Sick Leave Credit Accrual. 8.5.2 In keeping with the provisions of the salary indemnity insurance contract with the insuring company, any amount of sick leave benefits paid under this Article that is ultimately recovered under a contract of motor vehicle insurance shall be repaid to the College by either the motor vehicle insurance company or by the employee concerned and the corresponding number of sick leave credits shall be restored to that employee.

Sick Leave Credit Accrual. Employees who have completed the probationary period shall be credited with three (3) days of sick leave credits and shall then accumulate sick leave credits at the rate of one (1) day per month of service to a maximum of fourteen (14) days. In order to qualify for accrual, full-time employees must work days or more per calendar month. The Employer shall implement a weekly indemnity plan to provide coverage effective on the first (1st) day of hospitalizationor accident for the first two weeks of an illness, or for coverage for weeks through of such illness or injury. Payment under weekly indemnity shall be sixty six and two thirds percent of scheduled straight-time wages lost. The weekly indemnity plan shall be effective on completion of probation for newly hired employees. An employee can return to work for one month and be for the full seventeen (17) weeks of coverage. Weekly Indemnity Cheques to be mailed directly to the employee's home.

Sick Leave Credit Accrual. For 2019, all full-time permanent employees in active 20 pay status during the first period in December, (known hereafter as the annual base pay period) 21 shall receive fifty-six (56) hours of sick leave credit credited to employees in December 2018.

Instructors employed half-time or more shall accrue sick leave credits on a rated basis. An instructor who commences employment during a period from the first (1st) to the fifteenth (15th) of the month, shall accrue full credit for that month. An instructor who commences employment from the sixteenth (16th) to the end of the month, shall not accrue credit for that month. An instructor who terminates employment during a period from the first to the fifteenth (15th) of the month, shall not accrue credit for that month. An instructor who terminates employment from the sixteenth (16th) to the end of the month, shall accrue full credit for that month. When instructors are not on duty, the accrual of sick leave credits will continue only if the absence is with pay. Except for periods of Maternity, Parental or Adoption leave provided for in Articles and instructors who are on leave of absence without pay in any one calendar month, shall be subject to the following provisions with respect to sick leave credits: Period of leave of absence: up to and including calendar days full credit; calendar days or no credit. Xxxx leave credits may be accrued to a maximum of two hundred sixty-one (261) working days. Instructors shall receive an individual accounting of their sick leave once each year in the month of September. Accrued sick leave credit is lost on termination of employment. However, such sick leave credit will be restored to an instructor on recommencement of service, as a term or regular instructor, within two (2) calendar years provided the previous termination was not caused by the instructor, and provided the instructor has not refused a proposed contract from the College in that period.

Any instructor absent because of illness may be required, upon being given advance notice, to produce a certificate from a duly qualified medical practitioner licensed to practice certifying that such instructor is unable to carry out their duties due to illness. Medical certificates will normally be requested only where an absence exceeds five

  • Sick Leave Credit ‌ All employees will be able to draw on a block of nine days' sick leave when they commence employment. If all or part of this block of sick leave is used it will be paid back as sick leave is accumulated. If an employee ceases employment and has a negative balance in sick leave credits, this amount will be deducted from his/her final paycheque.

  • Sick Leave Credits Regular employees who have completed their probationary period will accrue sick leave credits at the rate of one day per month to a maximum of 156 days. Upon completion of their probationary period, an employee will be credited with sick leave back to the employee's starting date.   • Sick Leave Credit-Based Retirement Gratuities 1) A Teacher is not eligible to receive a sick leave credit gratuity after August 31, 2012, except a sick leave credit gratuity that the Teacher had accumulated and was eligible to receive as of that day.

  • Sick Leave Accrual Full-time employees will accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave in a calendar month. Part- time employees will accrue sick leave credit on the same proportional basis that their employment schedule bears to a full-time schedule, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours in a calendar month.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits 31.1.1 An employee shall earn in respect of each fiscal year, annual vacation leave with pay at the following rates for each calendar month in which the employee receives at least seventy-five (75) hours’ pay:

  • Annual Leave Accrual If an employee leaves State Classified employment and is later rehired, he/she shall accrue annual leave at the same rate as a new hire. However, once a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for annual leave accrual. The only exception shall be for employees rehired who repay severance pay received.

  • Restoration of Sick Leave Credit Employees who have been separated from state service and return to a position (except as temporary employees) within two (2) years shall have unused sick leave credits accrued during previous employment restored.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.
