OVERTIME – Revise to read. For hourly employees overtime shall be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times the straight-time hourly rate of pay for all time worked beyond a forty (40) hour week. All overtime must be approved by the immediate supervisor, designee or other appropriate available supervisory staff. The Employer may require overtime from time to time. Overtime will first be offered to bargaining unit members by seniority and qualifications. The most senior employee may choose to work or decline overtime. If there are no volunteers for the overtime offered, the Employer may assign the overtime in order of reverse seniority. However, seniority shall not apply if the work to be performed in overtime is specifically pertinent to a specific job assignment given to a particular employee. Overtime pay rates for work performed on a holiday shall be When all other considerations are equal, preference shall be given to extending the hours of current employees over hiring new employees; provided that such extension of hours for current employees do not result in placing an employee into a work week in excess of forty (40) hours per week. Priority will be given to regular employees who work less than forty (40) hours per week. A list of employees who request additional hours shall be maintained and updated on a quarterly basis. Senior employees shall be given preference where more than one employee is available and qualified for additional hours. It is the responsibility of the employee to notify the supervisor of their request for additional hours. OVERTIME – Revise to read. Work performed on the any seventh (7th) consecutive day in any workweek of the affected employee without a twenty-four (24) hour period of off duty time in the seven days shall be compensated for at the rate of double the straight-time hourly rate of pay for the classification involved in the event that a seven (7) day work period is utilized. After the seventh day, the employee will be compensated at the regular hourly rate until such time as the employee works for seven (7) consecutive days again. PTO, EIB and all other categories of paid leaves shall be excluded from the calculation of overtime and double time.

  • Overtime Provisions (a) Time worked as an extension to the regular scheduled shift or time worked in a bi- weekly pay period that is in excess of seventy-five (75) hours shall be compensated at a rate of one and one-half times (1½ x) the Nurse’s regular hourly rate for the overtime worked. A Nurse who works in excess of four (4) hours overtime in any one day shall be compensated at a rate of two times (2 x) the Nurse’s regular hourly rate for the overtime worked. (b) Overtime shall not be claimed for less than fifteen (15) minutes at the end of a shift, but if overtime amounts to fifteen (15) minutes or more, the overtime rates shall apply to the total period in excess of the shift. (c) In computing overtime a period of thirty (30) minutes or less shall be counted as one-half (½) hour and a period of more than thirty (30) minutes but less than sixty (60) minutes shall be counted as one (1) hour.

  • Right to Refuse Overtime All employees shall have the right to refuse to work overtime, except when required to do so in emergency situations, without being subject to disciplinary action for so refusing.

  • No Layoff to Compensate for Overtime Employees shall not be required to layoff during regular hours to equalize any overtime worked.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Compensation for Overtime Assigned overtime is designated as those hours over the regular hours of work which are requested of the employee by management. Assigned overtime worked shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Equalization of Overtime Overtime shall be equalized as much as possible within each division. The parties agree that when bargaining unit employees work overtime in divisions other than his/her regular division, then those hours of overtime worked are to be figured into the employee’s overtime hours in his/her regular division for the purpose of equalizing the overtime within the division. (a) Employees shall be required to provide one (1) telephone number in order to be contacted for call-out assignments. Employees at their option may provide a second telephone number at which to be contacted. However, failure to provide a second number shall not be considered a loss and/or denial of an overtime opportunity. (b) Failure to respond and a refusal to any call-out/overtime opportunity shall be charged against the employee as if worked. (c) Employees who respond to the call/out overtime and actually work shall be charged for hours worked. (d) Employees who are off work due to vacation, compensatory time, sick leave for someone other than themselves or light duty (providing the call-out assignment is consistent with the applicable light duty restrictions), shall at their choice be available for call-out situations. If the employee chooses to work the call-out, he/she will be charged the overtime worked. Also, an employee who is off due to military service is considered not available for overtime and shall not be charged overtime hours. Employees transferring to a different division shall receive for purposes of overtime equalization the average amount of overtime worked that the existing personnel within the division and classification possess at the time of transfer in order to equalize overtime under Article 11. For the purposes of this Agreement, any refusal of overtime in other divisions will be charged to the employee in his/her regular division as if he/she had actually worked those hours, in accordance with Article 12(E) (Temporary Reassignments).

  • Overtime Pay ‌ Overtime pay shall be paid to the employee on the next paycheque after the expiration of the pay period in which the overtime was earned except as provided in Article 16.6 (Compensating Time Off) below.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance Employees required to work more than two (2) hours overtime consecutive with a shift shall be provided with a meal by the Employer.

  • Right to Review TFC reserves the right to review the insurance requirements and to require deletion, revision, and/or modification of particular policy terms, conditions, limitations, or exclusions (except where policy provisions are established by law or regulations that are binding upon TFC, PSP, or the underwriter) on any such policies when deemed necessary and prudent by TFC based upon changes in statutory law, court decisions, or the claims history of the industry and/or of PSP, provided however, such modifications must be commercially available to PSP. TFC shall make an equitable adjustment to the Contract Sum for any additional cost resulting therefrom.
