Out of Town Allowance. An employee sent by the Employer to a job outside of Zone 1, and who is required by the Employer to remain away from his normal place of residence, will receive his regular rate of pay at straight time from the boundary of Zone 1 upon his commencement of employment on the job, and his regular rate of pay at straight time from the job to the boundary of Zone 1 at the end of the job, and the following allowances:

Out of Town Allowance. Where camp facilities are not provided, an allowance of forty-five dollars ($45.00) for each day worked will be paid in addition to the amounts outlined in (2) above. This additional allowance is to supplement mobilization, fuel costs, room and board, and such other expenses incurred. If the Owner Operator/Dependent Contractor is available for work on a normal work day and no work is supplied by the Employer he shall receive the above allowance. When the Employer does not schedule work on Saturday and the Owner Operator/Dependent Contractor is available for work, he shall receive the above allowance.

It is further understood that on projects located beyond 200 kilometres, out-of-town allowances shall be paid seven (7) days per week.

In regard to traveling time in the fringe area, beyond the Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx Free Zone as defined in Article up to a radius of kilometres, the employee will be paid at the rate of thirty-three cents (330)per road kilometre, one way from the of the free zone. Such payment is in lieu of room and board and is not paid when Company transportation to the job is supplied and straight time to a maximum of one and one-half hours’ pay a day one way from the of the free zone is paid to the employee. Effective May the Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx Free Zone shall consist of the area within the west side of County Line the south side of Highway the east side of 3rd Line or their extensions and including the Town of Newmarket. See Appendix Map It is understood that when an employee is sent out of town by his Employer in the circumstances contemplated above, the Employer will maintain the rate of wages, hours of work and all fringe benefits provided for in this Agreement including, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, welfare, pension, vacation and statutory holiday pay, training, etc., as provided herein. Effective May transportation of employees shall be maintained as per past practice, but no travel allowance will be paid for an employee to report to a yard or assembly point within the Free Zone area before going to a job outside of this Free Zone area.

Out of Town Allowance. The Company will pay to each employee a meal allowance of ten ($10.00) dollars for each breakfast and/or lunch and fifteen ($15.00) dollars for each dinner, plus hotel accommodations. In areas where the rate for reasonable meals are more expensive than the aforementioned then the employee will obtain a receipt to submit to the Company for reimbursement. Employees must submit a hotel room receipt to the Company.
