Dues Payment. The Company agrees to deduct and remit dues from each employee according to the rules laid out in Section 16 of the Labour Relations Code of British Columbia.

Dues Payment. 400 Dues Payment 400.1 In recognition of the Association's services to the bargaining unit, all members of the bargaining unit may be members of the Association, the exclusive representative of the unit. Dues Payment. 5.01 The Employer shall deduct Union dues including, where applicable, initiation fees and assessments on a monthly basis from the wages of each employee covered by this Agreement. A copy of the Dues Remittance Form R-115 will also be sent to United Steelworkers, 127- 0000 Xxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxx, XX X0X 0X0. 5.03 The remittance and Form R-115 shall be accompanied by a statement containing the following information. (a) A list of the names of all employees from whom dues were deducted and the amount of dues deducted. (b) A list of the names of all employees from whom no deductions were made and the reason for not deducting dues. (c) This information shall be sent to both Union addresses identified in Article 5.02 in such form as directed by the Union to the Employer. 5.04 The Union shall indemnify and save the Employer harmless against all claims or other forms of liability that may arise out of any action taken by the Employer in compliance with this Article. 5.05 The Employer, when preparing T-4 Slips for the employees, will enter the amount of Union dues paid by the employee during the previous year. 5.06 The Employer agrees to continue the pay and benefits of any Employee absent from work on Union business and the Union shall reimburse the Employer for such wage and benefits payment upon receipt of a monthly statement. A leave of absence form must be completed and authorized by the Union and Employer prior to any absence for trade Union business.
Dues Payment. 3.01 During the term of this Agreement, the employer will deduct a specified amount of union dues which is currently 1.5% of gross wages, which is subject to change from time to time as stipulated in writing by the union, from all employees who have completed their probationary period. The employer shall forward the money so deducted to the union not later than the tenth (10th) day of the month following such deductions. 3.02 All employees shall, as a condition of employment, and within thirty (30) calendar days following completion of their probationary period, be required to execute an authorization for deduction of their union dues. In consideration of the dues deductions referred to in Article 3.01 and authorized under this Article, the union shall hold the employer harmless with respect to any liability which the employer might incur as a result of deduction and remittance of the dues. 3.03 All employees who are members of the union on the effective date of this Agreement or who subsequently become members, shall remain members in good standing in the union during the term of this Agreement as a condition of continued employment. For the purposes of this Article, “in good standing” shall mean “regular payment of monthly dues”.
