External Training. Davco encourages employees to undertake external training (after hours) that is relevant to their position within the Company. The following conditions apply: All external training must be approved by the relevant manager prior to commencement. Davco will reimburse all course fees and textbook costs when proof of successful completion of the course is presented. If a course continues for several years, the reimbursement will be annually (textbooks to a maximum of $350.00 annually). No wages or salaries will be paid for attendance of after-hours courses.
External Training. The District will select a highly qualified employee or an independent third-party consultant, both subject to OCR approval, to provide annual training to interested District community members, including parents/guardians of current students, on the Section 504 regulation at 34 C.F.R. §§ 104.4(a), 104.33, 104.35, 104.36. The training will include the following topics, at a minimum: i. The definition of disability under Section 504 and Title II. This portion of the training will focus on the definition and the scope of the termmajor life activity” in the regulations implementing Section 504 and Title II, as amended by the ADA Amendments Act of 2008; ii. The provision of a free appropriate public education (FAPE) to all qualified students, based on Section 504’s FAPE requirements at 34 C.F.R. §§ 104.33–36, focusing on the following: 1. The requirement at 34 C.F.R. § 104.33(a) and (b) that the District provide a FAPE to all students with disabilities, regardless of the nature or severity of the disability;
External Training. External training refers to training opportunities offered through other police agencies, training agencies, or institutes that may be utilized to enhance individual development and to satisfy training or certification needs that are not available through the local criminal justice training academy. External training often may not be pre-approved or certified by the Department of Criminal Justice Services (“DCJS”). If an employee desires to participate in an external training, the employee should make the request through procedures established by the Department. The Chief of Police will have final approval of all external training requested by employees. Employees who attend Department-paid external training will be expected to teach the training to Department personnel after completion of the training.
External Training. 2.5.1 The external training component of the career path is designed to recognize additional qualifications completed by the tradesperson, and to encourage the attainment of such qualifications. 2.5.2 The external training component shall be completed with registered training organizations (RTO) - eg TAFE 2.5.3 Certification of post trade instrumentation that is required for dual trade status will not be accepted for the external training component. 2.5.4 Courses relevant to the ICE Career path will be from the Electrical, Instrumentation, Computing or Management streams. 2.5.5 Any tradesperson that has completed sufficient modules for a given Level, but lacks the external training requirement (and has reason for not attending external training) can apply through BMG Management for an alternative accreditation; either through company supplied courses and/or completion of extra modules (provided that sufficient extra modules are available), equivalent to the external training requirement. Alternative accreditation will not exceed 400 hours.

External Training. In order to enhance a regular employee’s job performance now, or in the future, the IESO may provide financial support for external training activities consistent with the IESO's Policy, subject to the following conditions: a) The employee is expected to obtain prior approval from his/her supervisor prior to registering in the training course. b) The external training should normally be completed outside normal working hours. Where this is not possible, time off with pay to attend external training programs will be at the discretion of the employee’s supervisor. In no circumstances will the external training exceed six weeks if the employee is required to be absent from work. c) 100% of reasonable costs paid by the employee for external training courses will be reimbursed where: d) 75% of registration/tuition fees and learning material costs will be paid for external training courses which improve an employee’s capability for future jobs within the IESO. e) An employee will be reimbursed for reasonable costs subject to: 1. Satisfactory course completion and a passing grade where applicable, except where the course is taken upon the request of Management. 2. Costs will not be reimbursed if the employee has given notice of resignation prior to completion of the course. 3. All approved costs will be reimbursed for courses which cannot be completed due to the employee being transferred to another location.

External Training. The Agency may reimburse employees appropriate costs associated with the pursuit of an academic degree, if so directed and in accordance with 5 U.S.C. 4107, US DOJ regulations, Agency policy, and availability of funds. All academic reimbursement will be determined by Agency policy and Training Division approvals.
External Training. (a) An employee required by the Company to attend training outside the employee’s rostered hours will be paid for all such hours at the employee’s ordinary rate of pay. (b) An employee who is approved to attend training not required by the Company will be paid for any hours attending the course at the employee’s ordinary rate of pay. The Company will reimburse all reasonable costs of completing the training on production of evidence of successful completion. (c) Where the Company engages a trainee or an apprentice under a contract of training, the Company undertakes to provide training that falls within the required competencies for the particular occupation within the contract. Provided that the trainee/apprentice: i) performs all tasks incidental to the occupation concerned, and; ii) complies with all reasonable requests from the Company to perform such tasks as are necessary to complete the contract of training.
