JOB TARGETING. On all jobs where an Employer is bidding against non union or alternate union contractors, the Union agrees to the following amendments to the collective agreement, subject to mutual agreement by the related parties, and such agreement will not be unreasonably withheld. a) Article 14.00 Regular straight time hours of work Monday to Friday shall be fifty (50) hours. b) Base Wages of all Employees shall be reduced by a minimum of 30%. Further reductions of wages by mutual consent only of the Union and Employer. Under no circumstances will the wage rate be below alternative contractor wage rates on the respective job being bid. (see note below) c) Article 19.02/19.03 travel time is rescinded.

JOB TARGETING. On projects where an Employer bound to this Agreement is facing non-union competition, the Employer may request that the project be targeted. The Union and the CLRA's Trade Classification shall form a joint Committee to receive such requests, and the Committee shall be empowered to alter wage rates, benefits, hours of work, shift premiums, etc. as it sees fit in order to make unionized contractors competitive on such projects. Employers must request that a job or project be targeted in a timely manner, but in any event, targeted rates, terms and conditions must be set and made available to all unionized contractors no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to tender closing. The Joint Committee may establish and publish such procedures of operation as it deems necessary to ensure the fair and reasonable operation of job targeting, and upon publication, such rules and procedures shall be attached to and shall form part of this Collective Agreement.
JOB TARGETINGThe Business Manager shall have authority to target a job for the purpose of protecting the jurisdiction of the Union and work opportunity of the Employees it represents. But while engaging in such targeting activities, the Union agrees that it will not discriminate against any contractor.
JOB TARGETING. 23.1 The stated purposes of Targeting are to increase the job security and employment opportunities of Union members and to permit Employers to compete more effectively with nonunion contracts by reducing labor costs. Targeting is established for the purpose of enhancing the economic development of the unionized glazing and architectural metal working industry in DC 9 Glaziers Local Union 1087's territorial jurisdiction and improving labor-management relations by means of targeting nonunion jobs intended to increase employment opportunities for employees by improving the economic competitiveness of employers who desire to employ employees. 23.2 Targeting will be relief from one or more articles in the Glaziers Agreement, when a signatory contractor is competing against a nonunion contractor on a nonunionjobsite. The union contractor will be required to fill out an application, supplied by the union, with all pertinent information and bears the burden of proving he/she is bidding against a nonunion contractor. A copy of all applications that are filled out by a requesting signatory will be forwarded to the President of the Window and Plate Glass Dealers Association for examination. 23.3 Local 1087 maintains complete and total authority to award / not award targeting relief. 23.4 Local 1087 agrees that in order to maintain control over targeting, no verbal authorizations will be permitted. All applications will be sent to the Window and Plate Glass Dealers Association for recording and examination.

JOB TARGETING. A Targeted Job is any project within the Territory of Local Union 252 defined above where the COUNCIL feels a competitive disadvantage exists which hinders an EMPLOYER, in good standing, from successfully competing on a project. Each EMPLOYER intending to seek targeting shall submit an electronic job targeting form through the job targeting website, during the bid process. Only written applications will be considered as formal requests for relief. The UNION shall have the right to deny the targeting within three (3) business days. Special circumstances will be considered. No request shall be unreasonably denied. Job Targeting may include the following: • Pinpointing. • Liberal use of apprentices. • Flexible work rules. • Glassworkers. • Lehigh Valley rates, applied for in the same manner as Pinpointing. Where in the opinion of the UNION it becomes necessary to grant flexible conditions on particular jobs, sometimes known as pinpointing, and specialty agreements or addendum to this contract are executed to ensure work will be maintained for EMPLOYEES covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement, no EMPLOYER shall assert any claims including any claims under Article 20 - Grievances and Arbitration under the MASTER AGREEMENT. This clause shall not be used to advantage non-union employers, non-signatory employers, non-member employers who execute the Association Agreement for purpose of performing a particular job.

  • Screening After you sign and date the consent document, you will begin screening. The purpose of the screening is to find out if you meet all of the requirements to take part in the study. Procedures that will be completed during the study (including screening) are described below. If you do not meet the requirements, you will not be able to take part in the study. If anyone is exposed to your blood during the study, you will have these tests done again. If you have a positive test, you cannot be in or remain in the study. HIV is the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). If your HIV test is positive, you will be told about the results. It may take weeks or months after being infected with HIV for the test to be positive. The HIV test is not always right. Having certain infections or positive test results may have to be reported to the State Department of Health. This includes results for HIV, hepatitis, and other infections. If you have any questions about what information is required to be reported, please ask the study investigator or study staff. Although this testing is meant to be private, complete privacy cannot be guaranteed. For example, it is possible for a court of law to get health or study records without your permission.

  • Human Leukocyte Antigen Testing This plan covers human leukocyte antigen testing for A, B, and DR antigens once per member per lifetime to establish a member’s bone marrow transplantation donor suitability in accordance with R.I. General Law §27-20-36. The testing must be performed in a facility that is: • accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks or its successors; and • licensed under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act as it may be amended from time to time. At the time of testing, the person being tested must complete and sign an informed consent form that also authorizes the results of the test to be used for participation in the National Marrow Donor program.
