SECTION RECOGNITION. The Board hereby recognizes the Association as the sole collective bargaining agent for the members of the Police Service coming within the coverage of this Agreement. Page of The Board agrees that there will be no discrimination, interference, restraint, or coercion exercised or practised by the Board or any of its representatives with respect to any member of the Police Service because of membership or connection with the Association and that membership in the Association by members of the Police Service who are eligible to join will not be discouraged. The Association agrees that there will be no intimidation, interference, or coercion exercised or practised upon members of the Police Service by any of its members or representatives. The Association and the Board agree that membership in the Association is on a voluntary basis. The Board agrees that all members of the Police Service whether or not they are members of the Association are required as a condition of employment to pay the Association a sum equal to the monthly Association dues. The Board agrees to authorize a deduction for Association dues from the pay of every member of the Service within the scope of this Agreement and to transmitting the total amount of such deductions to the Association by the end of the month in which said deductions are made.

The Company recognizes the Union as the sole collective bargaining agent for all employees coming under the jurisdiction of the Agreement, save and except the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Meat Department Manager, Bakery Department Manager, and persons above the rank of Store Manager. The promotion to Second Assistant Manager, Produce Manager and Deli shall be at the sole discretion of management. The Company agrees that whenever the words "part-time employees" are used in this Agreement, they shall also include Students, unless Students are specifically excluded. In this Agreement the use of the masculine terms shall also include the feminine and vice-versa unless otherwise indicated by the content.

The Board agrees that if it becomes necessary to reduce the Service, this shall be accomplished in reverse order of seniority, and further, that any recall from layoff shall be accomplished in reverse order of layoff in that the last member laid off shall be the first member recalled, further that the member’s seniority shall remain intact, if returns within days.
SECTION RECOGNITION. The Employer recognizes the Union as the sole collective bargaining agent for all employees at their Plant, Alberta, with the exception of office staff, confidential employees, foremen, inspectors, permanent field service personnel, and those having the right to hire and fire. For the purpose of this Section, the Union shall elect a Negotiating committee of four (4) persons for collective bargaining and shall provide the Employer with a of the personnel comprising such Negotiating Committee and changes made therein from time to time within ten days of election or subsequent change in the personnel of such Negotiating Committee.
SECTION RECOGNITION. The Company Local of the Pulp, Paper and Woodworkers of Canada as the certified bargaining agent representing all employees as defined in this Agreement. It is agreed that the Local Union may hold meetings or conduct referendums on Company premises. National Officers or their representative shall not be denied access to the Plant. The Union that from time to time, the Company must contract out work not normally done by their employees. The Union also it is necessary at times to contract out work normally done by the employees. However, in the event that the Company decides to contract out work normally done by employees, it will do so only after advising the Standing Committee on the basis that the contracting out will not displace any of the regular employees.
SECTION RECOGNITION. The Company the Union as the sole collec- tive bargaining agency of the employees of the Compa- ny at except confidential employees. office employees and those employees with the authority to hire or discharge. It is agreed that when a dispute arises as to whether or not a person is an employee within the bargaining unit it shall be subject to grievance procedure as provided in Article Section Step Four, and in the event of failure to reach a satisfactory settlement it shall be dealt with by arbitration as set forth in Article Sec- tion The Union agrees to issue a withdrawal card to employ- ees transferred from the bargaining unit to a job outside the bargaining unit providing that no dispute arises within the meaning of Clause herein.
SECTION RECOGNITION. It is recognized by this Agreement to be the duty of the Company and the Union and the employees to fully co-operate, individually and collectively, for the advancement of conditions. Wherever the use of the male gender is used herein, it shall apply to the female gender wherever applicable. Wherever the use of singular is used, it shall imply either singular or plural.
SECTION RECOGNITION. The Company recognizes the Communication Energy and Paperworkers and the Union as the only agencies representing all employees defined in this Agreement for the purpose of Collective Bargaining.
