CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS. 26.1 The Employer will provide rubber boots and other clothing and equipment as required. 26.2 Employees will be responsible for the maintenance and good condition of all clothing, tools, and equipment purchased from or furnished by the Employer. The Employer will replace furnished items when they wear out or break through ordinary wear and tear upon surrender of the worn or broken item. 26.3 Employees will be required to replace items which are determined to be lost, damaged, or broken through misuse or negligence. 26.4 Upon termination of employment, employees must return all clothes, tools, and equipment furnished or replaced by the Employer. 26.5 Maintenance employees will not receive rubber boots but will be entitled to an annual boot allowance of one hundred fifty ($150.00) dollars following their first year of employment. 26.6 Maintenance employees will supply their own tools but will be reimbursed for tools that wear out or break through ordinary wear and tear upon surrender of the worn or broken item.

CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS. (a) The Company will provide a corporate uniform in accordance with its Uniform Policy. The Company will also provide the Employee with all necessary equipment and tools to allow the Employee to perform his/her work. (b) All Employees are required to dress and maintain their grooming and appearance appropriate to the detention service sector and Serco’s professional standards. (c) Employees are required to launder all uniforms supplied by the Company and wear such uniforms only for authorized Serco work purposes. (d) Uniforms remain the property of Serco. Upon ending employment, Employees will be required to return all uniform items, equipment and identification issued to them. (e) Replacement issues of uniform items are to be made on a fair wear and tear basis during employment with the Company.
CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS. 23.1 Should the employer issue the employee with any clothing, equipment or tools for the purpose of the employee's work, such items shall at all times remain the property of the employer. The employee shall be responsible for the safe custody, maintenance and cleaning thereof and shall return such items in good condition, given fair wear and tear, on the employers’ request. If the employee fails or refuses to return it, he/she authorises the employer to with- hold such reasonable amount, representing the value thereof, from any monies due to the employee. 23.2 Should the employee damage or lose any property of the employer due to negligence or wilfulness, the employer may deduct such damage or loss from the employee’s wage / salary, providing that such deduction may not exceed 25% (twenty five) of the employee’s wage / salary at a time, and only after an inquiry into the circumstances of the incident was held.

CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS. (a) Employees required by the employer to wear uniforms shall be supplied with an adequate number of such uniforms, overalls, caps, or aprons appropriate to the occupation free of cost to employees. (i) Uniforms, overalls, caps or aprons shall remain the property of the employer and be laundered and maintained by such employer free of cost to the employee. (1) In lieu of the provision of such caps and uniforms as the employer may, by agreement with the employee, pay such employee a uniform allowance at the rate of $1.23 per day or part thereof on duty or $6.24 per week whichever is the lesser amount. Where such employee’s uniforms are not laundered by or at the expense of the employer, the employee shall be paid a laundry allowance of 32 cents per day or part thereof on duty or $1.49 per week whichever is the lesser amount. (2) The uniform allowance but not the laundry allowance shall be paid during all absences on leave, except absences on long service leave and absence on sick leave beyond 21 days. Where, prior to the taking of leave, an employee was paid a uniform allowance other than at the weekly rate, the rate to be paid during absence on leave shall be the average of the allowance paid during the four weeks immediately preceding the taking of leave. (ii) Where an employer requires an employee to wear rubber gloves or special clothing and/or where safety appliances are required for the work performed by an employee, the employer must reimburse the employee for the cost of purchasing such special clothing or safety equipment. (iii) The provisions of this Clause do not apply where the special clothing or safety equipment is paid for by the employer. (b) A tool allowance of $12.55 per week for the supply and maintenance of tools shall be paid to chefs and cooks who are not provided with all necessary tools by the Employer.

CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS. 41.1. Employees who are employed in ambient temperature areas will be issued with one insulated jacket & one pair of safety boots after a qualifying period of one month. Employees who are employed to drive heated cabin reach trucks will also be issued with one insulated jacket & one pair of safety boots after a qualifying period of one month. Employees who are employed in sub-zero areas will be issued with an insulated freezer suit and freezer boots after a qualifying period of one month. Employees shall be issued with protective cotton gloves in all areas. Such protective clothing shall be regularly cleaned and maintained in good and hygienic condition by the employee. If the said protective clothing is damaged or worn out it will be replaced by the Employer provided that no protective clothing is replaced more than once per year. If the employee wilfully damages, loses or fails to return the issued protective clothing the Employer, may recover from the employee concerned the full replacement cost of the clothing damaged or not returned, failing that the Employer may deduct such costs from the monies payable to the employee. On termination of employment all protective clothing is to be returned to the Employer or the costs thereof reimbursed by the employee. The Employer may on termination withhold payment of any amount otherwise payable to an employee if the employee damages clothing or fails to return it. 41.2. Provision of outfit The following articles shall be provided and maintained in serviceable condition: 41.2.1 An ammonia outfit which shall be kept adjacent to the xxxxxxxx; 41.2.2 An alarm outfit in each chamber, such outfit to be connected with the engine-room; 41.2.3 Waterproof capes and caps for use of employees engaged in defrosting; and 41.2.4 ‘Xxxxx’ or similar type freezer boots and suitable hand covering for use of chamber hands;

CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS. 9.3.1 Should the Employer issue the Employee with any clothing, equipment or tools for the purpose of the Employee's work: 9.3.1.1 such items shall always remain the property of the Employer; 9.3.1.2 the Employee shall be responsible for the safe custody, maintenance and cleaning thereof; and 9.3.1.3 the Employee shall return such items in good condition, given fair wear and tear, on the Employer’s request. 9.3.2 If the Employee fails or refuses to return such clothing and/or equipment and/or tools, the Employee authorises the Employer to withhold such reasonable amount representing the value thereof from any monies due to the Employee. 9.3.3 If any such clothing and/or equipment and/or tools are lost/stolen, the Employee shall be reissued, and the cost thereof shall be deducted from the Employee’s remuneration. 9.3.4 Any failure to wear required protective clothing (“PPE”) shall be dealt with in accordance with the disciplinary code and may ultimately lead to termination of this contract.
