Brief Summary of Duties. Manage the activities of Medical Workforce Service to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of a comprehensive employment and workforce management and advisory service for medical staff employed at CAHS. • Provide operational leadership in medical workforce matters across CAHS to achieve an effective and efficient service and ensure health service requirements are met to minimise medical workforce risks including: credentialing, scope of practice, appointment, rostering and contracting. • Liaise with Departments and oversee preparation of all documentation relating to recruitment, appointment, allocation, and separation of all temporary and permanent staff including clinical academics. • Liaises with Finance and Contract Management Directorate to ensure the financial recoup for medical services provided to other health services by CAHS medical staff as well as positions funded by external organisations. • Manages, negotiates and provides a consultancy service for: ▪ Indemnity agreements and other insurance matters. ▪ Service Level AgreementsMedical Services AgreementsIndustrial Relations and Dispute resolution. ▪ Pre-employment screening ▪ Immigration and Visa arrangements and compliance ▪ Development, interpretation and implementation of Award and Industrial Agreements. • Manage an after-hours on-call service as part of a Medical Workforce roster to resolve urgent medical staffing issues. • Ensure provision of administrative support and advice to Medical Workforce committees. • Assist Heads of Department with performance management of medical staff including sub- standard performance and misconduct. • Manage the personnel and administrative activities of the Medical Workforce Service. • In consultation with Medical Executive Team, develops and implements a strategic workforce plan for future medical workforce needs and recruitment and retention of junior and medical staff. • Contributes to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and information management systems to identify, manage and mitigate Medical Workforce risk. • Participate in strategic human resource management support for the medical staff in relation to Public Sector legislative and policy requirements. • Coordinates Unremunerated Clinical Agreements and other unpaid consultant appointments to the health service in line with the policy and procedure. • Develop and maintains strong relationships with various professional bodies in relation to Clinical Standards an...
Brief Summary of Duties. (in order of importance) 1.1. Provides reception and liaison for Telehealth Services including patients, rural Telehealth Coordinators and health professionals who are accessing this service. 1.2. Arranges new and review outpatient appointments using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and the Telehealth appointment scheduling system (MMEx), coordinates diagnostic test results with rural and remote health services, telephone interception, updates patient information, liaises with Doc Centre to activate patient files, arranges and maintain diary of appointments. 1.3. Set up of Telehealth equipment for scheduled appointments and meetings including state- wide, interstate and international dial-ins. 1.4. Maintains communication with consultants, nursing and allied health staff on matters relating to the running and scheduling of Telehealth patient appointments and correct documentation and processes for Telehealth appointments. 1.5. Receives and actions enquiries and maintenance of departmental diary. 1.6. Liaises with rural and remote sites in relation to appointment scheduling, coordination of venues, coordination of diagnostic test results such image transfers via PACS, laboratory results and other patient related requirements. 1.7. Liaises with outpatient service clerks for the clerical requirements of telehealth clinics. 1.8. Developing and implementing procedural guidelines in relation to Telehealth bookings and processes. 1.9. Creates develops and updates various spreadsheets used to collect, consolidate and compare data and statistics as necessary and directed.

Brief Summary of Duties. Accountable to the Executive Director, the Director Clinical Services provides professional medical leadership across the WNHS as part of the WNHS Executive team.
Brief Summary of Duties.  Undertakes the role of Senior Portfolio and Policy Officer in regard to child and adolescent mental health.  Initiates and undertakes examinations of specific populations and related social and economic needs of the Western Australian Child and Adolescent population, and sub-groups, as required for the development of policy and program strategies.  Contributes to the development, review and implementation of State and National health policies.  Provides strong leadership in the delivery of child and adolescent mental health practice within the Department of Health (DOH) and in partnership with providers.  Develops strategic policy for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for compliance in accordance with government and health system objectives.  Reviews and monitors new and existing policies, programs and practices in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for compliance with, and achievement of, government and health system objectives.  Contributes to the development of implementation strategies, quantitative, qualitative standards and evaluation criteria for nominated functional areas.  Liaises with other departments, non-government agencies and the private sector to assist with the development, review and monitoring of one or more functional areas.  Represents the DOH and the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service on State Government level committees and working parties as directed.  Coordinates the evaluation of discrete policy initiatives as directed.  Maintains an expert awareness of relevant trends and issues in relation to health service delivery by other Health Service Providers, Australian States, Territories, overseas and internationally.  Prepares discussion papers, responds to ministerial correspondence, reports and other documents relating to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service policy issues.  Contributes to business planning and strategy development in line with the strategic directions of the Division and the Health Service.  Contributes to and supports the preparation of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service reporting requirements such as annual reporting and budget estimates.
