In-Service Time. During in-service time, time should be split between teachers on a job share assignment. For staff who work half time or more than half-time, but less than full time, they are to work full-time as needed and submit a time sheet for any hours worked beyond their regular hours.

In-Service Time. The District shall provide an opportunity for employees to attend forty (40) hours of in-service and/or workshop training outside the normal workday. Employees working six (6) or more hours per day shall receive forty (40) hours of in-service and/or workshop training. These in-service hours can be used for all mandatory training offerings including but not limited to: Skyward, Qmlativ, SafeSchools etc. Those employees working less than six (6) hours per day shall receive five (5) times their shift for in-service hours (see chart below). Employees may be released from duties to attend such training if held during the workday. If held outside the workday, or at a time when school is not in session, the rate of pay shall be the employee's regular hourly rate of pay. Subjects and dates will be mutually discussed by the parties with final determination to be made by the District. Three (3) hour employee = 15 hours of in-service (7.5 hours may be flexed in the office). Four (4) hour employee = 20 hours of in-service (10 hours may be flexed in the office). Six (6) hour or more employees may flex twenty (20) hours of their in-service time per school year. If flex hours cause the employee to work over forty (40) hours per week, the extra time shall be paid at time and a half. Less than six (6) hour employees may flex in-service hours as indicated above. The flexed hours may be performed after their regular work shift or on the weekend.
In-Service Time. Attendance at In-Service activities approved by the Administration shall not result in loss of pay. Should such activities occur outside the regular work schedule, compensation and expense reimbursement arrangements must be approved in advance. On days when school is open but students are not in attendance, i.e., service days, teacher days, etc. employees shall work their normal hours and receive their normal pay. Such time shall be used at the direction of the employee’s immediate supervisor and shall involve activities that are normally within the employee’s job description.
In-Service Time. 1. One-half (1/2) of the local in-service time shall come from school time and one-half (1/2) from teachers so that any in-service meeting will conclude no later than 4:00 PM.
In-Service Time. In addition, the Board may schedule, for all staff or individual staff members, during each year of the Agreement up to ten (10) hours of service time, outside the normal work day for activities such as open house, parent orientation, in-service/workshops and other activities, as approved by Administration. Such activities shall not be scheduled on holidays, vacation periods, days before or after the scheduled work days, or on Saturdays or Sundays, except upon mutual agreement of the Administration and the Association. Such activities may be scheduled on a total staff or individual basis. APPENDIX D
In-Service Time. Time spent by an employee traveling to and from and attending training programs, seminars or conferences shall be computed at the employee's straight-time regular rate of pay for all hours lost from his regularly scheduled hours of work. Such hours shall be included in the hours of work for overtime; but any hours away from work beyond his regularly scheduled hours shall not be counted for overtime purposes. Employees scheduled for the afternoon and overnight shifts shall be presumed to have been scheduled for the day shift. Employees mandated to attend training outside of Berrien County are eligible to be compensated for any travel time outside of the normal scheduled shift. Non-juvenile Center staff will have their schedules adjusted to remain within the weekly 37 ½ hour work week and Juvenile Center staff will receive compensatory time.

In-Service Time. This section is intended to clarify the use of the days beyond the student school year in the Agreement for In-Service Time utilization. Utilization of 4 Days Reserve 4 days, to be designated as the first Friday after the last day of each of the first three marking periods and the Friday preceding the last day of school as In-Service/Classroom-Clerical days. In-Service/Classroom-Clerical Days Defined 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.In-Service Time In-Service Time is defined as time for administratively organized activities. The Bargaining Agent has the option of planning for up to two (2) hours of the twelve (12) hours of “In-Service Time”.

  • IN-SERVICE When a nurse attends any in-service programme during her/his regularly scheduled working hours, she/he shall suffer no loss of pay. When a nurse is unable to do so, and attends the in-service programme outside her/his regularly scheduled hours, she/he shall be paid for all time attendance at her/his straight time rate of pay. If attendance is mandatory all applicable premiums will apply.

  • Service Period The Service Period of this Agreement is for 1 year in respect of the unit and starts on the Start Date as defined in the Terms and Conditions, or, in the case of an extension of renewal of the provision of Support Services, starts on the date of payment of the Charges.

  • Service Term XOOM agrees to act as your exclusive natural gas supplier and will provide competitive retail natural gas service to you.   • Leave Time During the Employment Period, Employee shall be entitled to paid vacation and leave days each calendar year in accordance with the leave policies established by Employer from time to time. Any leave time not used during each fiscal year of Employer may be carried over into the next year to the extent permitted by Employer policy.

  • Comp Time In lieu of payment for overtime hours worked, the employee may request to take compensatory time off. Approval shall be at the discretion of the Department Head. If the request is approved by the Department Head, one and one-half (1 2) hours of compensatory time shall be credited for each overtime hour worked. A maximum accrual of compensatory time shall be forty (40) hours. Flex Time. The County recognizes and supports the concept of Flex time. Flex time is allowed within the work week as it is defined in Article 20, Section 2 of this contract. If an employee requests, an employee and their department head may agree to allow an employee to flex their schedule. However, in some departments and under some circumstances flex time may not be feasible and will not be permitted. No employee shall be required to take flex time off in order to avoid the payment of overtime or as a condition of continued employment.

  • In-Service Training A permanent Unit Member may, upon application, concurrence of the Unit Member’s Department Head/Administrator, and approval of the Employer or his/her designee, attend courses of study of approved academic institutes and such other training programs as are designed to upgrade the classified service, and retrain a Unit Member who may otherwise be subject to a limitation of opportunities or layoff due to technological changes.

  • Vacation Time After the Trial Period is complete, the Employee is entitled to days off per year of which is required to be mutually benefiting of the Employer and the Employee. It is required for the Employee to give notice before scheduling their vacation in accordance with Company policy.   • Effective Time Subject to the provisions of this Agreement, as soon as practicable on the Closing Date, the parties shall file with the Secretary of State of the State of Delaware a certificate of merger (the “Certificate of Merger”) executed and acknowledged by the parties in accordance with the relevant provisions of the DGCL and, as soon as practicable on or after the Closing Date, shall make all other filings or recordings required under the DGCL. The Merger shall become effective upon the filing of the Certificate of Merger with the Secretary of State of the State of Delaware, or at such later time as Parent and the Company shall agree and shall specify in the Certificate of Merger (the time the Merger becomes effective being the “Effective Time”).
