Employee Calendar. It is the intention of the parties that the school/work calendar be approved for the ensuing year as early as possible. Following is a summary of the process for developing the school calendar/work year. The timelines established in this process may be extended upon mutual agreement of the parties. 1. The members of the Xxxxxx Education Association (CEA) will meet in February to formulate employee work year options. 2. The Association President will forward the CEA recommendations(s) to the Superintendent for further processing and consideration. 3. The Superintendent will formulate a recommendation regarding the calendar and present it to the Board of Directors for consideration and adoption. Included in the packet of information submitted to the board will be the CEA calendar recommendation. 4. If the final recommendation adopted by the Board of Directors regarding the student attendance calendar is in conflict with the Association work year recommendation, the parties shall immediately reopen negotiations regarding the employee work year.
Employee Calendar. 18.2.1 Full-time schedules for teaching assistants will be either a 185-day schedule or a 205-day schedule. The work year for employees shall be contained within the July 1- June 30 contract year. Annually, at least 30 hours will be designated as professional development time and an additional 15 hours will be designated as class preparation/records time for all teaching assistants. Employees that currently hold 185-day Young Adult Project Teaching Assistant positions will be given priority for the 205-day positions until the end of an internal posting. The internal posting will be open for a five-day period and the current 185-day Young Adult Project Teaching Assistants must submit their letter of interest to the Office of Human Resources and Legal Services during that five-day period. Employees that currently hold 185-day Young Adult Project Teaching Assistant positions will be given priority for the 205-day positions until the end of an internal posting. The internal posting will be open for a five-day period and the current 185-day Young Adult Project Teaching Assistants must submit their letter of interest to the Office of Human Resources and Legal Services during that five-day period. 185-day employees employed as of the ratification date of this bargaining agreement who elect to transfer into 205-day positions will be placed on the new salary scale; and will receive a single buy-out payment of $1,000 that will be paid at the end of the 2021-22 school year. The number of workdays for the 2021-22 year will be determined once the bargaining agreement has been fully ratified, but it will likely be 185 workdays for 2021-22. Current 185-day employees may elect to remain in 185-day positions and will remain on the existing pay scale and will continue to follow the other provisions of the agreement for 185-day employees. New employees hired into positions in these programs/classrooms will be assigned to be in 205-day positions. 18.2.2 Employees assigned to a classroom program in a local district shall work the teacher schedule in that district, but not to exceed 37.5 hours per week, except under 18.3.4, or unless authorized by the supervisor. 18.2.3 Employees who work over forty (40) hours in a work week will be compensated at per diem plus one half.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 110. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time-and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime pursuant to the provisions of Section III.E.2. 111. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an Employee's vacation period, she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the Employee.

  • Vacation Earnings for Partial Years (1) During the first partial year of service a new employee will earn vacation at the rate of three and two-thirds (32/3) days for each month for which the employee earns ten (10) days pay. (2) Subject to Clause 17.8, any unused vacation earned during the first (1st) partial year will be paid to the employee at December 31st of that year. (b) During the first (1st) and subsequent vacation years an employee will earn one-twelfth (1/12) of the annual entitlement for each month in which the employee has received at least ten (10) days' pay at straight-time rates. Where an employee has taken more vacation than earned, the unearned portion taken shall be charged against future earned credits or recovered upon termination whichever occurs first.

  • ALTERNATE SCHOOL CALENDAR 1. In this article, an alternative school calendar is a school calendar that differs from the standard school calendar as specified in Schedule 1 (Supplement) of the School Calendar Regulation 114/02. 2. When a school district intends to implement an alternate school calendar, written notification shall be provided to the local no later than forty (40) working days prior to its implementation. The employer and the local shall meet within five (5) working days following receipt of such notice to negotiate modifications to the provisions of the agreement that are directly or indirectly affected by the proposed change(s). The aforesaid modifications shall preserve, to the full legal extent possible, the original intent of the agreement. 3. The process outlined below in Article D.6.4 through Article D.
