Lunch Periods and Rest Periods. The District shall establish an unpaid duty free lunch period of not less than one-half hour for a unit member scheduled five (5) or more consecutive hours per day. The Board shall provide one paid 15-minute rest period for each unit member for each four (4) hour consecutive period worked exclusive of lunch at times approved by the immediate supervisor, but not during the first or last hour of the work day.
Lunch Periods and Rest Periods. Each employee shall be allowed a one hour unpaid lunch period and two fifteen minute rest periods daily. Lunch periods and rest periods shall be staggered so as not to curtail services to the public. Rest periods shall be considered as working time and may not be added to the lunch period or accumulated in any manner.

Each employee is granted two fifteen (15) minute rest periods during an eight-hour day or shift. An employee may combine the rest period/s with the lunch period and such request will not arbitrarily be denied by his/her/their supervisor. Employees are not permitted to move their break/lunch to the beginning or end of the day unless there are extenuating circumstances and the employee has received prior approval from their supervisor.
Lunch Periods and Rest Periods a. Over six (6) to eight (8) hour employees - two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods and a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch.
b. Four (4) to six (6) hour employees - one (1) fifteen (15) minute rest period and a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period.
c. All assistants may be assigned and/or reassigned by the Employer during the work day to allow other assistants from the same or other classifications to receive lunch periods and/or breaks.

Employees will be entitled to an unpaid lunch period of a minimum of thirty (30) minutes and a maximum of sixty (60) minutes during each work day that is greater than five (5) hours in duration. Lunch periods will be as approved by the Employer. Employees will be entitled to one (1) fifteen (15) minute paid rest period in each work day where they are scheduled to work at least four (4) hours. Employees will be entitled to two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods in each work day where they are scheduled to work seven (7) hours. Rest periods will be as approved by the Employer.
Lunch Periods and Rest Periods. Employees scheduled on the twelve (12) hour shifts on the Continuous Operation schedule will have two (2) 30 minute meal breaks and two (2) ten minute coffee breaks.
Lunch Periods and Rest Periods. A. Library employees shall be entitled to a meal period of not more than one
(1) hour for each full day of work at time designated by the Library Director.
B. A lunch period may not be used to cover an employee’s late arrival of early departure without approval of the Library Director, said approval or refusal will not be grievable nor arbitrable.
C. Day shift employees will be entitled to two (2) rest periods; 15 minutes each for each half of the working day. Second shift employees will be entitled to one 15 minute rest period in the first half of their workday, with a second rest period in the second half of the workday when practicable and when service to the public would not be adversely affected.

Employees will receive one (1) thirty (30)-minute lunch period and two (2) fifteen (15)- minute rest periods per shift, as scheduled by the Village, unless not allowed because of an emergency. Employees must remain at work until the beginning of the lunch or rest period and resume work immediately at the end of the lunch or rest period. Failure to secure said breaks, as a result of work load, shall not occasion the payment of overtime. ARTICLE VIII

The Board shall provide one paid (15) fifteen minute rest period for each bargaining unit employee for each (4) four hour period worked at times approved by the immediate supervisor but not during the first or last hour of the workday. Dinner periods and rest periods for evening and early morning shift employees shall be established whenever possible within the regulations for the day shift employees. Where a bus driver’s supervisor certifies that the driver’s duties prevented him/her from taking a duty free, unpaid lunch break, the lunch break shall be paid at the appropriate hourly rate.
