Fitness Program. The City agrees to make the use of the City’s Fitness Center free of charge for employees who provide to the Human Resources Department documentation that they have received an annual physical exam during the previous twelve (12) months. Free membership shall be suspended until such documentation is provided each year.
Fitness Program. The City agrees to make the use of the City’s Fitness Center free of charge for employees. During the first year of this Agreement, a voluntary fitness program shall be developed by a team consisting of a member of City staff and a member from each PBA bargaining unit.

Fitness Program of the year in which the contract All Employees hired on or after July 1, 2007, shall be required to participate in the Darien Police Department Fitness Program (the “Fitness Program”) and shall be referred to as “Mandatory Participants.” Employees actively employed by the Department as of June 30, 2007, shall not be required to participate in the Fitness Program, but shall be invited to participate in any aspect of the Fitness Program at their option and without penalty and shall be referred to as “Voluntary Participants.”
Fitness Program. Employer agrees to work with the Union to develop a fitness program available to all union employees in EMS for the purpose of improving employee health and thus reducing the County’s workers’ compensation costs. The parties will meet periodically to discuss the effectiveness of the program, however, it is in the County’s sole discretion whether to continue, amend or cancel such program.
Fitness Program. The purpose of the Fitness Program is to improve the general health of Fire Department personnel and to help contain the cost of insurance. The Fitness Program shall be a non-punitive program. Personnel on duty (stations option, Sunday and/or holidays) may work out for a period of time not to exceed one (1) hour. In case of extreme weather and/or working conditions, to be determined by the Chief, Deputy Chief, and/or their designee, personnel may be allowed to workout at their stations. Firefighters while on duty shall not be restricted too only the workout facility provided by the City of Muncie. Personnel while working-out shall be on will-call. Apparatus going out of service must have approval of their Battalion Chief and/or their designee. The City shall provide funding for upkeep and maintenance of the Fire Department gym based upon the recommendation of a representative of the Fire Chief and a representative of the Union President and approved by the Mayor in light of then-current budgetary constraints. Malicious damage by Fire Department personnel will not be the responsibility of the City. The facility shall be only accessible to active and retired fire department personnel, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Each station shall be equipped with a minimum of one treadmill and one recumbent bike.
Fitness Program. 24.01 The Fitness Program shall not conflict with any provisions of the Collective Agreement. (1984) The Association and firefighters covered by this agreement will participate on a cooperative basis, in the introduction and implementation of a Fitness Program, appropriate to the terms and conditions of employment of the job, as defined by the M.F.E.S. 24.02 No firefighter shall be hired as a full-time firefighter unless the Corporation is satisfied he/she is physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a firefighter that are appropriate to the terms and conditions of the job, and having regard to his/her safety, the safety of other firefighters and members of the public. 24.03 A complete general medical examination of each firefighter will be required annually. However, if the Corporation believes there is just and sufficient reason to assume that a firefighter is not fit to perform his/her duties, another special medical examination may be required. a) Medical examination and supplementary medical information conducted by a qualified medical practitioner.
b) Job-related physical performance tests and general fitness assessment conducted by qualified persons.
24.04 Each firefighter has an obligation to remain physically fit to satisfactorily execute his/her duties appropriate to the terms and conditions of employment of the job. Where physical fitness facilities and activities are provided by the Corporation, a firefighter will be required to utilize the facilities, while on duty on a regular basis. (1984) (2006)
24.05 All firefighters employed by the Corporation prior to January 1, 1984, shall not suffer any loss of employment as a result of the implementation of the Fitness Program. Save and except when the Corporation has just and sufficient reason to require a special medical examination as provided in 24.03. Each firefighter will be expected to participate in the Fitness Program. Each firefighter who desires to participate, shall complete the necessary forms as outlined in 24.03 of this article in order that he/she be deemed "fit" to participate in the Fitness Program. Fitness Program. Employees are responsible to pay their own joining fees, annual enrollment fees, and monthly dues at their fitness facilities.
Fitness Program. Members will be reimbursed up to $300 per fiscal year for an exercise or health program and/or exercise gym or health club membership upon submission of a valid receipt. In the case of utilizing the options offered under the CCPS Wellness Program, payment and reimbursement will be handled via payroll deduction.
