Administrative Vacancies. In filling vacancies in administrative positions, the Board shall consider the professional qualifications, background, attainments and other relevant factors including service in the School District, of all applicants from within the School District, as well as applications from outside of the School District. The parties recognize, however, that the filling of vacancies at the supervisory and administrative levels and the filling of newly created supervisory and administrative positions are a prerogative of the Board, and the decision of the Board with respect to such matters shall be final.
Administrative Vacancies. Whenever a vacancy occurs in an administrative position for which teachers are qualified and certified/licensed, the Superintendent will, whenever possible, publicize the position by sending copies of special bulletins to each school. These bulletins will include information about the general responsibilities, qualifications, procedures for applying for the position, the time and place to file an application and other necessary information relative to the position.
Administrative Vacancies. The College retains the ultimate authority regarding the filling of all vacancies.
1. In the event that the College creates a new administrative position or a vacant administrative position is to be filled through a competitive search process, the Human Resources Executive Director or designee will provide the President of the Association with a copy of the job posting at the time of advertisement.
2. Application for another position, whether within the College or elsewhere, is recognized as a professional right and shall not affect adversely a member's status in their present position.
3. College administration shall make an effort to identify qualified internal candidates to fill vacant positions.
Administrative Vacancies. 13:7.1 The District and Association agree that, except as provided herein, vacancies for the following Administrative positions shall be posted and subject to the screening committee described in 13:7.2: Principal, Assistant Principal. If the position of principal has been filled with an acting principal, the selection process may be waived if the acting principal has been evaluated in his/her position under DPASII.
13:7.2 It is further agreed that the District shall not be required to post a position which is filled through the reassignment, promotion or demotion of an existing administrator except for Principal and Assistant Principal positions when those positions are filled by other than demotion or lateral reassignment of an existing administrator.
13:7.3 The Superintendent will establish a procedure to provide employee input into the selection of district administrators for the vacancies posted under 13:7.1 above. A screening committee will be appointed and will include not less than two (2) employees appointed by the Association. After screening, this committee shall interview candidates who apply for positions posted pursuant to 13:7.1.
13:7.4 Candidates for administrative/supervisory positions will be notified of the final decision in writing within one (1) week of the ratification of the Superintendent’s decision by the Board. If an employee is denied a position, written reasons will be given upon written request. The decision of the Board regarding the filling of these openings will be final.
Administrative Vacancies. A notice of vacancy in an administrative position shall be sent to each administrator and a copy shall be sent to the Association at least five (5) work days before the final date when applications must be submitted.
Administrative Vacancies. A notice of vacancy in an administrative position shall be sent to the Association twenty (20) calendar days before the final date when applications must be submitted. The notice of vacancy shall set forth the position, its qualifications, its duties, and the rate of compensation. If there is a change in qualifications or job description when applications are pending, the Association shall be notified of these changes as soon as possible.
Administrative Vacancies. A. All vacancies which shall be known to occur during the following year will be forwarded to the President of the Supervisor's Association no later than May 15.
B. All Supervisors are entitled to apply for advancement and shall be considered the same as any other candidate.
C. Promptly after the Board makes its selection the Superintendent shall notify the applicants and the Association, thereof, in writing. Grievances by an unsuccessful applicant must be filed, in order to be considered, not later than five (5) school days after receipt of notice of the selection.
Administrative Vacancies. A. As used in this Article, the term “days” shall mean business days on which the district’s central office is open.
B. Any and all administrative vacancies which arise within the school system shall be published widely in our own school system and in teacher placement bureaus and universities within 10 days of the position being declared vacant or of a new position being created by action of the Board. Announcement date, qualifications, duties, and compensation should be clearly stated in the material. The notice should be dated and posted at least 10 days before the closing date for application. Except in cases of emergency, appointments to these positions should be made a minimum of 30 days previous to the date that the appointment is to become effective. Where there are two or more applicants for any vacancy or new position, the Board will make its decision based on qualifications and seniority. Qualification means certification, educational background, previous experience, evaluations, bona fide occupational qualifications and recommendations.
C. Administrators shall be notified by electronic mail of all vacancies and new positions.
D. Temporary vacancies created by sabbatical leaves, extended sick or personal leaves shall be filled on an acting basis until the administrator(s) return(s) to their position(s).
Administrative Vacancies. A. To facilitate the filling of administrative positions, an administrator leaving the district must provide the Board with notice of 60 workdays before the date of departure. Any administrator who does not satisfy this 60 workday requirement shall not receive any severance or accrued vacation days, if eligible.
B. A Notice of Vacancy in an administrative position shall be posted in each school and a copy shall be sent to the Association ten (10) calendar days before the final date when applications must be submitted. The Notice of Vacancy shall set forth the position, its qualifications, its duties, and the rate of compensation.
Administrative Vacancies. All teachers shall be notified of administrative vacancies and qualifications for each position, as soon as a determination has been made to fill the position. This provision does not apply to RAC positions to be filled by members of the RAC (current employee or on lay-off) and positions which are temporary in nature, i.e., a semester or less.
