Release Time for Association Officers. The Board shall provide release time for the Association President and one Association representative at each school during the year of their term of office. This release time shall be in the form of release from supervisory duty as defined in Article 6.8. The representatives to be release shall be determined by the Association. Notification of the Association representatives to be released from supervisory duty shall be made to the school principals by June 1 each year. This notification is for the following school year. In addition, the Association President shall be granted up to four (4) release periods from teaching; provided that the LWEA will reimburse the District ten thousand ($10,000) dollars per period of release time. The Superintendent will request payment for the release time on the last day of the first semester. All benefits respective to the Association President shall be the same as for full-time employees.

Release Time for Association Officers. The City shall provide for a reasonable amount of release time for Association officers to take care of Association business that the officer cannot perform during non-working hours. The City shall in its sole discretion determine the amount of time that is reasonable, and the Association officer availing him/herself of release time shall not engage in said Association activities during scheduled hours without first obtaining approval to do so from the Department Director or designee.
Release Time for Association Officers. The Board may provide release time for the president of the Association or his/her representative so that he/she may perform his/her functions efficiently. Such release time shall be requested in writing to the Superintendent through the respective principal three days prior to date of the meeting.

D. The Board agrees that one member of the Association who has been elected as official delegate to a conference or a convention of the American Federation of Teachers or the Illinois Federation of Teachers shall be granted a leave of absence, without loss of pay, to attend the conference or convention. The Board and the Association agree that the maximum number of work days with pay granted to the Association shall be five (5) per year and no more.
Release Time for Association Officers. 3.4.1 Two Hundred and Twenty (220) cumulative hours of release time per fiscal year for Association Officers and appointed Stewards. 3.4.2 The appointed Stewards shall be identified in a letter, which shall be provided to the County Office on an annual basis. 3.4.3 In order to take this release time, an employee must submit a written request, using the Request for Paid Time Off form, for the leave to his/her supervisor as far in advance as possible, but, except in emergency situations, no less than five (5) days prior to the commencement of the leave. Approved use of release time by an Association Officer and/or appointed Xxxxxxx must be reported using the County Office’s absence reporting system (as of July 2016, the system is AESOP) and the Association Officer and/or appointed Xxxxxxx must identify that the absence is due to “Union Business.” 3.4.4 If an Association Officer or appointed Xxxxxxx submits a request for release time for the purpose of attending a meeting between the County Office and a bargaining unit employee where the subject of the meeting is not one where the bargaining unit employee would have a legal right to union representation, then, if the County Office, in its sole discretion, approves the request, such time will be considered as release time under Article 3.4 and must be reported in the County Office’s absence reporting system (as of July 2016, the system is AESOP) and the Association Officer and/or appointed Xxxxxxx must identify that the absence is due to “Union Business.” 3.4.5 In determining whether to approve the request, the factors the supervisor will take into account, include, but are not limited to, the impact on the Program and the ability to obtain substitute coverage.
Release Time for Association Officers. 7.7.1 - The Association President or designee shall be allowed twenty-five (25) hours of paid release time each month to perform business involving the Association and the District. These hours must be cleared with the supervisor and taken at times not disruptive to the operation of the department of his/her employment and/or work schedule. Release Time for Association Officers. 1. The Board shall grant release time with pay to the President of the Association or designee, and one other employee, to attend a meeting of Local 1600's House of Representatives two hours early with pay on the third Friday of every odd-numbered month. The President shall be granted the third Friday of even-numbered months off two hours early with pay to attend Local 1600's Executive Board meeting. The chapter's delegates to the Local 1600 House of Representatives meetings as aforesaid shall be granted release time without pay. 2. Employees may be granted reasonable time off with pay (subject to paragraph D.4. below) during working hours to attend grievance and disciplinary meetings only, or if such employees are parties to, required to, or otherwise entitled to attend such meetings as Association officers, or grievants. Association meetings are not compensated. The Association President may also have the right to attend College meetings as assigned by the College President. 3. The policy regarding release time for Association officers and negotiators in effect immediately prior to the execution of this Agreement shall remain in effect during the term of this Agreement. 4. The President of the Association or designees shall be granted two regularly scheduled hours of release time with pay per week, if necessary, to conduct Association business. The supervisor must be informed, in advance, in writing, and must first assure coverage. The union time must be listed as a separate notation on the time card.

  • Union Officers Employees hereafter elected or appointed to full­ time Union office shall be granted a leave of absence without loss of sen­ iority but without accumulating seniority during the period of the leave of absence.

