Premium Overtime on the employee’s straight time hourly rate, shall be paid on the following basis:
(a) Time and one-half shall be paid for all authorized work performed on a daily basis in excess of an employee’s regular shift, provided the employee works all his scheduled hours on that shift. A daily basis shall consist of a 24 hour period with the employees regular shift centrally positioned. All hours worked on Saturday, Sunday and holidays will be paid as per 12.01, 12.05 (b) (c) (d).
(b) Authorized work performed on Saturday will be paid at time and one- half for the first four (4) hours and at double time thereafter.
(c) Double (2) time shall be paid for all authorized work performed on Sundays.
(d) Authorized work performed on a plant holiday will be paid at double (2) time in addition to plant holiday pay as provided in paragraph 14.01.
Premium Overtime a. Premium overtime shall be calculated on the straight time rate.
1) Employees shall be compensated at one and one-half (1 1/2x) times the straight rate for hours actually worked which exceed the hours of a regularly scheduled shift of eight (8) hours or more a day.
2) Regardless of the employee’s assigned shift, the University shall pay double time pay for hours worked over twelve consecutive hours in a day.
3) This provision shall become effective for employees paid on a monthly basis the pay period beginning on October 1, 2019 and for those employees paid by bi-weekly the pay period beginning October 6, 2019.
Premium Overtime. Sundays shall be at the premium overtime rate, provided that Sunday is not part of the regular shift. Holidays shall be paid at double time.
Premium Overtime. Engineering Services Agreement • Budget
Premium Overtime. Direct Salary Rates shall be applicable to both straight time and overtime work, unless payment of a premium for overtime work is required by law, regulation or craft agreement, or is otherwise specified in this Agreement. In such event, the premium portion of Direct Salary Costs will not be subject to the Multiplier.
Premium Overtime. Members are paid overtime at one and one-half (1 1/2) their regular rate for all hours in excess of their regular schedule in the fourteen (14) day work period.
Premium Overtime. Non-exempt bargaining unit members are eligible to receive premium overtime pay for hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours in a regular workweek at a rate of not less than time and one-half (1.5) of their regular rate of pay. 16.1 Straight Time Straight time is paid for hours worked up to 40 hours per week. The employee will receive straight time pay on an hour to hour basis for each hour worked up to 40 hours in a workweek. Vacation days, holiday and excused absences will constitute as actual hours worked. Excused absences shall mean bereavement, personal leave and sick leave.
Premium Overtime. Premium overtime pay, computed at the employee’s regular rate plus one and one-half (1- 1/2) times the employee’s regular rate, shall be paid to employees called upon to provide services during a College declared emergency situation. Emergency situations may include, but are not limited to, broken pipes, HVAC failures, inclement weather, and power outages.
Premium Overtime. Premium overtime, which is defined to mean payment of one and one-half times the employee’s regular, straight-time, hourly rate, shall be paid to regular full-time and part-time employees for work performed in excess of a normally scheduled eight (8) hour day or forty (40) hour week, except that Cafeteria workers shall be paid premium overtime after thirty-five (35) hours in a week. There shall be no duplication or pyramiding of premium overtime under the provisions of this Agreement. Notwithstanding the provisions of this Article, no premium overtime shall be paid for hours worked that are less than eight in any one day or forty (40) in any one week except for Refuse Collection Crews whose schedule is set forth in Section 3 hereof. For the purpose of this Section “hours worked” shall include only hours actually worked and hours for which the employee is on approved paid leave other than sick leave or workers’ compensation/injury leave.
Premium Overtime. Saturdays and Sundays shall be at the double time rate (2X) provided Saturday and/or Sunday is not part of the regular shift. Holidays shall be at the double time rate (2X).
1. During a District designated nonwork/nonpaid day in instances of more than a 260- day work year, employees called in to perform work by their District supervisor, will be paid the double time (2X) rate.
