Grievance Chairperson. The Grievance Chairperson or his/her designee, during his/her normal working hours, without loss of time or pay, may on his/her own shift, in accordance with the terms of this section, investigate and present grievances to the University, upon having received prior permission from his/her immediate supervisor to do so. Permission will not be unreasonably withheld. The privilege of the Grievance Chairperson or his/her designee leaving his/her work during normal working hours without loss of time or pay is subject to the understanding that the time will be devoted to the proper handling of grievances and will not be abused. The Grievance Chairperson or his/her designee will perform his/her regularly assigned work at all times, except when necessary to leave his/her work to handle grievances as provided herein. Any alleged abuse by either party will be a proper subject for a special conference. An employee will not be paid at any time that he/she is present during the processing of a grievance if that time falls outside his/her scheduled working hours.

Grievance Chairperson. Grievance Chairperson shall mean that member of the Association, duly appointed by the Association to resolve members' grievances.
Grievance Chairperson. The Grievance Chairperson may be designated to investigate and discuss grievances with Department Supervisors and/or Department Stewards prior to reducing the grievance to writing. The Grievance Chairperson may leave his/her work during working hours without loss of pay based on the understanding that his/her supervisor has granted him/her permission to leave his/her work, that the time will be devoted to the prompt handling of legitimate grievances, and that he/she will perform his /her regularly assigned work at all times, except when necessary to leave his/her work to handle grievances as provided herein. Any alleged abuse by either party will be a proper subject for a Special Conference. Discipline for such abuse shall be applied only after review by the Assistant Vice President of University Human Resources or his/her designee.

Grievance Chairperson. The President shall appoint a member, subject to the approval of the Local Executive Board, to serve as the Grievance Chairperson. The primary responsibility of the Grievance Chairperson will be the grievance handling for all bargaining unit members. The Grievance Chairperson will establish a grievance committee. The Grievance Chairperson will serve on the Executive Council in accordance with the State Federation Constitution.
Grievance Chairperson. The Shop Stewards may elect from their ranks one person who will be the Grievance Chairperson. Normally, it will be the Grievance Chairperson who will be recognized by the Company as the official spokesperson on behalf of the Union, with provision by the Union of a designated alternate in the event of absence. The Grievance Chairperson, or alternate, will be involved in the adjustment or resolution of grievances which progress beyond the first step of the grievance procedure.
