Step Up PayAny Employee required to fill temporarily a position, for a period of one shift or more, for which a higher rate of wages than that for such employee's regular work is paid, shall receive the higher rate while so employed and employees required to fill temporarily a position for which a lower rate than that paid for such employee's work has been established shall not suffer any reduction in pay by reason thereof. This provision does not provide additional pay for any senior constable who is filling in during the absence of a shift NCO/Sergeant, unless the Sergeant is off duty for Thirty (30) calendar days or more per illness or absence. (This 30 day provision as noted above comes into effect January 1, 2004).
Step Up PayThe parties agree that whenever it becomes necessary for a member of the AFSCME Maintenance Union to temporarily replace a member of the Operating Engineers Union an additional sum of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour will be paid to the AFSCME Union Employee.
Step Up Pay. A bargaining unit member who performs the duties of a higher pay grade pursuant to an express written assignment for five (5) consecutive work days, shall be paid at the appropriate rate of pay (the next highest step which results in no less than a three percent (3%) increase in pay) of the grade in which he/she performs the work for all hours worked in said grade.
Step Up Pay. Any patrol officer performing the duties of a higher rank shall be paid at the higher rank rate, but only after performing such duties for three consecutive days (pay at the higher rank commences on the fourth day). See separate Letter of Understanding executed by the parties hereto.
Step Up Pay. 8.1. Where any Member is temporarily stepped up to fill a Company Officer or Chief Officer position, they will be paid an additional hourly rate according to Appendix A, Step Up Pay. 8.2. The most senior, non-probationary Firefighter on-duty shall assume the Supervisory position in the event that a staffed station does not have a commissioned officer on-duty. However, if there is a Firefighter at that station that is on a current promotion eligibility list. then they shall be stepped up rather than the more senior person at the equivalent rank.
Step Up Pay. 19.1: When an employee is temporarily transferred in accordance with Article XVII the employee will receive the rate of pay of the job to which he has transferred. If an employee is temporarily transferred by management to a lower rated job, he retains his old rate if higher, for the duration of the temporary transfer.
Step Up Pay. A bargaining unit member assigned to the classification of Sergeant will receive the rate of pay for that classification for each hour worked; provided that on an overtime day the employee shall be paid the rate of pay for that classification at time and one-half.
Step Up PayAn employee who is temporarily assigned to a Bargaining Unit job, except for training purposes and such job is paid at a higher rate than the employee’s regular job and the employee works at such job for two (2) hours or more, that employee will be paid at the higher rate above his regular rate of pay, whichever is less, for the time actually so worked. The employee with the most Bargaining Unit seniority on the crew and/or at the location shall receive the step-up assignment. Any existing bargaining unit position which is filled on a step-up basis, except for illness, vacation, or other approved leave of absence or injury, for sixty (60) work days or more in a given year, unless extended by mutual written agreement, shall be posted for bid. Step Up PayIn the event that a firefighter is stepped up to an engineer or an engineer is stepped up to a captain, an increase of $2.00 per hour shall be given for the duration of the step- up.
Step Up PayWhen an employee is assigned to perform the work of a higher paid position for one (1) work day or longer, he or she shall received the higher rate of pay for all such time worked in the higher position.
