Layoff by Seniority. In the event of a reduction of the workforce, employees shall be laid off by seniority with the least senior employee being laid off first. Layoff shall be by class and sub-title. In any class affected by a layoff, non-permanent employees in the affected class who are excluded from the bargaining unit in Article l, Recognition, shall be laid off prior to any bargaining unit employee. When the Employer decides to reduce the work force in a facility, Section 2, “Bumping,” of this article shall be invoked. When a layoff becomes necessary, the agency will identify the specific position to be eliminated and notify the incumbent in writing with as much notice as possible, but not less than four (4) weeks. A copy of the written notice shall be sent concurrently to the Union.
Layoff by Seniority. The basic principle in applying layoff shall be layoff by bargaining unit seniority (i.e. the most junior surveillance operator shall be the first laid off, providing the retained employee can perform the job).
Layoff by Seniority. In the event of a layoff, permanent employees will be laid off by reverse seniority in a classification at a point of assembly. Probationary employees shall be laid off before permanent employees in the same classification.
Layoff by Seniority. In the event of a layoff, the Employer agrees that employees shall be laid off in the reverse order of their seniority within their job classification. The employees shall be recalled to work in order of their seniority, provided they have the qualifications to perform the job. No new employees shall be hired in the job classifications in which a lay-off has taken place until laid off employees, eligible for recall in accordance with this article have been given the opportunity to work.
Layoff by Seniority. 15.2.1 When employees are subject to layoff, the employee(s) with the least seniority district wide shall be laid off first.
Layoff by Seniority. The County shall affect layoffs by seniority. The requirements set forth in this section shall be followed.
Layoff by Seniority. In the event of a layoff the Employer agrees that employees shall be laid off in reverse order of seniority.
Layoff by Seniority. The Employer shall determine in which classification(s), when 37 applicable, layoff will occur. Within each classification affected, the Employer shall layoff an 38 employee(s) in the following order: Employees in reverse order of classification seniority. The 39 employee with the least amount of classification seniority shall be the first one laid off, and this 40 process shall continue with other employees until the specific number of employees to be laid off 41 has been achieved. 42 43 Communications Sergeants will have the right to bump/displace Telecommunicators if the 44 Communications Sergeants has greater department seniority than a Telecommunicators. The 45 parties recognize and agree that the right to bump/displace is to a position in a different bargaining 46 unit.
Layoff by Seniority. The Port shall maintain one (1) seniority roster for police Officer classifications. Employees laid off as a result of reduction in force shall be laid off according to Police Department seniority on the appropriate roster. Employees with the least time shall be the first laid off.
Layoff by Seniority. When layoff occurs within a classification, the employee with the least seniority within the particular classification shall be the first laid off.
