Purchasing Additional Leave. 6.2.1 Employees who are entitled to 6 weeks leave (annual/discretionary) per annum may apply to buy additional annual leave (by reducing their annual base salary by 2% per week) according to the following criteria: a) The maximum buyout will be three weeks per annum; b) The additional leave will be costed on an individual basis ensuring there is no disadvantage to the employee for each week of leave bought; c) Any agreement shall be for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years, and be in writing signed by the employer and the employee; d) Arrangements must be signed prior to 1 February in the year the additional leave is to be taken; e) The employee’s annual base salary will be adjusted to reflect the arrangement; f) All contractual leave must be taken prior to the additional annual leave.

Purchasing Additional Leave. (a) The Employer may offer full-time and part-time Employees the opportunity to purchase up to an additional two weeks’ of paid leave each year. Under such an agreement an Employee may access the additional leave in exchange for a reduction in salary of 1.92% for each week of leave purchased. (b) An Employee wishing to purchase additional leave must elect in writing, at the beginning of each financial year (ie. 1 July each year), if they wish to purchase additional leave and, if so, whether the leave purchased will be one or two weeks. (c) Annual leave entitlements must be exhausted before the Employee’s purchased leave will be accessed. (d) All purchased leave must be accessed over the 12 month period (ie. by 30 June each year). If any leave purchased is not used at the end of a 12 month period, or the Employee wishes to cease the arrangement, the foregone salary (if any) will be re-credited and paid out to the Employee. (e) Superannuation entitlements will be calculated on the pre-reduction salary. Annual leave loading and shift penalties do not apply to purchased leave. (f) Any overpayment of purchased leave may be withheld as a salary adjustment under Xxxxxx 26 of this Agreement.
Purchasing Additional Leave. 20.1 Colleagues may apply to purchase up to two (2) weeks' additional leave in any year. 20.2 Leave will be purchased via a salary sacrifice arrangement and the cost of purchasing additional leave will be deducted from the colleague's salary in equal instalments each pay period. 20.3 The colleague will be paid a reduced salary over the period they purchase leave and in return they will accrue the relevant proportion of purchased leave every 2 weeks, which will be credited on a fortnightly basis. 20.4 Approval may be granted to purchase additional leave for a period of one (1) year however approval does not guarantee continuation in subsequent years. 20.5 Purchased leave must be used within one (1) month after the final instalment if such a time is convenient to the employer and further leave cannot be purchased until the subsequent purchased leave has been taken.
Purchasing Additional Leave a worker may, after 12 months continuous service, purchase an additional two weeks annual leave inclusive of 17.5% of leave loading. Purchased annual leave must be applied for annually (per financial year) and taken within 12 months from the date approved. If, at the end of the 12 months period or upon termination, the worker has not taken the purchased annual leave, the worker will be reimbursed the funds accrued. Purchased leave is non accumulative.
Purchasing Additional Leave. 6.1.7.1. Purchased leave aims to provide the employee with the flexibility to access extra leave to assist in balancing work and personal commitments. By agreement with the employer, an employee may request to purchase an additional one, two, three or four weeks of annual leave per year. In considering this request regard must be had to the operational requirements of the workplace. 6.1.7.2. Purchased leave must be scheduled and utilised within the 12 month period in which it is purchased. Purchased leave not taken during this period will automatically be reimbursed in the employee’s pay. 6.1.7.3. Purchased leave will count as service for all purposes.
Purchasing Additional Leave. At the request of an employee, the employer may agree to an arrangement (the “arrangement") whereby the employee accrues either 1 (51/52), 2 (50/52), 3 (49/52) or 4 (48/52) weeks additional annual leave in lieu of salary of the equivalent value. Both the agreement to the arrangement and the time at which the additional leave is taken will be dependent on the operational requirements of the facility where the employee works at the particular time.
Purchasing Additional Leave. 5.5.1. Weekly team members can apply to purchase a maximum of 2 weeks of additional leave per Company financial year, using a salary sacrifice deduction scheme. Eligibility 5.5.2. Weekly team members are eligible to apply for purchased additional leave if: 5.5.3. They have less than or equal to 4 weeks accrued annual leave at application, and 5.5.4. All accessible long service leave has been exhausted at the point of application 5.5.5. Part time team members will be entitled to this arrangement on a pro rata basis. Applying for purchased additional leave 5.5.6. Weekly team members can apply for purchased additional leave at any time from the start of the Company’s financial year until 1 May the following year. 5.5.7. Purchased additional leave can only be applied for in 1 or 2 week blocks. 5.5.8. Team members are required to complete and submit an “Application to Purchase Additional Leave” form to their Line Manager for approval. Taking purchased additional leave 5.5.9. Purchased additional leave can be taken: a. Only after all accrued annual leave has been taken, and b. At any time during the Company’s financial year 5.5.10. Purchased additional leave can be taken at a time that is mutually agreed upon by the Company and the team member. 5.5.11. Requests for taking purchased additional leave will be treated the same as requests to take annual leave. 5.5.12. Purchased additional leave cannot be taken at half pay. Salary sacrifice deductions 5.5.13. Team members will have their salary/wages proportionally deducted using a salary sacrifice scheme calculated on the current salary/wages based on the number of weeks they purchase. 5.5.14. Salary sacrifice deductions will commence the fortnight after the application is received with the last deduction concluding by 30 May of the financial year.

  • Personal Leave With Pay Full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use up to a maximum of six days personal leave with pay per year provided that such days shall be charged against the employee's currently accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.
