There shall be a rest period during each half tour, as stipulated by the Hospital, the duration of which is set out in Article in both the Full-time and Part- time Collective Agreements. is understood that a weekend consists of six consecutive hours off work during the period following the completion of the Friday day tour until the commencement of the Monday day tour. The Hospital shall provide one weekend off three, but if the nurse is required to work on a third or subsequent weekend, she shall be paid the time worked on such weekend at the premium as provided for in Article of the full-time Collective Agreement until such time as she is granted a weekend off, except where: such weekend has been worked by the nurse to satisfy specific days off requested by such nurse; or such nurse requested weekend work; or such weekend is worked as the result of an exchange of tours with another nurse. two consecutive days of€ will be scheduled during each work week, however, schedules may be agreed upon to provide for more than five consecutive days of work but not more than seven consecutive days of work without days off as long as four days off are scheduled each fourteen days. In any two week period, at least two consecutive days off must be scheduled. The remaining two days off may be split by mutual consent. This applies to full-time nurses only. Should these regulations not be adhered to a nurse will be paid the premium as provided for in Article of the Full-Time Collective Agreement. Tour schedules and days off will be posted at least five weeks in advance. Note: Tour schedules and days off for the previous pay will of pay period. Requests for change posted schedules must be in and CO-signed by a nurse willing to exchange days off or tour. It is understood that change in tour initiated by the nurse and approved by the Manager shall not result overtime payment.

Hours of Work (Full-Time The regular hours of work for all employees covered by this Agreement shall be as follows: The normal hours per week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37112) hours exclusive of meal times for each employee during biweekly periods. Weekly Hours of Work (Part-Time Employees) The daily working hours shall not exceed seven and one-half (7112) hours per day exclusive of meal times.

For purposes of defining tours of duty and calculating entitlement of overtime compensation except as otherwise provided in Section the normal day shall be a twenty-four hour period allocated as follows: day shift evening shift night shift Scheduling Objectives in the formulation of working schedules have been left to local arrangements. These local arrangements permit flexibility by encouraging individual responsibility. As a guide to the type of scheduling arrangements which the Hospital will maintain and follow, the parties set out below standard objectives, recognizing that the Hospital may not be able to attain these objectives and that their attainment may be varied with the consent of those concerned.

The normal work week shall be made up o f five (5) equal days with work commencing at a.m. and shall be known as the shift. The starting time may be changed when mutually agreed t o by the applicable Union Business Agent and the Board. The lunch period w i l l be one - half hour on each s h i f t without pay. Employees shall, be required t o punch " out " before lunch and " i n after lunch. There shall be two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods on the f i r s t shift. There shall be one (1) f i f t e e n (15) minute rest period and one

Hours of Work The normal scheduled hours shall be seventy-five (75) hours for every two week period, exclusive of a half hour unpaid meal break, an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37 hours per week or seven and one-half (7 hours per day. The meal period shall be an uninterrupted period except in cases of emergency. Rest Periods "The Hospital will schedule one fifteen (15) minute rest period for each full scheduled half shift." Additional Rest Periods "When an employee performs authorized overtime work of at least three (3) hours duration, the' Hospital will schedule a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration." ARTICLE PREMIUM PAYMENT -Definition of Regular Time Rate of "The regular straight time rate of pay is that prescribed in wage schedule of the Collective Agreement." Definition of Overtime shall be defined as all hours worked in excess of the regular day shift or over seventy-five (75) hours per two (2) week period except that the Food Services Department may schedule more than hours in a pay period to accommodate their existing seven day rotation provided the next period is less than hours by the same number of hours.
HOUR S OF WORK. (The clause is applicable to full-time employees only). The Hospital shall maintain and achieve the following objectives in the formulation of working schedules insofar as it is practicable and provided that adequate staffing can be maintained:

Regular Hours - Work Schedule Every year, employees are required to attend all mandatory meetings, route selection, dry runs, etc. required by management within fourteen (14) days prior to the first day of school for Valley View Public Schools. The routes established by the Employer shall be selected, when other factors are nearly equal, by seniority before the start of each new school year. Said selected routes shall determine the Employee’s work schedule. Workschedules shall remain as stable as possible but are subject to change in accordance with the just need of the Employer to accomplish safe, effective and economical routes and times. The Employer shall assign the duties as necessary to be performed by each Employee during the Employee’s work schedule. Any additional hours shall be allocated on the basis of seniority and the seniority lists as determined by the Transportation Director. Additional hours will be assigned in the following order:
HOUR S OF WORK. The normal hours of work for full-time nurses covered by this agreement shall be between hours and hours, exclusive of a one-hour (1) meal break, Monday to Friday inclusive.
HOUR S OF WORK. 16.01 This Article is intended to define the normal hours of work and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours per day or per week, or number of days per week.