The President will coordinate the visits with the offices of the principals in order to facilitate the purpose of this visit.   • Directors and Officers of Surviving Corporation The directors and officers of Merger Sub at the Effective Time shall, from and after the Effective Time, be the initial directors and officers, respectively, of the Surviving Corporation until their successors have been duly elected or appointed and qualified.

  • Hospital-Association Committee (a) There shall be a Hospital-Union Committee comprised of representatives of the Hospital, one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and of the Union, one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate. The number of representatives is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions and the membership of the Committee may be expanded by mutual agreement. (b) The Committee shall meet every two (2) months unless otherwise agreed and as required under Article 8.01 (a) (iv). The duties of chair and secretary shall alternate between the parties. Where possible, agenda items will be exchanged in writing at least five (5) calendar days prior to the meeting. A record shall be maintained of matters referred to the Committee and the recommended disposition, if any, unless agreed to the contrary. Copies of the record shall be provided to Committee members. (c) The purpose of the Committee includes: i) promoting and providing effective and meaningful communication of information and ideas, including but not limited to workload measurement tools and the promotion of best practices. Such communication may include discussion of nursing workload measurement and patient acuity systems. The Hospital will provide, upon request, information on workload measurement systems applicable to nursing currently used by the Hospital, and evaluations completed by the Hospital of such systems. ii) reviewing professional responsibility complaints with a view to identifying trends and sharing organizational successes and solutions, making joint recommendations on matters of concern including the quality and quantity of nursing care and discussing the development and implementation of quality initiatives; iii) making joint recommendations to the Chief Nursing Officer on matters of concern regarding recurring workload issues including the development of staffing guidelines, the use of agency nurses and use of overtime; iv) dealing with complaints referred to it in accordance with the provisions of Article 8, Professional Responsibility; v) discussing and reviewing matters relating to orientation and in- service programs; vi) promote the creation of full-time positions for nurses, and discuss the effect of such changes on the employment status of the nurses. This may include the impact, if any, on part-time and full-time, job sharing and retention and recruitment. (d) The Hospital agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the Union attending at such meetings. (e) Where a Committee representative designated by the Union attends Committee meetings outside of her or his regularly scheduled hours, she or he will be paid for all time spent in attendance at such meetings at her or his regular straight time hourly rate of pay. Such payment shall be limited to two (2) Committee representatives per meeting.

  • Officers of Surviving Corporation The officers of the Company at the Effective Time shall, from and after the Effective Time, be the officers of the Surviving Corporation until their successors have been duly elected or appointed and qualified or until their earlier death, resignation or removal in accordance with the Surviving Charter and the Surviving By-Laws.

  • Other Officers Such other officers as the Board of Directors may choose shall perform such duties and have such powers as from time to time may be assigned to them by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may delegate to any other officer of the Corporation the power to choose such other officers and to prescribe their respective duties and powers.

  • Directors and Officers of the Surviving Corporation The directors of Merger Sub immediately prior to the Effective Time will, from and after the Effective Time, be the directors of the Surviving Corporation, and the officers of the Company immediately prior to the Effective Time will, from and after the Effective Time, be the officers of the Surviving Corporation, in each case, until their respective successors have been duly elected, designated or qualified, or until their earlier death, disqualification, resignation or removal in accordance with the Surviving Corporation’s certificate of incorporation and bylaws.

  • Leave for Association Business The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence, without pay, to nurses selected by the Association to attend Association business including conferences, conventions and Provincial Committee meetings and to any nurse elected to the position of Local Co-ordinator. The cumulative total leave of absence, the amount of notice, the number of nurses that may be absent at any time from one area and the number of days (including those of the Local Co-ordinator) is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. During such leave of absence, a nurse's salary and applicable benefits or percentage in lieu of fringe benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the local Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the daily rate of the full-time nurse or in the amount of the full cost of such salary and percentage in lieu of fringe benefits of a part-time nurse except for Provincial Committee meetings which will be reimbursed by the Association. The Hospital will bill the local Association within a reasonable period of time. Part-time nurses will receive service and seniority credit for all leaves granted under this Article.

  • APPOINTING OFFICERS If authorized by majority vote of the Members, the Chief Executive Member may appoint officers or managers and define their function and authority.

  • Officers and Directors of the Surviving Corporation The directors of Merger Sub immediately prior to the Effective Time shall be the directors of the Surviving Corporation, and the officers of Merger Sub immediately prior to the Effective Time shall be the officers of the Surviving Corporation, each to hold office in accordance with the certificate of incorporation and by-laws of the Surviving Corporation, in each case until their respective successors are duly elected and qualified.
