Part-Time Availability. (a) Any Regular and Temporary Part-Time Nurses who wish to work shifts beyond his or her appointment status are required to notify the Employer in writing. This notification will include information such as the desired number of additional hours or shifts, interest in shifts on other patient care units in addition to a Nurse’s home unit and any restrictions to a Nurse’s availability. (b) A calendar system will be used for each patient care unit for the purpose of scheduling additional shifts for both prior to and after posting of the schedule. (c) Any Regular and Temporary Part-Time Nurses who have provided notification in accordance with Article 7.20 (a) shall indicate their specific available dates, available shifts, additional preferred units, and available time, via the calendar on their home unit. (d) When a Regular or Temporary Part-Time Nurse has worked up to his or her desired extra shifts, he or she is responsible to remove his or her name from the calendar on their patient care unit. (e) A Regular or Temporary Part-Time Nurse will not be entitled to overtime until they have worked in excess of seventy-five (75) hours in a bi-weekly pay period except as outlined in Article 7.16 (a). Not applicable to a Nurse Practitioner.

Part-Time Availability. Part-time employees shall declare their availability three (3) times per year and shall be required to work according to their Declaration of Availability: (1) The last Sunday in December (2) The first Sunday in June (3) The third Sunday in August These Declarations of Availability will be effective on the following posted schedules: (1) The first Sunday in January (2) The last Sunday in June (3) The first Sunday in September In addition to the above, Employees may increase their availability between November 15th and the end of the year. The Employer may consider additional individual requests to change availability subject to business requirements as well as the current overall availability of the employees in the department. The Employer will make “Declaration of Availability” forms readily available to part-time employees. Employees who require a change in availability will submit, in person, a completed form to the Employer and the employee will be given a signed copy of the form at the time of submission. Provided the request is submitted Saturday by noon, the change will be reflected at the earliest, on the schedule posted the following Thursday. New employees shall be required to complete a “Declaration of Availability” form on or before their first day of work. An employee must not restrict themselves to the point that he or she is not available for normal scheduled shifts within the department.

Part-Time Availability. (a) For the purpose of providing coverage regular part-time nurses will declare availability for additional shifts on a twenty-four-hour basis, four (4) weeks prior to the posting of the rotation. For short term replacement purposes after the rotation has been posted part-time nurses may declare any additional availability. It is the responsibility of the part-time nurses to amend any changes to their availability. (b) A casual nurse will declare availability on a four (4) week basis for work on specific shifts four (4) weeks prior to the posted rotation. It is the responsibility of the casual nurse to amend any changes to posted availability or non-availability for shifts.
Part-Time Availability. (a) Part time employees must fill out a Monthly Availability Calendar that will outline a three (3) month availability block. This block will be updated on the first (1st) of every month to include the next month thereafter in order to update and keep current, the subsequent three (3) month block. (b) Part time employees must be available for work as agreed to during the hiring interview process and as stated in their letter of appointment. (c) Employees and managers shall agree to meet from time to time to revise these letters. All letters must meet the reasonable scheduling needs of the facility. (d) The reasonable needs of the facility may change due to programming and the time of the year. In revising the availability calendars managers will take into consideration both the employee’s commitment to be reasonably available that meet the scheduling needs of the facility and life/family circumstances that occur from time to time.
Part-Time Availability. (a) Part-time seniority shall be determined by Xxxxxx. The scheduling of part-time hours and promotion to full-time from part-time will be dependent on the qualifications and ability of the part-time employee to perform the work. Part- time employees will be scheduled from a part-time availability sign-up list. With respect to scheduling part-time employees, the Employer will schedule by seniority and availability up to twenty-four (24) hours or three (3) shifts (whichever holds the greatest earning power) for each employee until the list is exhausted. The remaining hours will be scheduled by seniority to a maximum of eight (8) additional hours. This cycle will continue until all available hours are exhausted. Hours scheduled for the purpose of formal on-the-job training are excluded from the above provisions and will be subject to review pursuant to Article 6.
