JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE. 5.1 A Joint Liaison Committee shall be established within 20 days of the ratification of this Agreement by the Parties.
5.2 The Joint Liaison Committee shall be composed of 4 representatives of the Association and 4 representatives of the University. A quorum shall be 4 members, provided that 2 representatives of each Party are present.
5.3 The Committee shall be chaired jointly by one of the representatives of the Association and one of the representatives of the University who shall together be responsible for preparing and distributing agenda and minutes of meetings.
5.4 The Joint Liaison Committee shall review matters of concern arising from the application of this Agreement, excluding any dispute which is at that time being resolved under the grievance and arbitration procedures set out in Article 27. This Committee shall attempt to xxxxxx effective communications and working relationships between the Parties and shall attempt to maintain a spirit of mutual co-operation and respect. In the light of this objective, this Article 5 does not preclude the occurrence of informal meetings between representatives of the Association and the University to attempt to resolve differences that may arise from time to time.
5.5 The Joint Liaison Committee shall meet once a month from September to June inclusive, and at other times as it decides. Regular meetings may be waived by agreement by both Parties.
5.6 The Joint Liaison Committee shall not have the power to add to or to modify the terms of this Agreement, but shall act in accordance with 5.4.
JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE. 5.1 The Joint Liaison Committee for the administration of this Agreement shall be the Committee established under Article 5 of the Collective Agreement for full-time faculty and full-time professional librarians subject to 5.2.
5.2 One Association representative on the Joint Liaison Committee shall be a Member belonging to the Bargaining Unit covered by this Agreement.
5.3 The Joint Liaison Committee shall review matters of concern arising from the application of this Agreement, excluding any dispute which is at that time being resolved under the grievance and arbitration procedures set out in Article 23. This Committee shall attempt to xxxxxx effective communications and working relationships between the Parties and shall attempt to maintain a spirit of mutual co-operation and respect. JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE.
23.01 The University will appoint and maintain a Committee to be known as the “Management Committee,” one (1) member of which will be designated “Chairperson.” The Union will appoint and maintain a Committee comprised of representatives of the Union and persons who are employees of the University, to be known as the “Union Committee.” The members of this Committee shall be the two (2) Shop Stewards elect, and the Business Representative of the Union. On the request of either Party, the Management Committee and the Union Committee shall meet at least once every two (2) months for the purpose of discussing issues relating to the workplace that affect the parties or any employee bound by this Agreement. Either party may request a special meeting of the Joint Liaison Committee and such meeting is to take place within three (3) days. The Joint Liaison Committee does not have the authority to discuss or resolve grievances, (except as noted below) arising between the University and the employee(s) concerned, including possible renegotiations relative to this Agreement. The Joint Liaison Committee has the authority to discuss and resolve contracting out issues, regardless of whether a grievance has been filed concerning a specific contracting out matter. Issues involving contracting out shall be discussed in good faith and all reasonable efforts shall be made to address and resolve such issues. If agreement is reached, such agreement is binding and will be implemented.
JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE. In the event that there is a matter or issue of concern, the President of the Association will advise Human Resource Services of the concern or issue in writing. The senior administrator responsible for Human Resource Services or designate, and the Principal - Special Education or designate, shall meet with the President or designate and one other Association representative to discuss the matter, and take such action as the Board feels is appropriate in the circumstances. It is agreed that there will be a minimum of two (2) meetings per year with the option of mutually agreeing to additional meetings.
JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE. 25.1 Within fourteen (14) days of the effective date of this Agreement, the Governors and the Association shall form a Joint Liaison Committee.
25.2 The Committee shall be composed of three (3) representatives of each of the Governors and of the Association. A quorum shall be four (4) members, with two (2) representatives of each Party.
25.3 Two (2) members of this Committee, one (1) from each Party, shall be designated by the Committee as joint Chairs. They shall alternate in presiding over meetings and they shall be responsible for determining and circulating the agenda and notices.
25.4 The objectives of the Committee shall be:
(a) to review matters of mutual concern arising from the administration of this Agreement, excluding any dispute which is the subject of an appeal or grievance pursuant to any other provision of this Agreement or which has been submitted to arbitration for resolution;
(b) to review matters which are not covered by the Collective Agreement, but which are of concern to the Association and/or the Governors, with the understanding that the Governors shall not change rights of and practices relating to academic staff members that have traditionally been the subject of consultation or negotiation without consultation with the Association as provided for in this Article;
(c) to maintain and develop a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect between the Parties;
(d) to facilitate effective working relationships between the Governors and members of the academic staff;
(e) to xxxxxx good communication between the Parties, and to serve as a forum for the exchange of information.
25.5 The Committee shall meet as necessary but at least once every two (2) months during the academic year. Either Chair may call a meeting on seven (7) work days' written notice. Written agendas shall be circulated at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of each meeting.
25.6 The Joint Liaison Committee shall not have the power to add to or modify the terms of this Agreement, but may recommend possible additions or modifications.
JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE. The Employer and the Union agree that any problems related to scheduling of work under this Letter Of Understanding shall be addressed at a joint liaison meeting. Should a grievance arise concerning this Letter Of Understanding, the matter will be held in abeyance until such time as the Parties have had an opportunity to meet to fully discuss the dispute.
JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE. 10.01 In the event that there is a matter or issue of concern, the President of the Union will advise the Human Resources Manager of the concern or issue in writing. The Manager of Human Resources and his or her appointees shall meet with the President and one other Union representative to discuss the matter. It is agreed that there will be a minimum of two (2) meetings per year with the option of mutually agreeing to additional meetings.
10.02 The Joint Liaison Committee shall meet no later than November 30th in each calendar year to review and update the Occasional Teacher List to ensure accuracy of the list and to ensure that there is adequate coverage in the schools.
10.03 In emergency situations when the Board requests a meeting during the day the Occasional Teacher will be paid the appropriate daily rate.
JOINT LIAISON COMMITTEE a) A Joint Liaison Committee distinct from the Negotiation Committee and the Grievance Committee shall be established for the purpose of an interchange of ideas and information on matters of interest and concern to the parties with the exception of grievances.
b) The Joint Liaison Committee shall consist of up to three (3) members of the local executive and any number of members of the Board. Additional members may be invited by mutual consent of the parties.
c) The Joint Liaison Committee shall meet monthly September to June. Meetings may be added or cancelled by mutual agreement between the parties.
d) Meeting agendas will be established by mutual agreement.
e) Employees attending Joint Liaison Committee meetings shall suffer no loss in pay or benefits for time spent in such meetings with the Board. There will be no additional compensation (i.e. overtime) if the meetings exceed normal regular scheduled working hours.

10.02 The Joint Liaison Committee shall meet no later than November 30th in each calendar year to review and update the Occasional Teacher Roster to ensure accuracy of the roster, to ensure that there is adequate coverage in the schools and to discuss other concerns raised by either party.
10.03 In addition to the provisions of Article 20 regarding professional development, the Association will have the opportunity to provide advice to the Board regarding the provision and planning of professional development for Occasional Teachers through the Joint Liaison Committee.
10.04 In emergency situations when the Board requests a meeting during the day the Occasional Teacher will be paid the appropriate daily rate.
