Long-Term Substitute Teachers. Long-term substitute teachers who teach continuously for more than thirty (30) days on the same assignment (replacing one individual teacher) shall be paid according to their appropriate lane and step on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule. The maximum experience credit shall be based on the guidelines set forth in Article VIII, Section 1, Subd. 1. This provision is not retroactive.

Long-Term Substitute Teachers. 1. A LTS shall receive a regular teacher’s salary based on the negotiated teachers’ salary model as provided for in Appendix A of this Contract. To the extent permitted by law, the District has the right to determine the initial placement of the LTS Teacher on the salary model. If it is determined to be unlawful for a contract to authorize the District to do this, then for initial placement LTS Teachers will be placed on the salary schedule giving credit for all years of teaching experience and education. In that case, Row A would equal no experience, Row B would equal one (1) year of experience and so forth. However if a LTS Teacher is rated Ineffective or Improvement Necessary in any given year or years, those years will not count towards their placement. 2. Individuals who have served or are serving as LTS Teachers, upon subsequently receiving and accepting Regular or Temporary Teachers’ Contracts, not associated with filling in for a leave of absence teacher, shall be granted full credit for all time served as a LTS Teacher, if they receive an Effective of Highly Effective evaluation. 3. LTS Teachers are not eligible for the group insurance programs (Article 9), retirement programs, (Article 11), or Early Retirement/VEBA Trust Account (Article 12).
Long-Term Substitute Teachers. The employment of substitute teachers who become members of the bargaining unit under the provisions of Article 2, Recognition, shall automatically terminate upon the return to duty of the teacher whom they were employed to replace, or at the end of the school year in which they were employed, whichever comes first. Such termination is automatic, without the need for any further notice or action by the Board. The provisions in Article 11 of this Agreement relating to evaluation and non-renewal do not apply to such substitute teachers. The provisions of Ohio Revised Code §§ 3319.11 and 3319.111 do not apply to such substitute teachers. Long-term substitute teachers can be offered an unlimited number of one-year contracts. The provisions of this Article 15 supersede those set forth in Ohio Revised Code § 3319.10 with respect to such long-term substitute teachers.
Long-Term Substitute Teachers. Long-term substitute teachers, those hired to take the place of a regular bargaining unit member who is on an approved leave of absence or who leaves employment after the start of a school year and who are tentatively assigned to the same position for an anticipated assignment of sixty (60) school days or more during one school year, will become bargaining unit members after said sixty (60) days and from that time forward will be paid based on the appropriate teacher’s salary schedule. At any time during said sixty (60) days, the substitute may be removed from the long-term assignment and reassigned to short-term substitute status. Benefits in addition to salary will commence after said sixty (60) days. The employment of a long-term substitute will come to an end upon the return to duty of the bargaining unit member replaced by the substitute or the end of the school year, whichever occurs first. No Board action of non-renewal or notice of non-renewal shall be required. The long-term substitute contract will include the conditions of employment and non-renewal.
Long-Term Substitute Teachers. Long-Term Substitute teachers whose work is 186 days, shall be entitled to the terms and condition of this Master Agreement. Long-Term Substitute teachers whose work year is 31 consecutive days or longer in the same assignment and less than 186 days will be subject to the terms and conditions below. Section 1.
