General Allowances. Where the rate payable to Northern Territory Government Employees in a calendar year in respect of an allowance for travel, meals, First Aid, or accommodation is specified in the annual NTG Determination, the rate payable to BIITE Employees for that allowance will be the same as the rate payable to NTG employees.

General Allowances. (a) Meal Allowance Employees covered by this Agreement who are required to work overtime for any period in excess of one hour after the usual hour of ceasing duty shall be paid an allowance in accordance with Table 3 to this Agreement as meal money, provided that no meal money will be payable if the employee is given notice of the requirement to work overtime on the previous day.

Unless specified otherwise, the allowances referred to in this section will be administered in accordance with the DITR General Allowance Policy and Procedures. The allowance rates contained in the agreement are the minimum allowances payable. The Secretary may review and increase the rates of allowances payable having regard to the relevance and adequacy of rates. Revised rates, if any, will be made available to employees.

19.02 Employees shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of their duties and shall provide proof of payment excluding meal receipts. An employee may request a larger advance in any given month. The employee shall have the option to repay the advance on the next expense cheque, or to have such advance continued.
General Allowances. 16.1.1 Employees, other than shift workers, in a continuous process, when in charge of depot, office or telephone during a meal break shall be paid the extra rate set out in Appendix 1B, Extra Rates, Item No. 13.
16.1.2 Employees who are required to use materials containing asbestos or to work in close proximity to employees using such material shall be paid the amount in Appendix 1B, Extra Rates, Item No.
General Allowances. (a) Where a team member is required by Shiels Group to move temporarily from one store to another for a period not exceeding 3 weeks, all additional transport costs so incurred will be reimbursed by Shiels Group.
(b) A team member who on any day is required to work at a place away from their usual place of employment, for all time reasonably spent in reaching and returning from such place (in excess of the time normally spent in travelling from their home to their usual place of employment and returning), will be paid travelling time and also any fares reasonably incurred in excess of those normally incurred in travelling between their home and their usual place of employment. Where Shiels Group provides transport from a pick-up point and returning to such pick-up point, a team member will be paid travelling time for all time spent travelling from such pick-up point and returning to such pick-up point. The rate of pay for travelling time will be ordinary time except on Sundays and holidays when it will be time and a half.
(c) Where Shiels Group transfers a team member from one township to another, Shiels Group will be responsible for and will pay the whole of the moving expenses, including fares and transport charges, for the team member and the team member’s immediate family.
(d) Where a team member commences and/or ceases work after 10pm on any day or prior to 7am on any day and the team member’s regular means of transport is not available and the team member is unable to arrange their own alternative transport, Shiels Group will reimburse the team member for the cost of a taxi fare (or similar ride sharing service) from the place of employment to the team member’s place of residence. This will not apply if Shiels Group provides or arranges proper transportation to and/or from the team member’s usual place of residence, at no cost to the team member.
