Interscholastic Athletics. A. All vacancies in the interscholastic program for each new school year will be posted in each school before the close of school in June. Notices will be placed on the LEA bulletin board in each school for at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the consideration of applications. If additional vacancies occur during any school year, announcements will be posted, whenever possible, in each school seven (7) days prior to the consideration of applications. B. Staff members who wish to apply for a coaching position should forward a letter of application to the Superintendent (or his/her designee). Applicants may include a resume with their application. The Athletic Director, after consultation with the high school administrator and the head coach, where applicable, will submit recommendations to the Superintendent (or his/her designee). The Athletic Director may involve head coaches in the selection of assistant coaches. 1. Selection of coaches will be based on the qualifications of the applicant. If the Superintendent (or his/her designee) determines the qualifications of the applicants to be equal, preference will be given to the teachers currently employed in the Leominster Public Schools. 2. If the Superintendent (or his/her designee) determines the performance of a person who held a respective coaching position the previous season was satisfactory, the same person may be recommended for appointment without a formal interview. New applicants for such positions will not be interviewed. 3. Evaluation of all coaches will be completed by the Director of Athletics at the conclusion of each respective coach’s contract period. 4. a. Step 1 of each coaching assignment will be given a percentage on the base salary on the Bachelor’s Degree level at the time the assignment is completed.

Interscholastic Athletics. It is the understanding of both the MFT and the Board of Education that coaching of interscholastic athletics is an extension of the educational program in Xxxxxx Central School District. It is our sincere belief that the educational benefits of athletics can best be met by members of our own faculty who extend their teaching day as coaches. These unit member coaches must be properly certified by the State of New York as outlined in the Commissioner’s Regulations.

This is espe- cially true of the Junior and Senior classes. Before any scheduled activity takes place, the faculty advisor must make sure that a copy of the proper request form is completed and filed. These forms may be obtained from the Main Office. Distribution of food products in school to raise money is limited – both in support of school organizations and others.
Interscholastic Athletics. (a) A school board shall permit a pupil who resides in the school district and is enrolled in a home-based private educational program to participate in interscholastic athletics in the school district on the same basis and to the same extent that it permits pupils enrolled in the school district to participate. (b) Upon request, the home-based educational program in which the pupil is enrolled shall provide the school board with a written statement that the pupil meets the school board’s requirements for participation in interscholastic athletics based on age and academic and disciplinary records. No person may provide a false statement under this paragraph. The school board may not question the accuracy or validity of the statement or request additional information.

Interscholastic Athletics. All recommendations concerning positions and personnel assignments for coaching positions for the next school year will be submitted to the superintendent of schools in writing by the Director of Physical Education in the following manner: Fall sports by February 15 Winter sports by June 1 Spring sports by July 15 The director’s recommendations will be based upon recommendations and evaluations of the head coach of each sport and will be finalized in consultation with the head coach of each sport and the building administrator. Three steps will be established to differentiate years coaching a particular sport within the Nyack Public Schools. Step I is for the first and second year of coaching in a particular sport. Step II is for the third and fourth years of coaching in a particular sport. Step III is for five or more years of coaching in a particular sport. (See Interscholastic Salary Schedule attached hereto as Schedule C) B. Other Co-Curricular Activities: 1. See Co-Curricular Salary Schedule attached hereto as Schedules E and F. 2. New Activities: A proposal form will be completed by the staff member interested in starting the activity and presented to the principal for approval. The principal may approve the activity with a jointly developed recommendation for a stipend if unencumbered funds are available within the current year’s building co-curricular budget. If funds are unavailable, the principal should submit a request for additional co-curricular funds through the normal budget process. Copies of the signed proposal in either case with recommended stipend should be forwarded to the Superintendent’s designee who will then consult with appropriate NTA officials to agree upon a stipend. The agreed upon figure will then be forwarded to the Superintendent for a decision. The Superintendent’s decision shall be final. Should fUnds be unavailable to support a stipend, the activity may still be offered.

Notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 14 and 15, income derived by a resident of a Contracting State as an entertainer, such as a theatre, motion picture, radio or television artiste, or a musician, or as an athlete, from his personal activities as such exercised in the other Contracting State, may be taxed in that other Contracting State. 2. Where income in respect of personal activities exercised by an entertainer or an athlete in his capacity as such accrues not to the entertainer or athlete himself but to another person, that income may, notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 7, 14 and 15, be taxed in the Contracting State in which the activities of the entertainer or athlete are exercised. 3. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 2, income derived by entertainers or athletes who are residents of a Contracting State from the activities exercised in the other Contracting State under a plan of cultural exchange between the Governments of both Contracting States shall be exempt from tax in that other Contracting State.

  • Digital Health The HSP agrees to: (a) assist the LHIN to implement provincial Digital Health priorities for 2017-18 and thereafter in accordance with the Accountability Agreement, as may be amended or replaced from time to time; (b) comply with any technical and information management standards, including those related to data, architecture, technology, privacy and security set for health service providers by MOHLTC or the LHIN within the timeframes set by MOHLTC or the LHIN as the case may be; (c) implement and use the approved provincial Digital Health solutions identified in the LHIN Digital Health plan; (d) implement technology solutions that are compatible or interoperable with the provincial blueprint and with the LHIN Cluster Digital Health plan; and (e) include in its annual Planning Submissions, plans for achieving Digital Health priority initiatives.

  • Small and medium-sized enterprises 1. The Parties will promote a favourable environment for the development of the small and medium enterprises (SME) on the basis of strengthening of the relevant private and governmental bodies, as well as the exchange of experiences and good practices with the SME. 2. Cooperation shall include, among other subjects: (a) the designing and development of mechanisms to encourage partnership and productive chain linkage development; (b) development of human resources and management skills to increase the knowledge of the Chinese and Peruvian markets; (c) defining and developing methods and strategies for clusters development; (d) increasing access to information regarding mandatory procedures and any other relevant information for an SME exporter; (e) defining technological transference: programs oriented to transfer technological innovation to SME and to improve their productivity; (f) increasing access to information on technological promotion programs for SME and financial support and encouragement programs for SME; (g) supporting new exporting SME (sponsorship, credits and guarantees, seed capital); and (h) encouraging partnership and information exchange for SME financing institutions (credits, banks, guarantee organizations, seed capital firms). 3. Cooperation shall be developed, among other activities, through: (a) information exchange; (b) conferences, seminars, experts dialogue and training programs with experts; and (c) promoting contacts between economic operators, encouraging opportunities for industrial and technical prospecting.

  • Universal service 1. Each Party has the right to define the kind of universal service obligations that it wishes to maintain. 2. Each Party shall administer any universal service obligation that it maintains in a transparent, non-discriminatory, and competitively neutral manner and shall ensure that its universal service obligation is not more burdensome than necessary for the kind of universal service that it has defined.
