiration of his or her term. (b) The President shall have general supervision, direction and control of the Company and shall perform all duties incidental to his or her office. The President shall be responsible for the administration and operation of the Company’s business and general supervision of its policies and affairs, subject to the direction of the Manager. (c) In the absence or disability of the President, the Vice President or General Manager, if any, as selected by the Manager, shall perform all of the duties of the President and, when so acting, shall have such other powers and perform such other powers and duties as may be prescribed from time to time by the Manager. (d) The Secretary shall record or cause to be recorded, and shall keep or cause to be kept, at the Company’s principal place of business (although copies may be kept at the principal place of business of the Member) and such other place as the Manager may order, a book of minutes of actions taken at all meetings of the Manager and of the Member, with the time and place of holding, the notice thereof given, the names of those present at Manager and Member meetings and the proceedings thereof. The Secretary shall keep, or cause to be kept, at the Company’s principal place of business (although copies may be kept at the principal place of business of the Member) (i) a current list of the Manager, including the full name and business or residence address of each such Manager, (ii) a copy of the Certificate of Formation, and all amendments thereto, (iii) copies of the Company’s federal, state and local income tax or information returns and reports, if any, for the six most recent taxable years, (iv) a copy of this Operating Agreement and any amendments thereto, (v) copies of the financial statements of the Company, if any, for the six most recent Fiscal Years, (vi) a register setting forth the full name and business address of the Member, the outstanding Membership Interests of the Company held by the Member, a copy of the Certificate of Interest evidencing the Membership Interests of the Company held by the Member and any pledge of such Membership Interests, and (vii) the books and records of the Company as they relate to the internal affairs of the Company for at least the current and past four Fiscal Years. (e) The officers of the Company and other parties performing services on behalf of the Company shall be entitled to compensation based on the reasonable value of their services, subject to the discretion and approval of the Manager.

  • Responsibility of Dual Directors, Officers and/or Employees If any person who is a director, officer or employee of the Adviser is or becomes a Trustee, officer and/or employee of the Fund and acts as such in any business of the Fund pursuant to this Agreement, then such director, officer and/or employee of the Adviser shall be deemed to be acting in such capacity solely for the Fund, and not as a director, officer or employee of the Adviser or under the control or direction of the Adviser, although paid by the Adviser.

  • Union Office Upon application by the Union, in writing, the Hospital will give reasonable consideration to a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to full-time Union office. It is understood that not more than one (1) employee in the bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of one (1) calendar year (in the case of the Union President, two (2) calendar years) from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties. Seniority and service shall accumulate during such leave to the maximum provided, if any, under the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It will become the responsibility of the employee for full payment of any applicable benefits in which the employee is participating during such leave of absence.
