Out of Town Allowance. An employee sent by the Employer to a job outside of Zone 1, and who is required by the Employer to remain away from his normal place of residence, will receive his regular rate of pay at straight time from the boundary of Zone 1 upon his commencement of employment on the job, and his regular rate of pay at straight time from the job to the boundary of Zone 1 at the end of the job, and the following allowances:
Out of Town Allowance. Where camp facilities are not provided, an allowance of forty-five dollars ($45.00) for each day worked will be paid in addition to the amounts outlined in (2) above. This additional allowance is to supplement mobilization, fuel costs, room and board, and such other expenses incurred. If the Owner Operator/Dependent Contractor is available for work on a normal work day and no work is supplied by the Employer he shall receive the above allowance. When the Employer does not schedule work on Saturday and the Owner Operator/Dependent Contractor is available for work, he shall receive the above allowance.
Out of Town Allowance. In regard to out-of-town allowances, it is understood that if the Employer requires an employee to be out of town overnight, the Employer will provide suitable room and board for the employee up to a maximum of Sixty Dollars per day and Three hundred dollars per week effective May and up to a maximum of Seventy Dollars per day and Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars per week effective May It is further projects located beyond kilometres, out-of-town allowances shall be paid seven days week. It is understood that when an employee is sent out of town by his Employer in the circumstances contemplated above, the Employer will maintain the rate of wages, hours of work and all fringe benefits provided for in this agreement including, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, welfare, pension, vacation and statutory holiday pay, training, etc., as provided herein. Where the Employer supplies transportation and where an employee is required by his Employer to report to a yard or assembly point within the Free Zone area before going to a job outside of this Free Zone Area, the employee will be paid Fifty percent of the provision in clause
Out of Town Allowance. (a) When a Paramedic works out of town (in excess of sixty (60) kilometres of home base) they shall receive the following meal allowance: Breakfast: $12.00 Lunch: $20.00 Dinner: $30.00 In order to be paid the meal allowances, the Paramedic who is claiming the meal allowance must submit proper receipts for the amount claimed.
(b) Those Employees working on Pelee Island will be compensated based on 24.07 a) if/when transportation to and from the main land is not running. This amount will be added directly to the employee’s weekly cheque and receipts will not be required.
(c) Those Employees working on Pelee Island will be compensated with a daily per diem of thirty dollars ($30.00) for each twenty-four (24) hour period. Article 24.07 c) does not preclude employees from utilizing 24.07 b).

An employee that is sent by the Employer to a job in Zone 2, and who is required by the Employer to remain away from his normal place of residence shall be paid his regular rate of pay at straight time from the boundary of Zone 1 upon his commencement of employment on the job and his regular rate of pay at straight time from the job to the boundary of Zone 1 at the end of the job, and the following out-of-town allowances:
(a) If the employee is required by the Employer to use his own vehicle, mileage of fifty-six cents ($0.56) per road kilometer travelled from the Employer’s yard to the jobsite upon commencement on the job and from the jobsite to the Employer’s yard upon completion of the job; and
(b) A room and board allowance of one hundred and thirty dollars ($130.00) per day or part thereof effective May 1, 2019; to be increased to one hundred and thirty-five dollars ($135.00) effective May 1, 2020 and one hundred and forty dollars ($140.00) effective May 1, 2021.
(c) For out of town assignments that last more than thirty (30) days, the employee is entitled to return home on every fourth weekend and the Employer shall pay him mileage of fifty- six cents ($0.56) per road kilometer travelled each way from the site to the boundary of Zone 1 if he uses his own vehicle and return to the site, but shall not pay the room and board allowance for the nights he is away from the jobsite.
Out of Town Allowance. 5.01 It is understood and agreed that if the Employer requires an employee to be out of town overnight, the Employer will supply a suitable room and board for the employee in the amount of one hundred and sixty dollars ($160.00) per overnight stay effective May 1, 2022. This amount shall increase as follows:

Out of Town Allowance. An employee that is sent by the Employer to a job in Zone 3, and who is required by the Employer to remain away from their normal place of residence shall be paid their regular rate of pay at straight time from the boundary of Zone 1 upon their commencement of employment on the job and their regular rate of pay at straight time from the job to the boundary of Zone 1 at the end of the job, and the following out-of-town allowances:
i) If the employee is required by the Employer to use their own vehicle to travel to, from and/or between jobsites in Zone 3, the employee shall be paid Sixty Cents ($0.60) per road kilometre travelled from the boundary of Zone 1 to the jobsite upon commencement of the job and from the jobsite to the boundary of Zone 1 plus a travel allowance of Thirty-Three Dollars ($33.00); and
ii) A room and board allowance of One Hundred and Seventy Dollars ($170.00) per day or part thereof effective May 1, 2022.
Out of Town Allowance. It is agreed that Out-of-Town-Allowance rates for work done outside the Corporate Area shall be increased as set out in Appendix III, Schedule C
Out of Town Allowance. On jobs outside the eighty (80) kilometre limits as defined above where camp facilities are not available, a rate of two dollars and sixty cents ($2.60) per operated hour shall be paid in addition to the amounts outlined in Schedule "A". This additional rate is to cover mobilization, additional fuel costs, room and board and such other expenses incurred by the Owner Operator. The above provisions (d) and (f) shall in no way be charged to the Owner Operator who is a bona fide member of the Union.
