MANAGEMENT AND UNION MEETINGS. On the request of either party, a committee consisting of two (2) Employer Representatives and two (2) Union Representatives will meet at least once (1 x) every two (2) months, or other mutually agreed time, for the purpose of discussing issues relating to the workplace that affect the parties or any employee bound by this Agreement. It is agreed that the Local or National Union Staff Representative may attend these meetings as one (1) of the two (2) Union Representatives. The purpose of the committee is to promote the cooperative resolution of workplace issues, to respond and adapt to changes in the economy, to xxxxxx the development of work related skills, promote wellness in the workplace and to promote workplace productivity. Meetings will be arranged at a mutually agreed time.
(a) An agenda will be prepared at least two (2) days in advance of the meeting. Only items on the agenda will be discussed at the meeting.
(b) Minutes of the meeting will be kept, and distributed to all participating members.
(c) This Committee will not take the place of the Grievance-Arbitration provisions of the Collective Agreement, nor will any decisions of this Committee be permitted to alter any of the terms and conditions of employment contained in the Collective Agreement.
(d) Time spent at these meetings shall be without loss of pay.
(e) The parties agree that this provision meets the requirements of Section 53 of the Labour Relations Code of British Columbia.
MANAGEMENT AND UNION MEETINGS.
(a) The Unit Chair or his/her designate will endeavor to meet with the employer twice a week, or as needed, to review problems concerning grievances, the application and operation of the collective agreement. These meetings will be held during the normal working hours of the Unit Chair or designate.
(b) Upon request a person or persons designated by the Employer and empowered to act on a subject will meet with the Unit Chair or his/her designate and required area Shop Xxxxxxx(s) on a monthly basis, to review problems that may arise concerning the application and operation of the collective agreement. It is agreed that the Union staff representative may attend these meetings from time to time.
(c) The required Stewards will be permitted to attend such meetings with pay. Meetings will be scheduled at the Employer’s discretion.
(d) Minutes shall be kept as a record of the matters discussed during these meetings.
(e) Where the Unit Chair agrees there are no problems it will not be necessary to convene the monthly meetings.

It is agreed that the Union staff representative may attend these meetings from time to time.
(b) The required Stewards will be permitted to attend such meetings without loss of pay. Meetings will be scheduled at the Employer’s reasonable discretion.
(c) Minutes shall be kept as a record of the matters discussed during these meetings.

In order to improve communications between the parties, and in order to have a vehicle for the Company and Union to continuously review day-to-day issues concerning service, supplies and workload, as well as issues not covered by the collective agreement, the parties agree to establish a Labour-Management Communications Committee. The features of this Committee will be as follows: The Employer and the Union will each have three (3) representatives on the Committee; The Employer and the Union will select one of their representatives as a Chair. The Employer and the Union Chair will alternate in chairing the meetings. Meetings will take place at least quarterly. More often by mutual agreement. These meetings are to discuss issues related to the business and issues arising from the relationship including matters related to application and/or administration of the Collective Agreement. All meetings will be held on Company paid time.
